River Park Square

Spokane, WA: Great small mall!
A very clean, and attractive, centrally located indoor mall, the only one in the city of Spokane that sits right across the street from the Spokane City Hall. A few blocks away are the Spokane River and the Centennial Trail. Within a block away are two incredible public parks, Riverfront Park, and Huntington Park. Others have already shared names and tips about many of the shops here. My visit today showed that there are few vacancies. A new southwest grill, Tortilla Union, is coming in by Nordstrom’s mall entrance. Outside, across the street from the soon-​to-​be former Macy’s building (final closing was on March 20, 2016), is a new Urban Outfitters under development. There were a few more forthcoming that I don’t remember. A notable mini shop is the Anemone kiosk located near the Concierge desk. Their handcrafted paper flowers are stunning! Nearby is a table with two chairs, available to anyone needing to take a load off their feet. Check out the accompanying street sign post by this table [see my photo] Additionally, after visiting the «Visit Spokane» booth on the main floor, and having a very pleasant chat with the staff person, I left with several handy brochures and new booklets.
I usually park on the street (free all day on Sundays) but paid underground parking is available, with discount validations from mall stores. Link below for detailed parking information for the area. I love to play tourist in my own neighborhood!

I really like River Park Square. My husband, daughter, and I will go during a weekend and get something to eat downtown or just simply walk around and take a look at the scenery downtown. The stores inside the center are pricey but a nice high end selection of chain and mom & pop shops. I like the selection of children’s stores here and is my main go to shopping spot if my daughter needs any clothing.

Rating this mall on its own merits, and not comparing it to any other malls I know, this place would rank a solid 4 stars. Sure, the individual stores housed here are way smaller than those in larger malls in larger cosmopolitan areas, but c’mon people! This is Spokane! And this mall is a gem.
Located smack dab right across the street from Riverfront Park, this mall straddles Spokane Falls Blvd. and Main Street, and is accessible from either street. There are skybridges connecting it to neighboring stores, like Macy’s. You can hang out with friends and family in the awesome Riverfront Park and then come to this mall for lunch or dinner and/​or a movie and/​or some «retail therapy».
There’s a decent selection of stores, with Nordstrom’s and Macy’s acting as anchors. There’s also a Sephora and Aveda, North Face, Gap, Made in Washington, and more. Because of the atrium-​like architecture, there’s a lot of natural light that filters in to the lobby, and the mall itself feels warm and welcoming and not at all overwhelming (as some larger malls do).
There’s a sushi restaurant and grill restaurant on the main floor, and a martini lounge on the 2^nd or 3^rd level, with a Rocky Mountain chocolate island in the entryway (DANGER!!!). There’s also a lovely chocolate shop with flowers and gorgeous Papyrus cards on an upper level, as well as a food court.
I can’t speak for the parking garage here, but it sounds like most people aren’t fans.
This mall’s location just cannot be beat! It is as centrally-​located as you can get, here in Spokane.
This would be the quintessential meeting spot for anyone in the city, for sure. All of downtown is a hop, skip and jump from here.

Best shopping center in Spokane by far. There are stores for every type of person from young to old. Also the architecture is gorgeous. They went with an outdoor theme. There are lampposts inside and large escalators. Riding up the escalator and looking out over the atrium is one of the best urban views of the city. Also make sure to stop by in December to see the largest indoor Christmas tree in the town. If you want to see a movie the AMC Theater located on the 3^rd floor is the best large movie theater in town. Also, this shopping center is soon to have an Urban Outfitters!

I love this mall. It has Nordstrom’s and Macy’s which are two of my favorite stores. The parking is pricey but it is downtown and you can try to find parking on the streets. It also has a lot of smaller stores and AMC movies.
Their Christmas tree is very tall and very beautiful during the holidays and I love the big windows looking out when you are riding the escalators!

I absolutely love this part of downtown, and I don’t even have to see the tallest tree (Christmas) to be happy to come here. In fact, during my most recent visit, the Easter Bunny was available!
Nordstroms is here but so is Macy’s, the Loft, White House, Black Market, just to name a few. PF Changs and Starbucks are across the street. But it’s really more than that. It is the memories that this downtown holds for me (shopping with my grandmother and my mom at the Crescent and Bön Marche and working down here for a year many moons ago).
I love the fact that most of the people that I encounter here are happy, even though they may have had to pay for parking.
The skywalks, which have been here a long time, are great for the winters too.
My first choice for shopping in Spokane is always River Park Square!

I like the set up of this mall, I love the downtown feel and street side shops that surround it. I wish there were more stores but that is a small complaint.

Didn’t read other people’s comment, but I wonder how can you give the downtown mall of Spokane Washington which houses soooo many different restaurant, clothing stores, & more with a bad rating?
My rating is based on that. That it has many a variety of things to see and shop for. That gets 5 stars.
Also it has its own parking garage. Most if not all shops that you go to can vouch or vale a discount off your parking fee, which is courteous.

One attendant for the parking garage on the night of the Pig Out!!! Insanity 30 mins to get out! Absolutely terrible!!!

Anchored by Macy’s and the only Nordstroms in Spokane, for that matter, the only Nordstroms east of Seattle until you get to Chicago (if you don’t count the Rack). Located in downtown Spokane across the street from River Front Park and central to many, many of the amenities available downtown. Not an overwhelming amount of retail stores but has some cool ones, Williams Sonoma, Apple Store, Pottery Barn, Banana Republic and quite a few other stores that can only be found here locally. Also houses the AMC 20 theatres with IMAX. The actual food court is average but connected and surrounding eateries make it a good destination to dine and shop. Paid parking garage that you can get up to $ 3 off through validation through selected retailers.

The parking garage is in desperate need of a makeover/​update. The winding, one-​way passage vehicles must drive to exit is a bit of a nightmare for bigger vehicles.
Decent retail variety, but confusing, multilevel setup. I’ve been to malls all over the country and this one is really quite confusing and somehow feels a bit disjointed.
Also, renting a double stroller is time consuming… but free once you fill out the paperwork. Being your own stroller for a faster, smoother experience.

Limited selection of stores at this 3 story mall. The first floor doesn’t have much; a sushi restaurant and a few women’s clothing stores. The second floor has a GAP, Aveeda, Bath and Body Works, Macy’s, and that’s all that I’m really interested in. The third floor consists of a food court and AMC movie theater. This mall makes me miss the amazing and huge malls of SoCal. For the appeal of this mall to improve, I hope to see more women’s shoe stores and clothing stores such as Forever 21, H&M, Aldo, Express, and Urban Outfitters.

Twigs is a great bar! Great service and great happy hour! Went at 9:00 on a Wednesday night with my hubby and got 4 drinks for under $ 20! Amber was a great bartender and we had so much fun! Too bad last call was at 10:00!

Opened more stores since I was here last. They still only charge you $ 2 for parking if you show them your move stub. The AMC theater is the best one in town.

I used to work dGreat place to people watch as well. owntown and I live close to downtown. I like coming here. It has many stores that are not found at the malls. Love the movie theatre and food court. Great place to people watch and 2 great restaurants. I’m not going to grumble about the parking situation.

The parkade is the best part of this mall. Great food spots, hardly ever able to get my parking validated just like the location close to all things downtown.

Cool mall with lots of stores and restaurants. Some of the stores are accessible from the outside only which made navigating the mall a little odd. I liked the Whiz Kids store the most. I also like the AMC 20 Theater attached to the mall too.
Overall, this is a good mall to visit when you want to a little shopping, get a bite to eat, and see a movie.

It’s a pretty nice mall. I’ve only been a few times and mostly to eat. They have your usual mall stores, Gap, Nordstrom’s, Bath and Body, you know, nothing super special, but nice place in downtown Spokane.

This is a great mall .
Being a transplant from the Seattle area, this is the closest mall (close is a very loose term when you live about 45 minutes away!) that is worth going into. Don’t waste your time at Northtown.
They have a parking garage but more often than not we luck out with some street parking! Their gamestop has some awesome people working, they have patience for days!
