I think this place has great sandwiches, but is not super cheap. It’s a nice local chain. This store has great customer service. The young guy behind the counter had seen me once, remembered me and was friendly carrying on a conversation with me easily. You can order by FAX or email which is very convenient. Location is at the corner of two busy streets, bit it’s still fairly easy to get in for parking. Just remember that Port of Subs is only one half of the building, otherwise you’ll waste(possible valuable timed lunch) seconds going into the wrong doors and then backing out. Port of Subs recently replaced their sandwich card(I think twelve sandwiches for a free any size, then it changed to a free small sandwich) to an internet based card requiring I think $ 100 in purchases for a free sandwich. The card is bigger and you’re supposed to get a free sandwich on your birthday, but it’s hard to implement that. There are a wide variety of condiments and toppings, well thought out combinations of meats, veggie sandwiches and cheeses, hot sandwiches that are grilled and include breakfast sandwiches and a slightly upscale, clean vibe at this store and others. It starts from the logo and stays good from there. It’s not as good of a value as Subway(better, but not enough better to justify the price), but it’s nice to get a break and a better sandwich even if the value suffers a little. I’ve had good results at this particular Port of Subs as the stuff was really good.

I eat at this port of subs quite often due to the lack of «non» fast food in the area, and its ok. I have lived in Reno for about 6 years now and have ate at quite a few«Ports» I Have a main gripe about ALL the port of subs in the Reno area… They need to start putting more meat in their sandwiches or they need to lower the prices! And the loading my order down with lettuce is not fooling me, If I wanted a salad I would order one! The store on Rock also just changed the size of the combo meal drinks to the next smaller size… with out lowering the combo price? the combo cost $ 2.50+ the sando, you will be lucky to get out of there for under $ 10! not cool with how many people are broke right now! Port of subs also does not have ANY kind of proper customer feedback area on the main website. All I got when I «signed the guest book» was put on a spam mailing list!!! wtf? port of subs: you better start picking up the pace… I know that when the new deli opens down the street from my work i will no longer be a port of subs customer.
