He is very dishonest! I came here after my dentist retired since it was close and convenient. I have had two cavities in my life after 40 years of care. Only to find out that I have 8??? I left immediately to schedule an appointment with another dentist. Turns out I have ONE«watch» and no real cavities. I should have checked the Unilocal reviews instead of choosing convenience. This is very disappointing and sad that people in this field can take advantage of others like this.

This dentist is dishonest. I trusted him at a young age only to find out years later that I didn’t have any need for fillings …18 «cavities» later. I felt taken advantage of and hurt. The front desk covers his lies, and refused to give me my medical records, and they were very reluctant to hand over old X-rays. After finally obtaining them I am so disappointed that someone in his profession could take advantage of people like that. Not only is he dishonest, but he brushes off concerns that he could have caused an infection, even though all I wanted was an appointment to make sure, and he talks down to his patients. Please, do not go here.

Dr. Mays might be one of the last honest dentist in the area… He is amazing, caring, and I have never had an unpleasent or painful visit; my family, friends, and I are patients for years. Even when there are other places I could go, I decide not to; I rather do it right the first time than have Dr. Mays fix someone elses mistakes. I am very pleased and my children too; 10, 12, and 14 years old. Two thumps up, and thank you for my great smile :)

Dr. Mays has been my dentist for over 20 years. Once, years ago, I called him to express a concern about an employee. One time. Twenty years. That’s a pretty good run as far as I am concerned. If I had any complaint it would be a delay in getting up on technology(I want an email not a post card reminder). Lastly, and this is a shout to all dentists everywhere, when you’re cleaning teeth and you use that utensil to squirt water in my mouth it is cruel and unusual punishment to have that water colder than ambient air. It is jarring and painful to get blasted with the cold water. I have mentioned this and have been told that in-line heaters are made for these devices which now makes the whole thing deliberate. It is as if all dentists everywhere are saying to us, «Yes, we have a solution to your suffering and it is within our power to execute this solution but we prefer to watch you suffer.»

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Mays for 29 years. I recently was laid off from my job of 28 years and lost my health and dental insurance. My husband is a100% disabled Vietnam Veteran, and eligible to receive free dental care from the VA hospital. We wanted to continue getting cleanings and some dental care from Dr. Mays for which we would pay cash. My husband had a dental appointment with Dr. Mays today and was reprimanded by Dr. Mays for getting some of his dental care free through the VA. He was basically told if he wasn’t going to give all his dental care to Dr. Mays, he didn’t want to see him in his office. This encounter was done in the dentist chair within hearing distance of any patients and all staff in the office making my husband feel very humiliated. Dr. Mays was very angry, with veins popping out of his neck during this exchange and my husband felt Dr. Mays was angry enough he might hit my husband. We are appalled that our dentist of 29 years would be so disrespectful of his long term patients. We have always paid our bills up front and on time for any dental work. We now realize why Dr. Mays has never been able to keep another dentist in his office, it is because he is rude, disrespectful and only cares about how much money he can make off you and your insurance company.
