Feast & Fancy

I passed this store a hundred times before finally stopping. Such a surprise. It’s a tiny shop with a mini-​deli and a wide variety of little homemaker goods such as one might buy for gifts or to treat oneself. This store carries some of the most attractive paper products I’ve seen anywhere — paper napkins, guest towels, etc. in patterns unlike anything seen elsewhere except at Crate and Barrel. The deli produces a nice assortment of salads. I love their scrumptious curry chicken salad, freshly shaved tender roast beef and homemade baked goods. I dare you to try their Russian tea balls: almond flavored delicacies to die for. (grin) Eventually I’ll buy one of those gorgeous ceramic pie keepers (with lid). They are unusual and pretty. The store is staffed by a bunch of helpful senior ladies who are kind and witty. Sure beats the volume-​intensive market down the street! Feast and Fancy has become a regular stop for me whenever I’m in the area.
