The food here was absolutely delicious, I liked it a lot. The service was friendly and operated at a fast-pace. The only setback was how small the tables were, but they need to be small considering the size of the store. Overall, a really good experience, highly recommend this place.

This place is not as good as ppl think I’ve been there twice and service was horrible I had to keep asking for service I asked for water and they told me all they had was bottled water then two ppl walked in and ordered water and they brought them ice water from tap and I told the lady that I wanted iced tap water also and she said I should have told her but I did anyway I ordered my food and I noticed other patrons with chips and salsa and I asked her why she never asked me if I wanted chips and salsa and she said she didn’t think I wanted any. I told her how can you assume what I want and she said she just didn’t think… Well I really hated the service and the food wasn’t worth all that drama!!!

I meant to review this place a week ago! So good! So so good. Authentic and like… home! Though I’m not Mexican ! So dang good. I loved every last bite of my carnitas tacos. The owners are great. Family owned. It’s wonderful!

Very nice, simple restaurant with good food and friendly service. The Huevos Divorciados were tasty! The Migas were also good, with fresh tortilla strips. The fresh salsas were are flavorful, with a good sampling of spicy and mild variations. The COFFEE was great! Be sure to try it, 100% Colombian, with a homemade twist(added cinnamon). $ 8pp. They have fresh juice every day, so be sure to ask for it.

First and last time I will eat here. Took 10 minutes to get my chips and salsa(they charge for them). It took even longer to get a single burnt tostada and a taco salad. Only one other customer in the whole place, so it’s not because they were busy. Very disappointed. Won’t be back.

Just order a pitcher of salsa and call it a day! I seriously could drink this stuff. Hands down THE best salsa in DFW. I basically order the salsa with a side of tacos. just me you will too!

I’m undecided on this place. I love the authentic feel of the place and the menu but was a little disappointed in the food. It was lunch time when we arrived and the place was totally jam packed and people were still rolling in. I ordered a couple of chicken tacos on corn tortillas and guacamole and neither one was really bursting with flavor. The guacamole had filler lettuce and was sort of bland and the tacos were just alright. I haven’t totally written them off yet because I want to go back and try something else like beef tacos or something.

Food was ok. Not great just decent. The customer service was problematic. The server offered us chips and salsa as if they were free… only to charge us $ 2 later. We also complained about the food quality and the server did not show any emotion and apologize, nor did he try to alleviate our concerns. There are plenty of Mexican food places in the area. Avoid this one.

Located in a shopping area on the west side of Southlake, this is a small family run restaurant. When you walk in, you feel the cozy, homely atmosphere. It’s nothing like one of those chain restaurants. I ordered two tacos: one fish and the other shredded beef. The fish taco was really good with a slice of avocado and lettuce. It tasted a bit plain though. I added some salt to bring out the flavor. It was quite good. The meat in the beef taco was well-seasoned. The corn taco shell was very soft and thin. Although it was not made in-home, it tasted good. The portions were quite moderate. Since it was a late lunch, it was fine with me. If you expect some home-made, authentic Mexican food, you won’t be disappointed. The servers were very friendly. They talked to you and made you feel very welcomed. I’ll come again to try something else on the menu.

So on our way to burgers for dinner last night we passed this little place and decided to hop on Unilocal to check out their ratings. Pretty glad we did! The restaurant itself isn’t huge but it is nice enough on the inside. The only employee we saw the entire time we were there was very friendly and helpful. We were welcomed and instructed to pick a seat and then were waited on immediately. The chips and salsa are very good. The salsa is homemade, and there is a sort of condiments bar of to the side where you can refill your bowl when you run out. We also got a small cup of queso which was good. I ordered an al pastor taco and a chicken fajita soft taco. I loved the chicken fajita taco. Very, very good. The al pastor was a bit on the sweet side for my liking but it was good. I think I would skip that one next time and try another kind but still get another chicken fajita taco. My husband got the taco box which includes three tacos, rice and beans. Apparently you can only get three of the same kind of tacos with the taco box(which doesn’t really make sense) so he got the pork with red sauce. He said that they were very good but that he’d like to try another kind next time. The beans were pretty standard and the rice was good. I would definitely go back to this little place. The employee was nice, the restaurant was comfortable and seemed clean, and the food was good. The food is CHEAP, btw!

Great authentic Mexican food! Sure there is Tex-Mex out there which I love, but this is far better as it’s a great change of pace. In the past, I had to visit the South side of Ft. Worth to get such legit Mexican food. For those who don’t care to venture far off the beaten path, they do offer a lot of items Gringo Style(Tex-Mex).

Adorable little taco shop with the sweetest people who work here! It’s tucked inside of a shopping center in the middle of Southlake. If you blink you will miss it! They have all sorts of delicious tacos with fresh corn tortillas. I’ve tried the grilled shrimp tacos and they were awesome… fresh shrimp marinated in a spicy sauce. The rice and beans were pretty good too. But the tacos here are the real winner. They have barbacoa and other authentic meats too. I’d like to try the queso next! There’s even breakfast tacos… just so much to choose from! It’s worth the drive to this little place and pass up Torchy’s for something different. Come show them some love and get every salsa from their homemade salsa bar.

Good quality food with zesty flavor. The portions aren’t gigantic, but everything has its fair share of meat and goodness. Not your typical Tex-mex taco joint, so you must appreciate the difference and realize what you’re getting that’s different. No endless bottomless chips for free. Sorry, phatties

This was really a 3.5, but unfortunately there were a couple things that made me round down. I had three different tacos so I could have a good representation of what their food was like. Al Pastor meet was amazing. Loved the flavors. Picadillo had great flavor as well. Carnitas was meh. Nothing special about it. I loved that they served them authentic(with cilantro and onions rather than lettuce, tomato and cheese, which was also available) style. My wife had the huevos a la Mexicana and they were good. One thing that brought this down a notch was the tortillas. How are you going to be called a «taco house», especially with«Austin» in the name”, and have crappy store bought tortillas??? The flour tasted like Mission and the corn were not much better according to my wife. That was a little annoying. We’ve lived in Austin for the last 8 years(until last year) and there is some great Mexican taco places down there. This would not survive up against them. Also, they charged for their chips and salsa. Who does that? Increase your menu item prices and serve chips/salsa for free! Not smart business move. Service was great and they have a salsa bar with 4 different types of salsas. I especially liked the rojo caliente. Pretty spicy with great flavor.

Very average. It irks me that they charge for chips and salsa. My tacos were ok. Actually the fajita meet was more gristle than good meat. The cokes are also not fountain drinks… So no refill. The place is kinda cheap looking and very mom and pop… Price wise. After paying extra for my chips and salsa… They are actually about the same price as a mico cina I bet they get a lot of traffic because they have a cool name. I didn’t really find them positively memorable.

These are good tacos, but I’m tickled at how the Bourgeoisie of Southlake think these are *great* tacos. They’re no different than any taco the Proletariat eats from hundreds of gas stations and bodegas from the north side of Fort Worth to southeast Dallas. It’s like the Southlake soccer mom can«slum it» and eat the food of manual laborers without having to get up close and personal with steam trays of barbacoa and coolers of Jarritos, festooned with soccer uniform-clad senioritas.

Stopped in for dinner after soccer practice and really liked the authentic feel of this cozy spot. This reminded me of San Diego — the homey atmosphere, authentic décor, family friendly staff. This is not your fancy restaurant, but a casual low key place to enjoy authentic Mexican food(none of this Tex Mex stuff) at a very reasonable price. I enjoyed the chicken fajita and shredded beef tacos, my husband had chicken fajitas, and kids enjoyed nachos, tacos, and queso dip. I wish they had more of a burrito selection, but hopefully that will come later. Refried beans not bad, but not great — barbacoa beans were good. Was it the best we’ve had? No, but it was good and I appreciated the love and pride the employees displayed for their food and business. I definitely can support that over another chain Tex Mex place. Closest thing to the local taco shop in San Diego that I’ve experienced so far.
