History

Established in 1972.

Silvey Construction was founded in 1972 by Mike Silvey, the president and owner of the company. In 2001 the business was incorporated. In 2004 Mike’s son Jared joined the business. Silvey Construction is now in its Third generation of builders.

Raised in a family of builders, Mike learned the business from his father. In the beginning Silvey Construction built speculative and custom homes in the Spokane area. In the mid 1980’s a previous customer asked Silvey Construction to build him a dental office on Spokane’s South Hill. This led to a referral for a second dental building. Since that time Silvey Construction has become the leading builder to the dental community in the Inland Northwest and North Idaho.

Meet the Manager

Jared S.

Manager

Born and raised in Spokane. Jared graduated from University High School in 1999. As Mike’s son he had plenty of on-​the-​job training during summer break. Jared graduated from Brigham Young University-​Idaho in 2004 with a bachelor of arts degree in business management, and a minor in finance. Jared returned to Spokane and the construction industry after working with Merrill Lynch in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Jared has been the project manager on residential, dental, medical, and retail projects as well as estimating and accounting duties with the company. Jared has also earned the LEED Green Associate credential from the U.S. Green Building Council.
