Brewology – Speonk

Was there last night, 6/​09, food was OK, however uninspired. The staff were a munch of sad sacks, never saw a smile the entire time we were there except for the runner, Sammy. Felt unwelcome, felt almost as if we were imposing on them.

Dined there on ⁶⁄₄ because we noticed the menu was interesting. One of the small plates, corn fritter stuffed with goat cheese was delicious… crunchy yet creamy and bursting with flavor. The gratis soft pretzels with the mustard dip are addictive. The blue fin meatballs, which is tartar style, was on the bland side and skippable for $ 14. The Br burger juicy, great flavor with the garlic aioli and it was enhanced with the crispy duck bacon. The room can get very noisy. The décor is nice with high ceilings but could use some help with the acoustics. A little child’s screeches from across the room were ear piercing! Still, we will return to try the beer flights.

Yes. Still enjoying Brewology! The beers on tap are ever-​changing. I have had a chance to try some of the food and everything I have had is great. Maybe the one thing I would hope for is some live music acts to be scheduled for Friday nights… ;) Best of luck.

Came here on Saturday and had Cindy as our waitress, she was amazing !! Not only was she bubbly and sweet but she also gave great recommendations! My husband had the grapefruit beer which tasted great just like his wild goat pizza. I had the Mac and cheese and my brother ate the cheese brewben and man were they killer! We licked the plates clean! For dessert me and my husband had the brownie skillet and it was perfect way to end the night. We all agreed we would come again just for the service !!

FYI– I dined their with a few other people. The same review as mine was posted on google, with the other person i was there with.
Your reply back to my review just shows that the customer service is just as horrible as the food.

Good and teas were great. Place clean and bright. Staff extremely efficient and attentive, yet aloof. Well worth it.

Went to Brewology tonight and loved it. Great customer service, and the bison burger, or the Brewology Burger, was excellent! We will definitely be visiting again. The Westhampton area desperately needed a place like this. Also the fresh pretzels with the mustard dipping sauce that are put on the table are enough to make a meal if you throw a few good drafts in.

Brewology is visually appealing and the staff is very friendly. The food is always a home run! I highly recommend Brewology for any meal of the day.

Trendy, excellent beer and whiskey selections and decent food. Fun atmosphere as well. Only drawbacks are limited menu and pricey food.

So this is my 3^rd time here. Its friday and 10 pm and its pretty packed which is good. Heck thats great. I hope it stays this way. The waitresses and staff are very nice and they now have an amazing pumpkin/​autumn mixed drink specials. Beware! They ARE strong and you’ll def get your money’s worth!

Sorry I waited as long as I did to check this place out. Its been on my list of ‘to dos’ for awhile now. So we headed down to their Speonk location this past weekend. From the outside it looks like every other shop in this strip. The interior is nice and though I read many complaints about the acoustics, we didn’t seem to be bothered by it.
The bar seems to be on point. Excellent drink menu. Great beer selections. I tried two of their specialty drinks (summer something and strawberry mojito), both were top notch. Would definitely get both again. The soft pretzel instead of bread to start was a nice way to get the meal rolling. Staff and service overall were excellent. Very friendly and offered help when I couldn’t make up my mind.
We skipped apps which ended up being fine because I drank enough to void my hunger. For dinner I tried the turkey burger. Added American and bacon. Also had my fries changed to Poutine style. Everything was great. My wife ordered their version of a Reuben. I have to say, this was the best Reuben I’ve ever had. I don’t even like Reuben’s, but I will definitely be eating one on my next trip over. They slice the meat thinner then I have ever seen. And it was cooked perfectly. My only critique was that it could’ve used alittle more sauerkraut. Though don’t let that stop you. its really an awesome sandwich!

This place is a surprisingly amazing find thanks to Unilocal.We had a table for 7 and told the server to keep a nice steady pace but not rush and she did just that. After 2 ½hrs we were all so stuffed with great food we had to call it quits. I am not a local here it if I were we would make this place a monthly spot for sure. Everything was perfect and the range of beers was awesome! Looking forward to coming back next year!

Ok, so I’ve heard many good things about this place and decided to try it out while I was in the area. I’m so glad I did! I will say, if you haven’t been here before, be on the lookout for where it is since it blends in with the strip mall behind it, and the sign isn’t in your face.
The inside is nice and warmly lit, decorated with a little bit of a rustic feel. I loved the chalkboard of the beers that were on tap. It was layed out like a Periodic Table (nerd alert!).
The beer menu is pretty big, i think there were 24 or so beers on tap which rotate out often. The dinner menu wasn’t huge but there were plenty of things to pick from so I didn’t have a problem there. Before we ordered, freshly soft baked pretzels were brought out to the table and was served with this spiceyyy but tasty mustard for dipping. For drinks I ordered a flight of 4 (couldn’t make up my mind) beers which was $ 11, a little on the steep side from what I’m used to. but glasses were little beakers! That made it worth it! For dinner I ordered their signature Brewology burger which is a bison burger stuffed with cheese and served with LTO and a pickle. De-​freakin-​licious!
The staff was helpful with the menu, very nice, and patient with us since it was our first time here. Overall, I had a wonderful experince and will be back for sure!

What a neat spot. Don’t be fooled by the seemingly strip mall appearance of the exterior. It’s not in a strip mall, but next to one and the siding is very similar to that of the strip mall. But once you get inside, you’re in for a surprise. The décor is so hipster, I could have been in Brooklyn. Random painting of Einstein sticking out his tongue. A chalkboard in the bathroom to write a message while you’re on the can. Draft beer served in beakers. And a chalkboard near the bar with all the draft options in periodic table of elements format. Now I see where the name comes from.
24 taps, all of which are craft. Plus they offer flights for $ 11. Pick 4, 6 oz. drafts of your choice.
Two of us went with the Brewology burger (ground bison meat, stuffed with cheddar blue cheese, crispy celery curls, buffalo aioli, LTO (that’s lettuce, tomato and onion), pickle and fries). The hand cut fries were super fresh, but the only reason I’m at 4 stars is because the burger was a little dry after I was told it would come out medium-​well, yet still pink. That was not the case, but I figured it would be a little overdone in an effort to melt that cheese in the middle. Nevertheless appropriately priced at $ 18.
The strawberry fields (local field greens, goat cheese, fresh strawberries, pistachios, strawberry lemon balsamic) was a steal for $ 10. Just a heads up: the dressing has kind of a yogurt-​y texture to it, but I thought it worked well.
The biscuits and gravy (lobster, sauce Americane, citrus butter) for $ 22 looked filling and tasted quite good to me.

–They serve French press coffee, which really excites me.

AWESOME place. My new fave restaurant. Incredible food. Fresh, beautifully plated & excellent quality.
I love the décor. Beakers, graduated cylinders & chemistry sets for the flights. Love all the throw pillows. So cute. Great place.

My friends and I stopped in to Brewology not really knowing what to expect except off a co-​workers recommendation. It ended up being a great tip and if I lived closer or even on LI, I would make this a constant destination.
The overall design of the pub is really cool, but you wouldn’t even realize any of this from driving by since it sits on the outskirts of a strip mall. When you walk in, the main focus is the bar that features a significant amount of beers on draft (24 actually). Once you make your order, they serve the majority of them in science beakers, which is kinda cool I guess? Another cool thing is in the bathrooms, the entire wall is a chalk board, so you can go ahead and tag it like a wild man.
The food. I went for the Basic Burger ($ 13), which was just lettuce, onion, tomato, and cheese. It was a good size, cooked exactly how I wanted it, and was juicy. It definitely didn’t blow my socks off, but it also filled me up as I was starving when I walked in.
I would definitely mention this place to people trying to grab some craft beers with the extent of their list and if I lived within 20 minutes, I would be back often.

Lia Fallon has done it again — this place is gorgeous and mannnnnn has it already developed quite a following just in its first week!!!
I’m sipping on a fantastic Southside with her Fig-​a-​licious salad where the smokiness of the figs really defines and cuts through the «Candies» part of the fig… creative and excellent. Hats off!
