To give you an example of their excellent work, please read the review I left for a less desirable mechanic. Having them fix a issue that took years of headache, is a testament to what Martins stands for… great attention to detail and customer satisfaction. They explain things in vernacular that makes sense to the common customer (who is not an auto expert).
I have been in twice now with multiple auto problems, and they have been diagnosed and fixed appropriately. They listened to my descriptions, and identified all the problems I mentioned… even when I told them I could not have all of them fixed at once, but in installments. My significant other has also had work done here, and again, done right at a reasonable expense.

Truly impressed with their honesty and service level. I’m not a car guy and needed to trust someone that I didn’t think was trying to take advantage of me. A car guy in my office recommended Martin’s for their ability and honesty. I took my truck in, let them know of a squeak and told them anything else they found wrong.
They called and told me nothing was wrong besides breaks and got them fixed without issue. Very comforting knowing I can trust them.

These guys are angels! I’d previously been a customer here just for oil changes, but last week my car started making a funny noise just before I was about to head off on a road trip. I’m sure they were busy but someone took a test drive with me first thing in the morning to listen for the problem, and checked around for any red flags. I left, but still felt unsure. I realized the car was running through coolant, and brought it back an hour later. They immediately saw I had a cracked radiator, and I was definitely not about to drive to Oklahoma like that. They were able to get the part and do the work the same day! And, the total bill ended up being significantly LESS than the estimate AND the car was ready at least 2 hours before they told me to expect it. I couldn’t believe I was able to start my road trip the very same day!

I think I’ve paid their lot rent for the amount of times my Jeep Wrangler has been worked on there. These guys are the epitome of the shade tree honest mechanic. Great customer service and quality work. They’re not going to make up fake maintenance for you to purchase, they’ll fix exactly what’s wrong with your vehicle. Outstanding and respectable business in Spokane!

Martin’s has been our go-​to mechanic since moving back to Spokane. As the previous reviewers have noted, they are quick, fair and reliable. We have been pleased thus far and with 2 older cars, I’m sure we’ll be back again! They have been great to work with :)

This is the most honest and respectable business I’ve ever dealt with! I recently moved to Spokane and needed car service almost immediately. They were able to diagnose the issues and fix it for even less than originally quoted for! Andy is great!

And yes, they were.
Had the car towed to Martin’s the afternoon before Thanksgiving. They weren’t sure they’d get to it then, but they managed to work us in (thankfully). They said they spent a couple hours on it, but couldn’t actually find or duplicate a problem. So they left the keys in it and told us to pick it up when we could.
No charge whatsoever.
That’ll earn you a bit of trust…
When the problem on the car got worse and worse, we took it back, since the issue was no longer intermittent. They had it for a couple days, but called us back and told us it was ready. They said it was a weird set of problems (two things actually contributed to our issue), and we got out of there for $ 250. Which was fantastic, since it took them a while, and we were afraid for the car’s life.
Great place, and I’d take a car back there in a heartbeat. And recommend them to all my friends.

Recently moved here and my car was in need of repairs, I asked someone where I could find a good, honest mechanic and they recommended this place. I am happy they did! I am a very satisfied customer and will continue to have my car serviced here!

I stopped in to have a Maintenance required light checked out. They did an inspection swiftly to determine nothing out of the ordinary. Reset the light, sent me on my way– free! I enjoyed the service. Thanks Brad, Eric, and Crystal for taking care of me. CHEERS!

In my opinion, it is very difficult to find a trustworthy mechanic in Spokane. After a bad experience (and high quote of $ 600) elsewhere, I looked to Triple A to recommend an honest mechanic.
I went with Martin’s because it is relatively close to my neighborhood. Their parking lot is fairly small, but there is plenty of street parking in a residential area along side of the shop. When I went in mid-​day, it was really busy and they said they couldn’t get to my Rodeo until the next day. Which I am glad they were up front and honest about, instead of making me wait and wait for a phone call. Also, they brought up that I was welcome to leave my car there during the night – which I did because of my work schedule. The guy at the desk was polite, but to the point.
As a disclaimer, I did provide what I hoped was the correct part, which I obtained online for $ 175.95 including all shipping and handling fees. The next day, the work was done by 9 AM and cost just $ 59.12 total! Part + shipping + diagnostic + labor was STILL $ 364.93 under the estimate at the other shop.
I have only one partial complaint: When I brought my car in, they never offered up an estimate in writing or over the phone. A couple weeks before they had quoted me $ 70 for labor and $ 200-​ish for the part. Also, I never asked for an estimate when I got there – and maybe he remembered my car/​problem from that phone call a couple weeks before? Anyway, the price was so stellar – that’ not getting an estimate is small details.
I’m glad I found a place I can trust in town, and I will go back if my car has any other problems.
