I’ve been getting more and more into shape and was introduced to Power Park Fitness in passing. At first glance, it seems like a great time! Reminiscent of all the obstacle races that have cropped up in the recent years without the ”race” and«mud». I decided to have a go at this obstacle race. $ 20 for first timers(don’t forget to ask for your military discount!) Although I enjoyed many of the obstacles, this«gym» is a replica for obstacles seen in American Ninja Warrior. Unbeknownst to me, many of the obstacles(«challenges») require significant upper body strength which required me to bypass after failed attempts to try to hold myself up with my stick arms. At one obstacle(the javelin throw) if you miss the target, then you had to do several burpees. I would recommend to the course owners that if they’d like to widen their customer base, to offer optional courses at each station(or some). The gym does offer to have a coach run you through the challenge course for a fee of $ 60. The entry fee also provides access to their indoor gym with have a multiple of agility, obstacles, more upper body strength challenges.
