I’m torn about SC&H. They did my taxes in 2013 and I’m happy with them, but there were two serious problems.
First, our consultant was extremely unresponsive. He asked for items and then wouldn’t respond. I didn’t get confirmation that he received, acted upon, or filed anything. I had to ask and wait every time. The admin staff was much more helpful, honestly.
Second problem: billing. I was billed about $ 1,000 in total for tax prep with no explanation of what I was being charged for. It seems by the timing of the bills that I was billed for every email sent and received. I still have no idea what I paid for.
My experience was bad overall. The process took nearly six months, when I was expecting to have it wrapped up in a few days. The extra time was mostly me waiting for SC&H to get back to me.
