Cruisers Diner is a quick serve restaurant located in River Park Square. We feature a full breakfast menu, classic diner entrees and wonderful burgers. Gluten Free buns and pasta, vegetarian options are available and we are allergy friendly.

History

Established in 2009.

In 2009, Dale and Lynn Fruin purchased the business and changed it to Cruisers Burgers & More. Over the years, we have added a complete breakfast menu, Healthier Choice menu featuring chicken, salmon and salads and now offer the Home-​Style Menu with fried chicken, fish & chips and more.

With the addition of all the menu items, Burgers & More is no longer reflective of our business so we changed to Cruisers Diner & Catering.

For Catering, we offer breakfast, lunches and dinners along with a full menu of small-​bites for receptions and events.

Business Owner

Dale Fruin has been in the restaurant business most of his life. He has worked along side some of Spokane’s best Chefs and his approach to food is unique but very familiar. All the sauces and dressings, are made in house along with many of the menu items.

The only great thing about this place was how friendly the staff was. My daughter didnt like her cheesburger and just ate all the fries. I had the captains plate and it was ok not much flavor except for grease.

Paid $ 8 for a salad that was all of 8 bites… TINY portion for what I paid. The guy that took my order and grabbed my food was polite but I tried politely questioning «that’s an $ 8 salad?» To the female standing there and instead of answering me she turned around and walked in the back. Very poor customer service.

Overpriced for what you get. $ 9 for a double cheeseburger, large fry and a drink. Sounds reasonable, no? Well the burger is tiny, each patty must be about 1.5oz of meat or LESS; quite pathetic. Quality seems OK.
Its like In-​N-​Out Burgers, just with smaller burgers at double the price.
A burger here is more like a snack, an expensive snack. Go to Red Robin across the street and get 3x the food for the same price.

I wanted so badly to like my mushroom swiss burger. All the flavors were there and in balance. The problem was the mushrooms and onions were grilled just long enough to make them sweat all over the burger. By the time I got it to the table the bun was completely soaked. The taste was there but it was nearly impossible to eat. The curly fries were inedible. They had the flavor rancid oil.

I’ve had lunch here three or four times over the past three or four years. The last time was earlier this year. I’m just not impressed. I’ve had the BBQ burger each time I’ve eaten there.
In my experience, the patty has been overcooked and as a result, dry and mealy. The bacon on the burger has been chewy — as opposed to being either crispy or tender (either of which would be preferable).
The shoestring fries are very limp and very greasy.
Each time I’ve eaten at Cruisers in the past, it was on the rare occasion that I had a craving for a good burger and some fries. After my last visit, I’ve come to realize that I’ll just be disappointed.
