Zesty’s Family Restaurant

Great food and great people. This little place really surprised us… it doesn’t look like much from the outside or on the inside. But the food is amazing. I had the cowboy burger and my wife had the Greek burger. Both fantastic. Will be back to try their pizza. Friendly staff and a really great cook.

Second visit and Danny was in rare form. He’s great and an excellent cook. Chicken parmesan with spaghetti is great and portions are filling. Recommend you give them a try.

This is the first visit and I must say I was impressed. I read others reviews and that’s why we chose Zestys. The waitress was fantastic, super attentive and happy to be there. It was her first day so she was getting use to the menu. My husband and I shared a Greek salad and a supreme pizza. The salad was delicious with lots of feta cheese. The pizza was crisp, loaded with lots of toppings and the sauce was sweet. We also had the privilege of chatting with the owner Danny. He is a gracious young man and a hard worker. Gotta love Greek folks! We’ll be back again to try their burgers.

Had a late lunch there today. Food was very good, service was excellent, and we left well satisfied. We will definitely be going back.

If it wasn’t for the price being a little high, they would get five stars. I’ve only ordered the pizzas, but they were delicious. I look forward to getting one of their burgers on my next visit.

I used to eat here all the time but moved out of the area. I miss the pizza so much. The owner is a great guy and a hard worker. I look forward to eating there again next time I am in the area.

Ambiance: The restaurant is so organize, and clean. The employees greet you with a warm welcome which makes you feel like you’re at home. The holiday decorations are a great touch too! This is a great place to have a small intimate gathering with your friends, too.
Service: Once you choose your seat, the waitress promptly greets you and is eager to take your order. They are fast about taking your order but also fast about filling the order just as quickly which is amazing when you’re so hungry and thirsty.
Food: The dishes I order was the garlic cheese bread and the manicotti. Firstly, it is amazing to order a main dish and not be offered a salad on the side for an extra charge but asked which dressing you’d like because the salad comes with the dish. it’s not an extra $ 3.00 for once. Thank goodness, vegetables without that extra charge! The garlic cheese bread was a nice size portion. It was crunchy without being over cooked because no one wants brick hard garlic bread. For the main dish, the manicotti was bubbling hot when it was served. In this cold weather the last thing anyone wants is a luke warm meal. The manicotti was a great portion and it tasted amazing. The sauce did not taste like it came from a can. It’s even better that it was noticeable that the sauce is clearly made with a lot of love! Overall the dish will not disappoint. Though it was my first time here, I promise you it will definitely not be my last time here either.

Zestys is great. The food is amazing and everyone is so friendly. I love the side salaD that comes with the meal. My boyfriend isn’t a fan but he only like iceberg lettuce. I hear that the garlic bread is also great, but I can’t advise. Somehow whenever it comes with my meal it gets snatched off my plate by my dinning partner. My only word of caution is if your order the fried mushrooms (which you should because they are great) they come out super hot. It seems silly to even include this but EVERY time o order them o don’t think about it and dive right in and immediately burn my mouth. If you demonstrate a little self control (which obviously I don’t) you should be fine!

There must be something about a restaurant attached to a gas station because this is the second one I have been to that is great! The gyro was very good. Chicken parm sandwich on ciabatta roll was nice surprise. The fries were very good as well. Service was good. The only downside was the bathrooms. While clean, they had a funky smell to them.

The owner of Zesty’s is a genuine Greek who knows Greek food like no other. The pizzas are great, the prices are fair, and the atmosphere is very family-​friendly. I get a gyro almost every time and it is, by far, the best gyro around! Zesty’s is only a few miles from the lake and is the perfect spot to gab lunch or dinner when you find yourself in the Lake Anna area. Highly recommended by the locals!
