Fairfield Inn & Suites Reno Sparks

— AC wasn’t cool enough (though receptionist offered to change the room when I told him about the AC)
— Lost my digital camera in hotel room and no-​one helped me recover it.

I stayed one night at the Reno-​Sparks Fairfield Inn and like always it was a great experience. I checked in late but the front desk was expecting me with the type of room I had reserved and accommodated my special request. The complimentary breakfast was a bonus the next morning and my mom and I really enjoyed our stay. Will definitely be staying at this Fairfield when I’m in Reno again.

We have stayed at this hotel during the winter time, better late than never right? Anyways, it was our first time checking-​in at this hotel and it was a superb experience. The staff are very friendly, especially the old lady at breakfast time, she is really sweet and even baked cookies for my children to take home when we checked out. The rooms are typical Fairfield type, very basic but it’s all you need for a night’s rest after playing in the snow.
It was an excellent stay, and we are for sure coming back this winter.

After driving 2 hours from Sacramento and getting into the room, I find it’s NOT the ADA requested room that I specifically requested when I made the reservations through the Mariott toll free number. Not happy to say the least. #makeitright

Didn’t want to stay in one of those casinos so we picked this hotel. Great location, right off highway 80. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean but the whole hotel is outdated needs a facelift and remodel of the rooms.

The room was smaller than the rooms at other Marriotts I’ve stayed at, but believe it or not, I found that a great advantage rather than a liability, since I was only there for a couple of days and didn’t have a lot of stuff. What I did have, there was plenty of drawer space for, and an adequate closet to store my small suitcase out of the way. It was actually wonderfully cozy, and nice not to have to walk so far and around a corner to get to the bathroom when I needed it. Plus you could watch TV from anywhere in the room, either the bed or the easy chair. The room was excellently clean, and my favorite feature was the little plastic panel right above the heater which directed the air into the room instead of at the curtains… a necessity since it was darned COLD during my stay, and necessary to close the curtains since the ground-​floor room I had looked right out onto the sidewalk where people could walk by and easily look in if they chose. I also love their channel selection, and the wifi never blinked out on me once during my time there… I could stream my Netflix just fine with the basic access.
I didn’t try the breakfast, so can’t comment on that part of it.
My one ding on this place, and the only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5, is the lack of available power outlets next to the bed. If they replaced their bedside lamps with the kind that included a plug in the base, as I’ve seen at other hotels including Marriott branches, this would be an absolutely perfect place to stay. Would I return? Definitely, for either a weekend or a business trip!

Our stay here was pretty good! The staff here was stellar and super sweet! I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a hotel where everyone was just so happy and easily approachable like this hotel!
Our room was clean upon arrival. I didnt see anything displeasing. I really liked that the room didn’t come with cheap generic shampoo, instead it was pantene! Awesome! And if you know me, you know I’ll comment on the water pressure of the shower. THUMBS UP! I really liked that the room had a fridge to keep our food/​drinks in. The TV could have been bigger though, but if you’re on vacation it shouldn’t matter cause you should be OUT AND ABOUT! One thing was that the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night so that was a little bummer. But you really can’t beat free breakfast in the mornings though!
Overall, I would definitely stay here again!

Very sweet staff and decent rooms for the price. They were very accommodating with early check in and late check out. Only down side is that the walls are extremely thin so you can hear all of your neighbor’s business.

Our experience in the beginning was not as good as expected but the reason this hotel is getting 4 stars is the fact of the staff and management to make everything right. They went out of their way to make our night Perfect and I would like to give big thanks to the assistant manager Rebecca Mixon and Arin for all their help. Will be coming back.

Rudest clerk ever! They had me on hold for 10 minutes then gave me a exorbitant amount of money to pay for a room for two adults $ 138/​night. I told him that was too much. We have been paying on average of $ 80 a night for a hotel on our long trip. The clerk told me if I wanted to pay $ 80 for a room that I can go stay at motel 8. So I called the La Quinta Inn, this is where we normally go. We got a better room for $ 69 tonight. Never calling this place again. They don’t deserve one star, Unilocal required something there to post.

Clean hotel with friendly staff and quiet rooms. Convenient location.
However, the wifi is useless which is very discouraging for a business traveler. I had to drive to the local Starbucks to get any work done. The breakfast bar has the typical offerings but is not particularly well executed. Again, Starbucks to the rescue. The water in my room wouldn’t get any hotter than lukewarm. Not a huge issue but annoying for sure.
If you’re just passing through and need a clean, comfortable place to crash for the night, this hotel is a great option. If you’re a business traveler or will be here for a few nights, stay somewhere else.

The hotel itself is decent and of typical Marriott fashion. Clean rooms and good customer service. Which apparently leads some to believe that they are in fact at home. Let me preface though — This is NOT your home!
It is NOT okay to attend the free morning breakfast buffet in your pajamas, no shoes, hair a mess and generally looking like you just rolled out of bed.
This is a shared space and no one should be subjected to your general lack of hygiene. If you want to pile a plate high with the free pork sausages and load up on waffles while taking an entire fruit bowl back to your room for consumption later thats fine. But please take a moment to put on your shoes people-​This ain’t Wal-​mart.

This is a nice hotel. It is located on bierly right off vista. Even though it is right next to interstate 80 you cannot here any noise from the freeway. I really liked the fact that there is no slots which means no disgusting smoke smell. The rooms are clean and spacious, we had fresh towels every day. The bed was very comfortable, and they accommodated us with a shower bench. The only negative is the high school basketball team that arrived late made alot of noise. The free breakfast is ok, it is a hotel continental breakfast so take it with a grain of salt

I stayed in this hotel along with two other families. While checking in I was told all rooms are sold out. The manager Alen tried to find room closer but he could not.
However we had a major issue and turn down our stay as disaster.
We went swimming pool and the water clorine level was very high, which made all our 12 peoples eyes ichy. The whole night or eyes are burning sensation and we could not sleep. It WAS A TOTAL DISASTER. I complained about this to the manager and they tried to cover it up saying no one informed about it. Later it the morning I was told the pool guy is on leave. The lady over there was rude and cover it up all the time. IT WAS A DISASTER our stay was ruined. I was told that some one will call me from the information they have on my file. No one called. We are not still OK with eyes.
The eyes are still ichy and burning. for the kids. Employees are irresponsible here

Very comfortable beds (which is THE reason to book a hotel room — to sleep), stayed 2 nights, and will consider again.
Only reason for 3 stars is the breakfast staff… well first — if you’re going to have hot sausage/​bacon whatever — you’d think they could manage scrambled eggs or some such. The stone cold hard-​boiled egg didn’t really cut it. Yes they did have a waffle maker but it takes an interminable length of time and well waffles aren’t the most practical thing for hot breakfast…
The real kicker was the information book (s) in the room stated clearly that the breakfast was open until 10 on weekends AND holidays. Got down there Monday Labor Day at 9:20 and the breakfast attendant stated it was closing at 9:30. We inquired about the 10 a.m. stated in the books and we were told (quite rudely) we were wrong — they always closed at 9:30 on weekdays. Of the 10 guests that came down about the same time most had read the 10 a.m. and were a little miffed. We went to the front desk to alert them to the inconsistency and the response was «huh, I didn’t know that», and shortly thereafter crash bang the doors were closed.
I can only hope that one of the upset guests who stated they were the manager of another marriott property can influence the operations of this one.

A wonderful hotel and our perfect refuge after a long day of driving. Our checkin assistant made sure we all taken care of needs met. My request to be moved to a different room (strong smell of smoke) was quickly and efficiently taken care of.

You must enjoy their loud music party at night no matter whether you or your kids need to sleep or not. Why should they care about your sleeping? I think this hotel does not need to provide beds at all. Who wants to sleep?! Come on! Get rid of the beds, lower the rates, and enjoy the night party every day!

Stayed here two nights with my family. The rooms are very clean, the beds are firm but comfortable, and the staff is nice and accommodating. We love the location as it is away from downtown Reno but we like that we are close to a shopping center, restaurants and the coconut bowl. There are no slots or gambling opportunities but that’s exactly why we chose this hotel.

I like newer hotels, and this Fairfield Inn in Reno is pretty nice, especially for a Fairfield Inn! Nice desk staff; very clean rooms with nice décor; it’s nice and quiet there; breakfast was free and fine. Only bummer is the very thin/​wispy towels, but the cheaper the property (whether Marriott or Hilton), the thinner the towels :) It is what it is!
I would stay here again if/​when we return to Reno…
