A decent breakfast for a decent price. My wife and I go about once a month and the food is service is pretty consistent. A few times my wife was unhappy with her order of french toast because it was not cooked properly. Other than that we will continue to keep this place in our breakfast rotation.

SUCH A FAN! If your looking for an amazing meal with fast service look no further! The food is always consistently delicious, the staff is always eager to help with anything you need. The home fries and thick cut applewood bacon is an absolute must, the omelettes are completely unique(and huge!)…Pancakes with an array of toppings continue to be a hit with all of my friends and family. Love Tracy! She always has a smile on her face. Alan keeps his eyes on everything and goes out of his way to make sure no one ever settles for something different then they wanted. This has been a long deserved review, I can’t tell you how many great experiences me and my family has had there. Thanks oph!!!

I’ve always loved the pancakes at OPH but more importantly, their homemade syrup. Mmm. But I’m a simple girl and if you’re looking for a unique pancake, you’ve come to the wrong place. Other than that, the rest of their menu is the typical breakfast menu. Servers have always been accommodating in my experiences. Particular to the Spinach Benedict(not sure what the menu name is) and fresh strawberries with cream. Good sizes for breakfast and a decent place to grab a quick bite. Normally this would be a three-star review for me, an average place, but one star gets taken for cleanliness. OPH has been long overdue for a spring cleaning. Food and stains all over the walls, crumbs in the cracks of the booths, menus are sticky. I cringe when I think too much about it. Final notes: One step above an IHOP, but nothing worth going out of your way for. Do not come on the weekends unless you enjoy watching the minutes tick by on your watch.

I have been here at least 10 times in the past 3 – 4 months since moving into the area. My experiences have all been good. I will never go to a place when you are expected to wait a long time to be seated.(Weekend mornings Etc) this time, I came on a Wednesday morning and had an Egg White Western Omelette and coffee with wheat toast. Carla is a great waitress who gets it. Good customer service, she was on top of it asking for coffee and water refills and condiments. My Egg White Western Omelette was so fluffy and delicious. The wheat toast is not standard toast bread, it’s a little thicker and tastier? I guess. The coffee is good. If you like omelettes this should be your go to spot. Be smart and don’t go during high demand times and you will never be disappointed. Check their hours though. They close early, 2−3pm

Here is your typical American breakfast diner with a bit of a edge to the rest. Why you ask? Well because if you are a fan of eating omelets this place specializes in making their omelets with a special touch. They actually bake them instead of frying them or grilling them like other places. Because of their style each omelet comes out big and fluffy. Now from someone who hardly ever orders omelets I must say the times I did, I was happy with the taste. When my son visits from out of town this is his first request, to come here for breakfast. Yes, he is a big fan. One side note I must say and this is just my opinion but I think important to state. If you like egg white only omelets, a baked omelets does not taste good. Go with the full egg, way better outcome. I tried it one time and could not even eat it:( Another note is that they have a daytime only hours of business so make sure they are open. Or did I mention the pancakes? They are very good as well. A must try. The of the place should tell ya.

Highly recommend this place. The food they have is by far the best compared to a Waffle House ihop or Denny’s … Clean place, friendly staff and easily the best orange juice in town.

Horrible service. If your hungry, do not come here. They have a horrible ticket time and are terribly understaffed. No coffee ref, wrong orders and I have yet to receive my water that I asked for 1.15 hours ago! Everyone around us is pissed. Never coming back here again.

Can’t say enough about my experience here. It was much more than expected. Came in for breakfast and was greeted my friendly staff, from the time we entered and throughout our time, including the busboy and manager. Asked for suggestions on the menu and got the Apple Pancake. It was huge! More like an apple pie the size of a small pizza. Nearby our booth was a cool looking orange squeezer. I fine piece of engineering. The hash browns on the side had onions which were great and our server kept my coffee mug full. I was very impressed. I would definitely come back again and recommend it to anyone in the area.

Hungry before the movies wanted breakfast. I turned to Unilocal to guide me. i found an original pancake house. i had dined in the one in kendall it wasn’t so great so I decided to try it again. wait time wasn’t bad twenty minutes tops. very noisy you can’t have a conversation. Sat down ready to order our waitress sped by us. took a while to order. i had the skillet my boyfriend had the omelett. The skillet was bland it had more potatoes than eggs. the omelett was ok. the pancakes were terrible .they tasted not homemade. Not even my dogs will eat. Refills never came. i would skip this place.

This breakfast hotshot is always packed, even in the afternoon! The hubs and I stopped by to fulfill his pancake cravings. Upon walking to the front door, there were several people waiting outside @ 1pm on a Sunday. Initial thought: oh crud, we don’t wanna wait(my husband was hangry — anger from hunger). Once we walked in, his eyes lite up when he saw the small bar area behind the front entrance. The bar has five seats, not the most comfortable but sitting there paid off. We ordered our food within five minutes of sitting and literally, five minutes later, our food was put. Freshly cooked, hot eggs, bacon, and home fries ready to be devoured. We were in and out in less than a hour, I’m actually writing this review within the hour of our arrival there. Now that’s fast service.

Like IHOP, but better. Reminds me of a diner, with its friendly staff and quick service. I loved the pancakes, but the sausage and home fries were standard. Eggs(sunny side up) were a little under cooked for me… I hate runny egg whites! Otherwise, it was a yummy, filling breakfast. Also, it’s pretty popular and crowded. Parking could be an issue.

Now here’s a breakfast spot that’s not bad but not great either. They offer breakfast and lunch closing at 2pm during the week… Which is perfect for me since I like to sleep in past regular breakfast hours anyway. I’ve always found it very pricey for the type of food you receive so lately I’ve opted for getting a Greek omelette with a side of buttermilk pancakes which is roughly $ 10(without coffee) If the prices were more reasonable I probably would try other menu items, but from what close family has told me lunch items aren’t that great and are slightly bland. The omelette in its self is a work of art, oven baked unlike your conventional skillet omelette making it light and fluffy. BUTBEWARE this little pocket of deliciousness is also a lava pocket. Make sure to let this puppy cool down before going in for the kill. The staff here is for the most part happy and nice, every now and then I get the same life less person take us to the table, usually a hostess is perky but not always… At least today he seemed grumpy but people don’t keep me away from breakfast :)

It’s rare that I write less than good reviews. Not all places I visit are great or extraordinary however you have to reach that statue one must go above and beyond. I guess what I’m trying to say is, good service isn’t something that takes a lot of effort. It requires only one thing«paying attention.» Paying attention to what your customer is communicating to you, paying attention to the utensils and condiments you place on their table, etc– provide the quality of service you’d expect if you were the client. Case in point, this morning my visit to OHP(Original House of Pancakes) with my client was less than great, not even close to good; wasn’t even subpar. First of all unless asked your opinion, one shouldn’t offer it. To tell a client that coffee is an unhealthy beverage is a no-no. With many mixed opinions about the healthy and unhealthy fact(depending on which side of the fence you stand), if your establishment serves it keep your opinions to yourself(eats into your profits). Secondly, I pride myself on being a very articulate and intelligent man, with a set of communication skills I’ve developed over the life of my career in the financial consultant industry(contributor to much of my success). So much so that when I request simple home fries and you bring me hash browns(not paying attention), I would suspect before you bring me the plate you’d double check the ticket to make sure you’re serving me what I ordered. Two simple sides hash brown or home fries not that difficult. To insult to injury when I ask for ketchup you bring me a bottle with the cap soiled with ketchup like someone let the cap take a dive in a mountain of sauce(not paying attention). Would it have been too much for my server to wipe it off before handing it to me. As I’m cleaning it the response was«oh, was it dirty», «you think» was my thought but refrain from sharing it. Could they’ve just said to me «let me get you another bottle.» My order of scramble eggs with onions and green peppers were more like onions and green pepper with egg(not paying attention). Let’s just say my experience was far from what my past experiences have been here. I will continue to go here, but will request those servers I’m familiar with and who’ve serviced me before. My server still received better than a standard tip but will not be serviced by them again(paid attention). At least my clients were okay.

I’ve been here a few times in the past. What a great little restaurant. Perfect for the family with good old-fashioned food. The atmosphere is quaint and inviting. The service is great and the staff are friendly and attentive. My only concern is that it seems a little cramped in here, but they make it work for them. Breakfast here is amazing. I had the American omelet based off a recommendation. Wow! A baked omelet fresh out the oven! A full, fluffy and delicious breakfast meal. Take a day here and enjoy a good American breakfast. You’ll be glad you did.

Here’s the down low. Don’t come on Sunday mornings unless you are a super early bird or love to wait on a long line for pancakes. Do come here midweek for breakfast-all day kind of craving, or especially after you just ended a mandatory clear-liquid-only two day diet and have a ginormous craving for blueberry pancakes. That is all.
