C & C Fuel Injection Specialties

My husband and I were stranded in Reno with a broken 1988 Motorhome– not an easy find for a mechanic– The shop guys went out of their way to help us. It did take a few days to resolve some of the issues but it was worth it to know it was with guys who knew what they were doing and actually «cared» about their work. The price was probably half of what an RV shop would have charged us. I trust them and honesty in the car repair vocation is a hard thing to find — Thank you, thank you, thank you for being honest!

I’ve been going to C&C for years. Dave is highly experienced, extremely knowledgeable in working on high performance and race cars to bring out their best performance, and very intelligent. He has rebuilt an engine for me, done an engine swap and other highly technical work. However, he is not good at running his shop and work takes forever to get done. I stopped using him for routine car service and repairs because I couldn’t afford to have my cars in the shop for unknown periods of time.
I decided to use him again because I had work that was out of the ordinary that required customized modification to a seat and gas pedal assembly. I also needed to have my horns replaced with upgraded parts and seat heaters installed. He had my car for a month. He did a great job on the seat modification, a terrible job on the gas pedal modification, requiring me to undo his work and do the proper job myself. He didn’t do the other two things.
I give him two stars for his potential. If you have work that only he has the ability and specialized equipment to do and you don’t mind waiting forever to have the work done then go to C&C. Keep your fingers crossed that Dave finds the time to do it, doesn’t rush the job, and gives it his full, undivided, attention.
I have to remove a star. One of the things he did was a wheel alignment on another of my cars when he added shocks and springs. The alignment looked completely wrong. Very noticeable positive camber on the front tires but he handed me a computer print out and given the good work he’s done in the past I assumed that all was well. It wasn’t. The tires wore out on the outside edges and I had to get new tires and a new alignment (which looks the way it should). If he can’t do the basics right there’s no point in gambling with him.

C & C used to be a great shop. Unfortunately their work has gradually slid down hill and I finally had to accept that it was time to find a new mechanic.
I took my car to C and C three times for the same problem and each time it came back worse off.
This shop was recommended by 2 friends who have experienced the same quality issues and also found a new mechanic.

I just bring my mini cooper s into this shop. Because it has engine light on for a long time. I brought it to many shop before this one and it just seem like all of them just want to rip me off. So i end up bring it into this one. They did really good for my car. They fixed all of the problem i had with it. And they also deal with warranty company for me. They get it done very well with reasonable price. Now im so happy with my mini again and i will bring it in for some tuning in the future for sure. i wound recommend this shop to everyone if u dont want to get rip off.

got an alignment. prices weren’t nuts. got the job done well. lots of magazines to read in their waiting area. i was recommended by george at german motors in tahoe city to get the alignment done here. i have a feeling this isn’t the kind of mechanic that just fixes problems with cars. they enhance cars that are already running fine to run faster. there were a lot of fancy cars hanging out here like a ferrari and some tricked out corvette.
