Specialties

Nectar Tasting Room is home to five Washington wineries. We specialize in wine tasting, wine by the glass, wine flights and bottle sales of nearly 50 great wines. We also offer small bites and appetizers from 4pm — close on Thursday — Saturday and have 3000 square feet of event space for private parties of all kinds.

History

Established in 2011.

Nectar Tasting Room started as a wine blogging experiment with the website drinknectar.com. Owner Josh Wade was looking to establish a reputation in the wine business and generate some awareness around an eventual wine based business. Shortly after starting the wine blog the site was getting 12,000 unique readers each month. Josh turned this attention and exposure into multiple business opportunities including Nectar Tasting Room (2011) and Nectar Wine and Beer in Kendall Yards (2015)

Josh W.

Business Owner

Josh Wade is the creator of NectarWineBlog.com and the owner of Nectar Tasting Room, Nectar Wine and Beer in Kendall Yards, Nectar Media Consulting and creator of Go Social Conference. As a former marketing executive and communication executive at Bank of America, Josh used social media tools like blogging, Facebook, and Twitter to launch a brand and create an awareness and following before opening a brick and mortar location. Josh’s commitment to content built a loyal following of nearly 12,000 unique monthly blog readers and made his wine blog one of the top read wine blogs in the country.

Brand building helped launch Nectar Tasting Room in January of 2011. Opening with zero dollars spent in traditional marketing, the wine tasting room has been wildly successful in the first four years. Nectar Tasting Room was named Spokane’s best business start up in 2011 and best wine bar in the Krem2 Best of Poll 2014.
