Sierra Invisible Shield

I think this is my 5^th or 6^th vehicle I have had a clear bra installed by SIS, always fabulous work and sincerely friendly customer service. I cannot believe the latest install on my 16 Lexus RX (lot of angles and cuts). The work was quite frankly UNBELIEVABLE!!! If you love your vehicle don’t look anyplace else, great price, nice people and fabulous work.

The crew installed front bumper and headlight film on my new 2015 GMC Sierra pickup 11/​25/​2015. Nice Job! Can’t tell it’s there. Will stop rock chips and lens fading.

I scuffed up the coating on one of my mirrors and brought the car back to have the coating replaced. They did it while I waited, charged me nothing, and gave me another of their «trade mark» cookies. Hard to beat this service.

I have done 3 cars with Sierra Invisible Shield. New location on Coney Island Drive is much nicer than the last. Family shop, you can tell they care about doing the job right. After 3 years, the plastic was looking rough on my 2012 Black vehicle. Dealt with Dex, the owner and his wife made the appointment. Negotiated a fair replacement price on having it redone. Claims to have self healing plastic and recommended fast attention to bug spots and bird droppings to avoid it etching into the plastic. I feel more prepared to maintain it. We will see how this wears this time. Highly recommend, you can also count on them to stand behind the work.

I’ve used Sierra Invisible Shield for several exotic cars; Ferrari’s, McLarens and Porsches. Their work is top notch, their price is excellent and their work is perfect every time. I have never had a problem and I’m a very picky person. The products they use are completely clear and have never yellowed. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I came here to Unilocal,as well as to other sites, to check on businesses in the area that install protective «clear bra» to vehicles, Sierra Invisible Shield stood out well above the others. I spent two weeks trying to figure out where to take my brand new 370z to get a paint protector installed. I checked with every manufacturer and their recommendations for an installer. No matter how I approached it, Dex and Sierra Invisible Shield came up time after time. I figure when a company is referred that much there must be something to it so I decided to check them out.
I made my appointment and arrived. Dex wanted to make sure my car got off to a clean start so he asked Yuri of Reno Auto Detail if he could prep my car, more about that later. Dex showed me the film they would be using and why. SunTek is one of the major players in the protective film industry. It has a clear coat and is a self-​repairing film. It is the film that I had chosen for my car. I had work to do while I waited so I hung out in the reception area, full of very cool old and new sports cars, and plenty of space to work.
It took exactly the length of time that Dex said it would. Tom and Eric were the installers and Tom showed me the finished product on my car. The first thing I noticed was that my car looked like it just rolled off the factory line or even better. Yuri had done more than just a quick clean or prep. It was spotless and shiny, if that was just a prep job, I will be back soon to have Yuri show me what a full detail of his looks like.
As I got closer to the car I had to turn around and ask Tom where the invisible shield was. I thought they had run into problems or something and couldn’t install it. He took me over to the driver’s side and when I leaned over and looked closer I could see the line, but just barely. Now that I knew what to look for I started going over the install with a fine toothed comb. It was flawless, with absolutely no defects. It fit like a glove. There were no seams that I could detect. They even put some extra pieces on the rear fenders where they flare out a bit. The value that they put in far exceeded the cost to me.

Dex and Dexter really know how to take care of customers. I have sent many customers in to use them and have had nothing but praise come back. I have had 1 car detailed here and WOW!!! Does not even begin to tell you how it looked. I then had a friend purchase a brand new truck from a local dealer who tried to sell him a clear bra when I asked where the work would be done they did not say Sierra Invisible Shield, after I got angry about they agreed to take it to them and WOW again they hit it out of the park and did an outstanding job. Don’t be fooled the cheapest job is not always the best job, a car is a big investment taking care of it should not be taken lightly. These guys get my vote.

I brought my car to Sierra Invisible Shield after hearing good things from several people in my car club. I had film installed on my headlights and I couldn’t be happier. I got a great deal and the service was fast and friendly. The place is a little hard to find but it’s not too bad.

In late 2007, I purchased a new 2008 VW GTI and knew I wanted to protect it’s front end with a clear bra. I had sporty cars in the past and no matter how aerodynamic they were, they always picked up rock chips and scratches. I was never a vinyl/​leather bra guy so the only option was accept it and use touch up paint. Not this time.
My friend’s Honda Civic had a clear bra on and her dealer recommended Sierra Invisible Shield. Before calling SIS, I called 2 other PFP (paint film protector) vendors for quotes. Then I called SIS up and had a nice chat with the owner, Dexter Baker — who happens to be bonafide car enthusiast. Not only was Dexter personable, he also gave me a quote that was highly competitive and didn’t nickle and dime me for extras like the other vendors. The work was immaculate and after 3.5 years, the GTI’s front end is pristine like the day I picked it up at the VW dealer. It was probably the 1^st or 2^nd best aftermarket item I spent my money on.
I recently purchased a new Mazda and sent it to SIS the first week I took delivery. Dexter’s son, Dex is now running the business along with his brother Tom. Again, they quoted me a great price and whatever material they had leftover from the front end cut, they covered for certain areas of the car. This included: A, B, and C-​pillars, door handle cups, rear bumper guard, hatch bottom edge, etc. With other vendors, I guaranty they would have upcharge you for those items. They’ve wrapped a good amount of exotics in the area including ZR1s, GT-​Rs, 430 Scuderias, 458 Italia, Aston Martin, Porsche Turbos, etc. but I appreciate that they keep the price reasonable for the rest of us folks with regular cars as well.
They’ve now moved to a new location, a huge warehouse facility in Sparks by the train tracks. The facility contains their business as well as a European car repair shop. While their old space was tight, the new one is just huge and contains exotics to rarities such as Alfas, MGs, and Ferraris. If you’re a fan of cars, you’ll more than likely see some contemporary exotics or classic European cars being worked on there.
SIS is one of those dealers that impresses you so much with the product and service that you just want to go out an buy more cars just so you can have it serviced by them. Can’t recommend them enough!

I recently had a clear bra applied to my newly repainted car at Sierra Inv. Shield. Dexter, one of the owners, was kind enough to meet me on a Sunday afternoon to drop off my car.
They detailed it on Monday for a small fee and then installed the clear bra on Tuesday. When I arrived Tuesday night to pick up my car I was extremely impressed. The transition between paint and clear bra is seamless — a perfect transition.
They did an extremely thorough install for a great price. I will def. head back in there when I clear bra my other vehicles.
The owner and tech’s are great — answered tons of questions, came in on a Sunday to let me drop it off and did outstanding work on my car.
