Could not have asked for a better moving experience. The representative Kevin was on time gave great useful information and broke down the pricing for moving, packaging, storage and transport for the second vehicle so we could decide to pay for them to do it or do it ourselves and see what the difference would be. And the price was two thousand dollars less than the other two quotes.
The movers showed up right on time and the crew wasted no time and had it done sooner than I anticipated. Moved from Reno to Las Vegas and Brian and the crew arrived on time at 7:00 am and it was done by noon.
Not one piece was missing or damaged. This was our fifth move in 10 years to do job transfer and this by far was the best.

I had an appointment scheduled to have an agent come to give me a quote and they never showed. I called to see what was going on and was told I never had an appointment and that it was a different «Garcia» scheduled. Jasmine was completely rude. I do not recommend.

This was the WORST moving experience we have had in the past two times we have moved long distance. Moving day comes and they have booked a truck with not enough room, even after they have done an estimate of our items. The driver tells me first thing that I am going to have to decide what items I am not going to need right away. So they packed the truck full of what they could get leaving behind 1 — matress 3 — box springs and 6 — boxes. They sent another truck to pick up the left behind items, and those drivers said we would hear from the office about the plan for our other items. We NEVER heard from anyone from the office and we could NEVER get in touch with our moving coordinator. So we started calling the office once a week to find where our stuff was because we needed/​wanted it. Their response was always corporate hasn’t done anything yet with it or that the individual we needed to talk to was on the phone, then they would HANG UP on us before we could get any words in about the issue. We continued to call but then they started HANGING UP on us as soon as they heard the name on the order. We finally recieved our other items over a month later, with no heads up from the office. My advice DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We will never use them again!

Let’s see. Where do I begin? Our stuff was packed very very poorly. After the packers left, I discovered one of them had dumped the contents of our trash can into the master bedroom toilet and clogged it up. The hardware for our beds was not packed with each bed. Past companies have done this. Common sense is considered a super power these days. We had to buy new hardware to put our son’s bed together because the toilet dumper packed it with random toys and we didn’t find it until we had gone through several boxes. Our TVs we’re not properly boxed up. The dishes were placed in ordinary boxes with just some paper. The people who delivered our stuff couldn’t believe how terrible it was. Most of our furniture was damaged as a result. My husband’s military uniforms were also ruined. They smelled moldy. My clothes were in the same shape. I realize stuff gets shifted around, but damage could have been avoided if they did their job. If you don’t care about your stuff then this company is for you!

I have never seen so much damaged furniture in my life, and this was a Local Move. Our headboard is now cracked and scratched. Deep gouges in our cherrywood tables. Etc., etc. our King bed was never fully screwed back together. I had serious concerns about one of the movers who looked like he was a meth head. So when he was hiding from work, I asked the others if he had a drug problem, they laughed loudly, and based on their snickered comments, I was of the impression that was the norm for employees at Colonial. No one from Colonial or Allied ever made a followup customer survey. It’s clear, Colonial just doesn’t care. Interesting break schedule, arrive at 9:00 AM, break at 9:30. Break for 30 minutes, then go to lunch at 11:30. And so forth. And we were paying hourly rate for utter laziness, shoddy work, and damage to our furniture. Allied Van and Storage/​Colonial will never again touch anything in my house!

Every thing that was packed arrived in excellent condition. There were a few items broken or scraped but not enough to complain. The moving crew was very nice. The only complaints I have is the packing crew told me they would be back the day after packing to load the truck and they didn’t come. I had to wait till the third day alloyed for moving. Even the loading crew was awesome! I moved from Fallon, NV to New Orleans during the peak season of summer. Due to peak season I didn’t get my stuff until 2 ½ weeks after the required date. Regardless I am happy my stuff wasn’t damaged bad or stolen.
