Wow! Amazing people working here. I usually shop at the Tom Thumb closer to my house but was in Southlake so I stopped here. First I noticed how clean and quiet the store was, it was. Tuesday at about 8:30pm…so It must be a slow time for them. I was approached by Dan Quail(I hope I got his name right) from the meat department and he engaged me in friendly conversation and let me know if I needed any fresh meat that he was there and would get me the best cuts. When I went to get in line, the checker Brad Neal was also super friendly and we chatted while he rang me up. He asked me if I needed any help out about 3 times haha! Glad for the offers of help and friendly conversation. I used to work at a grocery store and they always pushed chatting up customers but I always came off awkward and forced. These guys were way better at it than me haha!

I’ve shopped here 3 times. Every time, I’ve had the same cashier(not by choice) check me out with an attitude. If she’s not sizing me up and down over her glasses, she’s ignoring my questions, and giving me the silent treatment. That’s not nice, Big Momma!

Tom Thumb provides a broad selection of your typical groceries you want to find. The produce section isn’t the best that I’ve seen but it will meet most of your needs. The products tend to be a little pricey but not terrible. They have a helpful florist near the front of the store that I’ve used on occasion.

Tom Thumb TOTALLY doesn’t fit with my regular grocery shopping budget, but I must give the older gentleman working the wine section mad props for being so incredibly enthusiastic about his job. He spent several minutes helping me find the perfect bottle of cabernet sauvignon for a get-together with friends. He clearly loves his job, and was very knowledgeable about which wines go well with different meals and different tastes. I am working on my cabernet palate and he recommended something that wasn’t too heavy but was a great compliment to our grilled meal. He recommended Alexander Valley Cabernet and I was very pleased!
