Specialties
At our dog rescue we take in homeless wiener dogs or Dachshunds from area shelters in the region and owners since 1991. We are an all volunteer run organization and have now placed close to 1200 dogs. Many of those needed much more training than any animal shelter can provide.
After 40+ years in this breed for the director we are able to retrain most dogs that many would just give up on. Once they are trained and ready for a new home, potential adopters are invited to come with their dogs and family to the rescue or Wiener Ranch to meet and greet to see if the rescued dog would be a great match. We screen homes carefully and guarantee every dog we place. This is our hobby as we love our breed of dogs and want to keep them out of area shelters.
We pull dogs or are shipped dogs from all over the Pacific Northwest for many years as folks know we can almost work miracles with the most abused wiener dogs who are biting. We always love a tough dog here at this dog rescue although we get in sweetie pies as well. Many members of the Dachshund Club of Spokane bring their dogs and help us socialize all the rescues so we make sure they are well trained before placement.
Find us on Facebook for daily photos and updates of the rescued dogs’ progress and when they are placed for their test drives to make sure they work in their new homes.
Thanks to over 1000+ people who have adopted from us since 1991 and many have come back more than once to find their new family member.
History
Established in 1991.
We love our breed and pull homeless wiener dogs from regional shelters as well as take them from owners who can;t keep them any longer. We retrain them to be canine good citizens and rehome them with a guarantee and take them back at any time. We also operate the Dachshund Club of Spokane and provide fun events all year long unless the weather is not helping. See us on Facebook as well for daily updates!

«They are our main clinic for spaying and neutering all our rescued dogs before placement for a while now. They are kind, professional and courteous.»
