My husband and I are super fans of the Food Truck, so it’s with love that I write this, with hope that it provides some helpful perspective to management(I already communicated a bit of this to the owner, but after I left I realized that more details of exactly what went wrong may be useful.) The food was bad today! Banh mi seems significantly less good than last season — it was way too dense, and not because it was filled with delicious ingredients, but because it seemed like it was far too pressed. Bread was way too toasted, so much so that it cut my mouth in 2 places in the first few bites. The meat was weird. Not only did seem like a small amount for a $ 14+ sandwich(this is again in comparison to last season — we’ve happily paid that much for this sandwich in the past), but the texture was strange. Fries were soggy and sad, and we wondered why they were prepared so early and left to sit on the counter, when it seemed like they could have benefited from more time in the fryer. I’m not sure why the food here went from amazing to not really worth eating. We’ll give this place another go, with hopes that it once again makes FANTASTIC lunches. If we have a similar experience to today, however, it’ll be time to move on to another lunch spot.

Food is very good but lines can be long and the food is a bit pricy for what it is. Really like the lobster roll and have enjoyed everything else I’ve tried there.

Really good Lobster rolls and sandwiches. Great, gourmet, fresh tasting food and quick. Also, lemonade and iced tea is two thumbs up. Not am always consistently good but nice picnic table and lounge chairs set up in back. Also, their reward system with punch out cards is a bit of a scam. I would recommend.

Stopped off here on the way back to the city after an amazing weekend in the North Fork. We had the beef hot dog and the banh mi with pork belly, as well as fries and lemonade. The hot dog was very good, and the fixin’s were really well prepared. The banh mi was pretty good — the picked stuff was delicious, the pork belly was tender and juicy, but it was missing a bit of mayonnaise to cut the vinegar. The fries were okay. Service was fast and friendly, and it was worth taking the time to eat in the backyard and make some new friends.

We had the pulled pork sandwich, fries and posole stew — good but overrated. The lobster roll looked good though. Perhaps we should have gone for that, as its turnover rate seemed to be much higher.

Yummy. Got the special vegetarian sandwich of the day which was buffalo mozzarella with artichoke salad and arugula on ciabatta bread. That was very tasty. Also got the pulled pork with tomatillo sauce. Also tasty but a bit heavy for such a hot day today. The fries with chipotle mayonnaise were done to perfection. Perfectly golden, not greasy and crispy. There are a few tables in the back under trees. It was a nice way to spend our lunch hour— eating good food and sitting in the shade. The parking lot was packed today– lamborghinis, ferraris, etc… galore. Looked like a fancy car convention!

Love the food at this truck. I have always had amazing meals here. Today I went for the special. Hamburger with cheese and Caramelized onions. Hands down the best burger I’ve ever had. If your anywhere near this place during lunch it’s worth every penny.

I’ve previously had amazing experiences with the Lunch Truck, and I look forward to their truck being at Mccall Ranch every Friday this summer, so im hoping this won’t happen again. Im giving a poor star rating to get their attention. Today I bought a 17 dollar lobster roll that clearly had ZEROEFFORT behind it. The bun was dense, clearly not fresh, and not even slightly warm. The bun to lobster ratio was poor, which makes for unpleasant eating: tons of dense bread over a smaller amount of lobster. The seasoning barely even existed. Literally a cold bun with a lacking amount of lobster salad thrown in. Im honestly stunned. I’ve always had amazing experiences with this truck. This lobster roll was incredibly MEDICORE, and unbecoming of their reputation. I’m not a snob; I simply want some quality for the money im throwing out of my wallet. Don’t insult your consumers with NO effort.

I’ve ordered from the Lunch Truck many, many times over the years. Yesterday, the food was good, as usual, but the servers couldn’t be less friendly. A little early in the season for the«put out» attitudes.

Interesting takes on some classics. Very high quality food and the preparation is top-notch. The lobster roll did have a couple pieces of shell in it, but it was otherwise really good. Bun was perfectly toasted and the light seasoning on the lobster was actually pretty good. The cod cakes were awesome, but a bit pricey for the portion size. Definitely a must-try if you’re in the area!

I never thought I’d pay $ 9 for a grilled cheese… until I met the TRUCK. Grilled cheese with bacon, please treat yourself to this indulgence. Top it off with one of their chocolate chip cookies and lemonade. So good we needed to go twice, and the people behind us in line who were leaving the same day, made sure they came back one more time before closing!

I have been wanting to try the lobster roll here for a while. So many people rave about it. I think that high end food trucks are a great concept. Unfortunately I was disappointed! There is no need to mess with a traditional lobster roll, unless you don’t like the taste of lobster meat in the first place. While this lobster roll wasn’t terrible, I found the portion of lobster meat to be on the small side when compared to others and the seasoning totally unnecessary! I don’t usually talk bad about chefs trying something different, but I feel that in this case you can’t improve on perfection. Oh yeah, plus I almost broke my tooth on a piece of shell that snuck its way into my roll. I may come back to try something else here one day, the menu did have many interesting choices.

Lobster roll is by far the best I’ve ever had. Also a really cute dining area in the back!

Everything here is amazing. I like the grown up grilled cheese and the pulled pork sandwich. Be aware the waits in the summer can be long.

We were out doing some wine tasting for the day and this place was recommended to us by one of our servers. The truck is located in the restaurant parking lot. I believe that the food is all local. I had the pulled pork sandwich and opted for the pepper jack cheese and poblano sauce. This was delicious, especially after a day of wine tasting. My fiancée had the vegetarian sandwich, which she also enjoyed quite a bit. The total cost was $ 21.50 for the two sandwiches. If I lived in the area, I would probably come here often. Definitely check this place out.

Had to stop here after having an amazing dinner inside on our last trip out east. The food 1. Grown up grilled cheese Maybe we made the mistake of not getting bacon on our sandwich but this item fell short of expectations. The goat cheese was overpowered by the white cheddar and the whole sandwich overall was a bit bland. 2. Lobster roll –very very good, the lobster was generously portioned, very fresh, and perfectly seasoned resulting in a solid menu choice. 3. Pulled pork with all the fixins Messy but delicious. If you love pulled pork as much as I do definitely give it a shot. It’s sweet juicy and full of flavor Next time on the list –the hot dogs everyone seemed to be ordering, was looking for something unique but I’m guessing these must be pretty special –meatball hero with ricotta cheese basil and more sounding amazing –the steak sandwich with onions and horse radish also made my mouth water Ok so the bad –there are scattered lawn chairs to sit in half of them falling apart and sitting in mud. We snuck around to the front of the inn and found a small table on the front porch. Come prepared to either bring food home or bring a picnic blanket if you’re gonna enjoy the food here. Overall Just like the north fork table and inn’s restaurant the food truck does not disappoint. Don’t miss it!

A few friends of mine and I were exploring the North Fork and decided to grab lunch at the The Lunch Truck. I was amazed at the menu selection, which included the freshest local ingredients and grass fed beef, at such reasonable prices — especially compared to the on-the-go junk that is out there. I wanted to try everything!!! I ultimately decided to get the«roast beef sandy» — sliced grass-fed beef, paper thin sliced radishes(which I never had before on a sandwich — delish!) horseradish mayo, arugula and crispy onions on a toasted ciabatta roll with a side of local potato chips. Topped lunch off with a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie. Who can ask for anything more?! My friends tried the lobster roll, grilled goat cheese, heirloom tomato with buffalo mozzarella, and pulled pork sandwich. Everyone was raved about their meal. We will definitely be back soon.

The lunch truck at North Fork Table & Inn is located in the parking lot of the restaurant. The menu features locally sourced gourmet take-out. Tried the«grown up grilled cheese», goat and cheddar cheeses on blue duck bakery rye with balsamic onions and arugula – so darn good $ 9. The tomato gazpacho was so fresh like sweet cool tomato basil music to your mouth $ 4⁄8 ounces $ 6 for 12 ounces. Most were opting for the lobster roll, of course, $ 16. Fish tacos are catch of the day– today’s were swordfish tacos but I’ve seen that they also do mako shark right from the dock to the food truck. hours are 11:30 to 3:30 and be prepared for a line.
