Great food! I had the falafel. I am giving it only 4 stars because I wish the French fries would have been crunchier and more seasoned. However, the falafel was really good. Great service and atmosphere! I will definitely be coming back.

Pleasantly surprised! I drive by Picabu all the time and always think«we need to try that bistro.» We ordered the Curry Bowl and the Phili Steak. Both phenomenal with flavor!!! Probably the best philly steak flavor i have ever experienced. We traded half way through and I did not want to give up my curry. It was sweet and spicy and full of layers of flavor. The waiter recommended both dishes… props to him!!!

Seeing a nearby restaurant with such glowing reviews and 4.5 stars made us very excited to go! Sadly, it wasn’t exactly what we had hoped for. I ordered the picabu burger. My boyfriend got the chicken gyro. I really wasn’t a fan of the burger. The bun was whole wheat, which I might have appreciated normally, but it was really flavorless and didn’t help the burger out in any way. I ended up switching with my boyfriend for his gyro, which I thought was much better. He got a tomato basil soup with his meal, which he really didn’t like. It was basically a marinara sauce. The waitress noticed he didn’t like it and took it off of the bill, which was very nice. She said it’s vegan which some people don’t love, as it’s more of a tomato paste than a soup. I got an apple/strawberry crisp, which I was really hoping would save the meal for me. It wasn’t crispy at all! It was basically fruity, sweet oatmeal. My boyfriend pointed out that, if it were breakfast, I may have liked it. It just wasn’t what I wanted for a dessert. The environment is cute. There are some cute watercolor paintings on the wall. I really wanted to like this place but, unfortunately, it fell short for us. I think, if you’re vegan, you may be more of a fan than we were.

I love it! It’s my #2 burger place in Spokane(after Steelhead). The reason why it’s #2 is because their burgers are dry and they only have wheat bun for the burger(not a fan of wheat bread). Everything else is great, the atmosphere, the service, and the pasta.

I originally found out about Picabu Café from a Culinary show that had featured them. I took my Mother and Grandmother(Both not foodies) with me to check them out. While they just accepted it as good food, I was impressed, I ordered the Cilantro Hummus for an Appetizer. I was blown away, everything on the platter was so fresh, crisp and clean! I honestly can’t remember what I ate for my main meal because I enjoyed the appetizer so much. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. Such a nice little neighborhood place to grab lunch. I will defiantly be back.

1st time here. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the cactus burger with the«hamburger goo.» Lots of choices, each with their own appeal.

My favorite restaurant in the area for sure! Love all the sandwiches and entrees… Something for everyone and every mood. Fire pasta is delish but rich. Curry is great when you want a little spicy but not so heavy. Seriously, it’s all good so you can’t go wrong. Wonderful staff, love them all. It’s a cheers kinda place for sure :)

Stopped in a few weeks ago and wasn’t very impressed. I got a burger, but the bun made me kind of sad. It was very thin, and felt like it came from the grocery store. Granted, I work at a bakery, so maybe my expectations are too high, but the bread was a let down for me. My sister got potstickers, and they tasted odd to us. They had a lot of cilantro in them, which was a little strange because the rest of the potsticker filling seemed to have traditional Asian ingredients. The cilantro made them taste somewhat Mexican, but it just didn’t work for us. The service was prompt however, and I enjoyed the setting! Very cute neighborhood vibe.

There’s something about this place. Maybe the location. Maybe the lighting. I just like this place. Coming from San Diego, I needed this feel. Not pretentious nor kitschy. Just good food, good wine, great ambiance. Do yourself a favor and relax.

Neighborly means giving your customers an honest value for their money… Giving them what they want, should & deserve to expect. Today on this blustery Saturday afternoon my boyfriend & me were headed to Republic Pi but knowing how busy they are we opted for the quick n easy«Neighborhood Bistro.» My boyfriend ordered the croissant sand which because he like textures & the buttery flaky layers only found in a croissant. But when his sandwich arrived he was disgruntled… I asked to see the menu… Yup it says Croissant, clearly there was an error. The owner Jane stepped up and asked what was the problem. I pointed to the Croissant sandwich in the menu and said, «this is a bun not a croissant«…Ahh she asked, and what is a croissant to you? I said«the only one we’ve ever know, Roseaurs bakery department even sells«croissants». Not a square bun but a true croissant. CROISSANTORBUN. You be the judge.

Amazing!!! All salad dressing, sauces and desserts are made there. I shared the Fire Pasta with hubby. Very spicy but delicious. Chicken melted in mouth. Definitely get an IPA beer to chase it down. Side salad was great with any dressing. I had Thai Peanut. So tasty. Boys ate off kids meal. Only 3 options. Cheese pizza was the better get. Mac n cheese was from the box. Surprised me as to being so cliché after being that all the other food was so amazingly good and made there. Older son ordered garlic chicken sandwich & fries. Very delicious also. Save room for the peanut butter chocolate pie… melt in your mouth creamy good!!! You must try this restaurant on a day you have sons time. Service was slow but worth it. I’ll be back!

We were in town for an event and my Mom(who used to live here) told us we had to eat at Picabu Bistro. I’m so glad we did! I got the falafel wrap with a salad. Easily the best one I’ve ever had. My husband got a beef meal tastes like good Chinese food! Pics attached. Cutest place, great service and ambiance. Give it a try!

This little gem was delightful! My fiancé and I went out for a lunch date and have never been in before. We both soon decided we could make this a regular visit! The staff is extremely friendly and hospitable, the atmosphere is really casual and doesn’t make you feel out of place one bit. And THEBURGERS… I have NEVER had a burger THIS juicy and satisfying in my entire life. The portions were PERFECT and the fresh brewed iced tea was very refreshing.

Delicious. And the service was cheerful and proud of what they serve — always a good sign :) The Chop Chicken Wrap was great, and filling! Really didn’t need the side salad but that was good too. Worth a little detour from I-90.

Perfect spot to meet your girlfriends for a Saturday lunch. We had such a hard time deciding what to order! Everything on the menu looks & tasted SOGOOD! I went with the cactus burger– perfect spice and chili on the side. We were the only ones here at noon on a Saturday, which was pretty surprising.

Went here for dinner with the family while in town. This place is somewhat hidden. A small restaurant, but definitely lively. Service was friendly, helpful, and attentive. Space is limited, but they were able to accommodate our party of 10. The menu seemed a bit all over the place bc they had a bit of everything… Italian, Asian, Greek, Mexican inspirations. We had calamari and hummus for appetizers. The calamari had a nice crunch and flavor. Hummus was light and refreshing with their pita bread. I also got their Gorgonzola pasta. Flavorful and dense. Husband ordered their cactus burger, but he wasn’t totally satisfied… Overall a pretty decent dining experience.

Just passing through town and hungry for lunch, we Unilocaled nearby places for soup. That’s what sounded good to me on a bleary rainy day. Jackpot! This place is great! I had the Louisiana Black Bean Chili and Chopped Chicken Wrap — both superb. My husband had the Philly Wrap with a salad. His wrap was delicious, too. I’m not sure what kind of sauce was on it but it was great! They had lots of vegan and healthy options, too. Service was quick and friendly. If we lived here, this would be a regular spot for us.
