A1 RV Sales

Recently made an RV purchase in Reno, NV. Contacted A1 RV Service regarding a 23 point inspection and body work estimate. Initially I was told what was done and that I had to come in and sign to ensure I would be paying. I asked «Bill» if he had a list of what was checked, only to find the roof inspection is included in the 23 point inspection. He originally said it was not and was planning on charging me $ 60 to inspect it. He said the inspection takes about an hour, but if the roof needed anything, it could take up to 2 more hours depending on what needed prepared. I made the appointment then, in person. Bill said he needed pictures of the unit, which I e-​mailed. The seller was to drop off the RV 1^st thing in the morning, as I had made an appointment for 0800. The seller let me know they did drop off the RV. I called about an hour later to see what they found out. I was told they hadn’t done anything. They were finishing up from the night before. Purpose of an appointment? I don’t know. Then I was told Bill called in sick. I believe Lonnie is who I spoke with. He said the inspection alone can take 2 – 3 hours!!! I told them to forget the inspection, since they didn’t give me the correct info. I asked for an estimate on a compartment door. When I got there they had provided an estimate on the compartment door and decided to include some rear scratches as well. Not sure why, guess to get more money? Then I was handed a written estimate. I asked why it was so much and was told the largest amount would be to take care of the scratches in the rear. Interesting, since I didn’t ask for that anyway. Then I was told the labor charge on the written estimate was incorrect. It should be more than double what was listed, as the rate listed was for an automobile. A price was written on the original printed estimate, indicating that was the true estimate for what I had asked to be done. No break down, nothing but a total price. I would suggest trying a different repair shop than A1. I got lots of run around, promises, and talk, but none of it had any substance!
