Spring Green’s original Taliesin inspired motel on 3 beautiful acres, comfortable and clean, all non-​smoking rooms, a recent designer makeover, friendly atmosphere, 11 units. Free WI-​FI. A selective Wine collection available in the lobby.

We are Romanian born and hospitality is in our blood; lived in Austria — Innsbuck, then moved to the USA to New York City, where was short lived; after that we moved to Madison WI, and then Spring Green for the hotel business. Traveled extensively — in about 45 states (hard to remember which ones I missed), Canada, Europe, New Zealand and Australia. I have a multicultural work and life experience as well. Enthusiastic, passionate about life, I love traveling, photography, networking and offer green consulting for a new life style!

The service here is outstanding! Nicest people! The rooms are very clean & are updated but still show the Frank Lloyd Wright theme. Love the King room!!!

Stayed for 1 night while attending a play at Players Theater, very clean and comfortable. I am a Wright fan so staying in a motel designed by one of his apprentices was a plus. The owners have maintained the historical nature of the building. Staff was very friendly and offered great food recommendations. A good choice if you want to avoid a cookie cutter motel or the nearby hype of the House on the Rock.

I stayed there due to the Frank Lloyd Wright tie in. His influence definetly shows. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Downside was the room condition. It was a bit shabby and need of a renovation. The ceiling was peeling and the paintwork a bit less than professional. Power strip extension cords run everywhere. I understand the place is for sale and hopefully the new owners will spend a little bit to spruce it up.

Beautiful small motel immaculately maintained. Designed by a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. The owner was wonderful. The view is of cornfields but what else would one want in Wisconsin. Close to the downtown area and House on the Rock. The shower was one of the best I have ever used.

Despite a 4-​star review, Carolina D., the Inn’s proprietress, asked me to update my review to reflect the fact that each shower contains «commercial grade hair and body shampoo.» The dispenser had a sticker labeled «shampoo.» Therefore, we assumed they did not have body wash. We stand corrected. Reliable WiFi would earn this Inn 5 stars.

Wonderful to live in a little bit of history while on a Frank Lloyd Wright pilgrimage. The rooms are sufficient and bathrooms newly updated.
Wi-​fi and phones didn’t work, but the locals say they all have that problem.
The location is near most everything to do in Spring Green, and there is a lot. This tiny town is loaded with charm, good, healthy food and more kind and friendly residents than should be legal, small town ambiance at its best. Mayberry it’s not, but maybe it’s our generation’s answer to Utopia. I certainly will return, both to the town and the Usonian Inn.
BTW; the Usonian is for sale, but don’t anyone change a thing other than to get it on the grid.

Nice clean place that we recommend. My wife found the Usonian on Unilocal.Not many reviews at that time but what was there was good. (The room had some extra stools that didn’t do much but take up space so the room could have felt bigger.) But over all the value is very good and we enjoyed our stay.

My wife and I stayed here during our visit to Taliesin East and it is the perfect accommodations for a Frank Lloyd Wright pilgrimage. The room was clean and comfortable. The owner could not have been friendlier or more helpful. It was truly a joy to find this gem on our travels.
