Specialties
I am here to help couples, individuals, and families connect and communicate in deeper and more meaningful ways. I specialize in relational therapy including couples and family counseling. I believe self-help is only part of the path to wellness but that our well-being is profoundly affected by the quality of our relationships. My wish is that counseling becomes an appreciated, accepted thing to do as most couples and families do need some help at some point in their journey.
I believe that we are all equipped with an inner drive to flourish. Healing is possible when individuals feel they are not alone in their plan. Understanding that our behaviors and assumptions can negatively affect us and those around us is a crucial piece of how we are in the world.
I have a diverse educational background which began at Wellesely College where she received a BA, which then led to a BS from Parson’s School of Design. I then went on to earn a Master’s degree from Fairfield University in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), where I serve on the board for the Marriage and Family Therapy Master’s Program. Following my completion from the MFT program at Fairfield, I opened a private practice and earned my licensure. I am a founding member of the New York Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy and currently hold board positions on the Pequot Library and NPR affiliate WSHU. In addition to my professional degrees, I went on to receive an MBA from Harvard Business School.
