Saw this pizza joint & had to try it. Well, it was delicious. Pizza was to die for & the thick crust was very yummy. They also have a good beer selection. They do have some good happy hour deals. I would definitely return to pizza joint.

Awesome pizza. The combinations on the menu give you a lot of options to choose from. All of them sound delicious. Had the blind Hawaiian and it was excellent. The crust is perfection and the way the dough is twisted it is like getting an extra bread stick with every slice. Service was very friendly and attentive. Good selection of draft beers as well. I can’t wait to go back and try something different.

Cute place for pizza in Reno(technically Sparks)! It’s a five minute walk from the Nugget hotel. Part bar, part restaurant — there are a few tables in the bar area, which is where we sat. We ordered a medium pizza which we proceeded to devour. The twisted crust on the is unique and tasty, although it could have been a bit more seasoned. Some garlic salt would have done the trick! Supposedly they have honey on the tables(we didn’t see any) for dipping the bread, which could have been interesting. Next time!

Came here being only a block or so away from the nugget. We originally gonna go to the buffet but it was so busy. Ended up Unilocaling local places and this one popped up. The pizza is definitely good. I love how they make the crust and toppings seem fresh. My only concern was the wait. I waited about half an hour. The whole time though the people were very friendly and gave us no trouble at all. Very accommodating

Don’t bother going. I given them several chances and I will never go back. Final straw was getting a pizza with very little cheese and few toppings. The bottom was burned also. Don’t waste your money!

Before this particular location I went to another Blind onion and was a little underwhelmed. Then, out of the blue I decided to try this location and I’m so happy I did! I ordered a combo pizza that was cooked perfectly and loaded with fresh-everything… I single handed lay finished a whole medium pizza which I’m not super proud of calorie-wise but it was definitely worth it. The idea of dipping the pizza crust in honey is the next best thing to sliced bread, and their ranch dip makes everything overly delicious. If I’m ever headed to sparks with a hungry stomach you can bet I’ll be stopping here.

Was looking for a pizza place in walking distance of The Nugget. Looked on Unilocal and decided to give this place a try. Very glad I did. The braided crust is amazing and the staff is friendly. I will be going back on my next Reno trip! Wish they had one in the Bay Area. I recommend checking this place out when you’re in Sparks.

We went down to watch the car cruise for Hot August Nights, so of course they were busy. For special events they have a patio area and the owner was great and accommodated us by adjusting some tables and grabbing more chairs. To say his staff was great would be an understatement. They were attentive and on point, especially for how busy they were. We ordered the Carnivore pizza and the garlic cheesy bread. The pizza was good with a really nice crispy thin crust. The garlic bread was totally amazing. Roasted garlic spread from edge to edge, covered generously with mozzarella and melted to perfection. Topped with basil and served with marinara sauce. Yummy crispy edges gooey melted cheese YUM

I’ve been to this location many times. While the service is always exceptional, I do feel this particular location seems to be the dirtiest of all the Blind Onions and Wild Garlic. But«dirty» isn’t like wretchedly filthy. The tables and floors just seem sticky, which may be a result of the delicious honey sitting on all the tables. I know this location gets really busy as it sits right on Victorian, which may be another reason why it’s dirty, the staff is so busy making delicious pizza and catering to the patrons that it’s hard to keep it spic and span. I will continue to come here whenever I’m in this part of town. The pizza always comes out piping hot and I have to remind myself, otherwise I burn my mouth. These guys are prompt on the delivery of your order so it’s not sitting there cooling off and you can enjoy it as soon as it’s the perfect temperature for you to eat.

I came here with my boyfriend on Memoria Day right when the restaurant opened and was greeted warmly by the server. The restaurant was small and cozy, and decorated from entrance to the bathrooms with hand drawn pictures of happy onions from previous customers. Right when we sat down I noticed the huge tub of honey at each table and was really curious what the deal with them was. Reading other Unilocal reviews I learned they were for pizza crust dipping! I initially thought the idea was a bit odd, but I definitely regretted it the moment I tried it. We ordered the Garlic Chips and the Generals 10″ pizza. We definitely didn’t expect our appetizer of garlic chips + ranch dressing to come as big as it did. The size of the garlic chips were absolutely perfect for sharing! Our pizza complimented the delicious appetizer. The crust was the best I’ve ever had from any pizza place before and paired perfectly with the honey! We finished the pizza but had to take our appetizer to go. The waitress didn’t hesitate to give us a to go box, which conveniently came lined with paper on the inside to prevent oil drippage through the box. There was also a family who came in shortly after us who dined outside on the patio. I watched the waitress walk outside to the family with a bowl of water in hand and laid it on the floor next to the family for their two dogs. I also observed a motorcycle club come in inquiring about a poster they wanted to post in the restaurant which advertised one of their events. The waitress welcomed the club members to post their poster on the bulletin board near the restrooms. With such fast and amazing customer service and food, I definitely recommend The Blind Onion for all to try!

St Patrick’s night out to eat at the Blind onion on Victorian Avenue, and it was a fiasco with the service and the attitude. The waitress forgot our pizza and poor customer service has left me on a place that I will never bring my business here again.

Five stars because I’ve loved this place in the past and only one star for the service tonight. The pizza here is great, lots of flavor and originality. It’s a great place to grab a beer and a slice. However, if you say you are open until 10PM, then you DONOT stop taking new orders before 9PM; that’s a big one. I worked at a pizza place all through high school and part of college, and we always took orders up until closing time. Regardless if we were tired, if it’s the middle of the week, a holiday or whatever the excuse, we always made pizza for our fans. That was horrible customer service and that stands out more than the pizza. Who stops taking money almost two hours before you close???

Let’s be honest: I was very hungover and in need of pizza and a pizza place that served alcohol. All of the pizza places that I found in Reno were«beer & wine only» which did not satisfy my need for a bloody Mary. We took the short drive over, had a three bloody Mary’s total on the bill, two side salads, and the large carnivore pizza. We took a lot home for leftovers. The bartender made the SPICIESTBLOODY I’ve ever had — and I like it spicy! The pizza could have been crisper. Once we ate the leftovers we crisped it up in the oven and then wouldn’t stop eating. The bad news: after tip we spent $ 70+ bucks.

OHWWWWHHHYYYYY did I wait til after the meal to read the reviews and tips?! I missed out on dipping my crust in honey. However, dipping it in pizza sauce was pretty darn good too. Ok ok let’s go back to the beginning. We have been on the search for good pizza since moving to Reno– we were so spoiled by the Pizzeria in Winnemucca that we’ve kind of become pizza snobs. So I saw the great rating on the Blind Onion and decided to give it a try. Cute place, perfect casual and fun feel, nice bar. The menu had some delicious sounding stuff. We went with pesto chips and the General’s pizza– basically a supreme. We wondered at the huge containers of honey on the tables but then promptly forgot about that. The pesto chips were seriously rad. Good, crisp crust with a thick layer of delicious garlicky pesto and lots of nice melted cheese. The pizza was really good as well. They don’t skimp on the toppings. I loved all the bell peppers. The crust is a thicker style and it is really delicious. They cook it crisp on the bottom and the edge is thick and braided and so good. The sauce is good though maybe a tad on the thin side for my preferences. Once I read the tips and learned about dipping the crust in the honey it was too late for me– I was stuffed– but the kids did it and raved over it. Next time!(And there WILLBE a next time)

Do not go in here on a Sunday night! The female employee made it known to everyone(several times) that she is the only one working(besides the cook) every Sunday. My husband and I were on a date(not something that happens often with children). We were going to the movies and thought we’d call in our order to save some time. I heard my husband confirm the order 3 times on the phone prior to hanging up. When we got there, the order was wrong and she blamed my husband. She stated it would be another 30 minutes before our order was correct. While my husband was dealing with a crabby employee, I bussed our table so we could have a clean place to eat. All the tables and chairs were sticky and full of glasses and pizza remnants. I had to search for a rag to wipe down the table table as she was too busy to acknowledge me when I asked. I ended up in the kitchen to find one and she never noticed. We got our two pizzas 45 minutes later. I asked if the one that had been made correct had been sitting while the other one had been made; she assured me it had not. LIAR!!! It was luke warm at best. While we were eating she left the bar to attempt to bus the tables. She dragged the trash can around and threw away the trash. Prior to finishing, more customers came in. She took their order and made their drinks. By the way, she never washed her hands. The only thing that saved this particular Blind Onion from getting less than a 1 star, their pizza is really good. I think I’ll ignore convenience and continue to go to the Blind Onion on Neil Road. I have never had bad service there and the pizza tastes just as good and is always hot!

Blind Onion is always a great place to visit. This pizza place has never disappointed me. Ordering is simple, wait time is addquate, and the food is great! My recommendation would be to order a Super Slice. A Super Slice is two HUGE slices of pizza. Have I mentioned that the crust on this pizza is the best you will find in all of Reno/Sparks? Dip your braided crust in some honey for a dessert finish to a great pizza meal. My favorite types of pizza are the Blind Hawaiian and the Vegetarian; but I have yet to try one that I didn’t like. Blind Onion in Victorian is the best Blind Onion in the area with the friendliest service and best food.

This would be closer to 3.5 stars. We got a small pizza and cheesy garlic bread for pick up. Ordering was easy, price wasn’t bad and it was ready when they said it would be. The bread had a great garlic taste, but wasn’t something to write home about. It was good, but not great. Here’s the thing with the pizza, I get why people rave about it. It is good, but it’s just not for me. It’s too sweet. The red sauce specifically just has too much sweetness for me. I love the thick crust, but it is not delicious dipped in ranch. What pizza dough doesn’t go good in ranch? I know, right. But this dough. It does not. That’s why they have honey at the tables, because it is delicious on the crust. Like I said, I get what they’re doing, and it works — just not my first choice.
