History

Established in 1983.

In 1983, Doug and Dennie McCaul began building a legacy of professional quality funeral services to the residents of Hernando County when they opened up Pinecrest Funeral Chapel. Since its inception, Pinecrest Funeral Chapels has grown in reputation as a provider of all aspects of funeral services in a manner that is dignified, respectful, compassionate and professional. Pinecrest Funeral Chapels has always desired to be good neighbors.

Today, 30 years after it all began, Pinecrest Funeral Chapels remains family owned and operated and that tradition of dependable service continues. WE CARE!

Meet the Manager

Thomas R.

Manager

Tom joined the Pinecrest Funeral Chapel family in 2008. He is a native Floridian who now calls Floral City home with his wife Stacey, two sons: Nathanael and Colton, and their dog Harley. Tom is a graduate of PHCC and St. Petersburg College. He is active in the Hernando County Ministerial Association, volunteers with the Brian R. Buesing Young Marine program, and participates in the Pure Country 4H Club. Tom also serves as pastor of Stagecoach Junction Fellowship in Bushnell, FL.

In addition to spending time with his family, Tom enjoys music, the outdoors, and anything and everything associated with the Florida Gators!
