We are a Trendy Handcrafted Urban Marketplace with local handmade fine art, jewelry, woods, sculpture, lotions, soaps, scarves, hand felted marionettes, metal sculpture, ceramics, pillows, greeting cards and much more.

History

Established in 2000.

Started online in 2000 only we became a retail store in Spokane in 2006. The desire was to bring some very good artisans that could not get into local galleries to the attention of our local market. We have been successful in bringing out more than 50 new to market artisans and have showcased over 120 artists in the last 5 years. We are going through a major expansion and look forward to the new business plan.

Business Owner

Cecile Charles ventured into the world of art at a young age. Her favorite mediums are, mixed media, where she works with copper, copper leaf, liquid gold, liquid silver, tin, mixed papers, gouache, acrylics, watercolor and other earth elements. Her work continues to be sent nationally for competition and sale. Cecile imparts her love of art through teaching through Gallery of THUM’s, ‘Art For All’ program, where she offers free art classes to disenfranchised children, and private lessons. The Gallery of THUM has fundraisers to help pay for the materials expended during these classes. Donations of art supplies and funds for these classes are always appreciated. Her works sell as Originals, Giclee prints, and Greeting Cards at both Gallery of THUM and at the stores website at www​.best​spokan​eart​.com or on her personal website www​.cecilecharlesart​.com Her greatest joy is to see her work on your walls but is equally happy if you choose one of the Gallery of THUM artists.
