American Van Service was started in 1957 as a a full service moving and storage Spokane company
Today we are the oldest family owned & operated full service movers and storage Spokane company in the Inland Northwest.
In 1961, Robert W Rohner bought out his business partner and incorporated the company as American Van Service Inc. in Washington State.
By the mid 1960s, American Van Service obtained its interstate hauling rights and began transporting and storage Spokane household goods across the United States.
In 1969, Robert Rohner’s daughter, Gloria Farrow, began working for the company. Over the years, she learned and honed the honest and upfront business practices that are still used today.

Gloria’s son, Jason Farrow, began working for the company in 1986 and chose to commit fully to the company in 1993 after graduating college from Washington State University.

Gloria’s son, Jason Farrow, began working for the company in 1986 and chose to commit fully to the company in 1993 after graduating college from Washington State University.
In 1992, Gloria Farrow became president and owner of American Van Service and began to plan for the future of the American Van Service and Storage Spokane, preparing it for the next chapter in the moving industry.
In 1998, Gloria and Jason moved American Van Service from the Spokane Valley to west from downtown Spokane, giving them an ideal I-90 frontage location and room to expand into the future.
