My son has been getting his hair cut since he was 1… he is now 2 ½. I thought I would give this place a try since they«specialize» in children and even autistic children.(My child is not autistic but I figured if they were qualified enough for that, then they could handle my toddler.) They literally told me to hold his arms down and then used the largest clippers I have ever seen while he screamed his head off and had tears streaming down his face. The haircut wasn’t even good! I was uneven! And now he is going to be scared to get his hair cut from now on when up until now he was ok. This place was TERRIBLE and I will NEVER go back. I can’t believe they claim to be a children’s hair cutting salon!

We brought our 11 month old son in for his first haircut the other day and this place was great. We were greeted immediately as we walked in and we were promptly in the chair for his cut. Plenty of entertainment to keep the little one busy and the stylist was fast. We received a little certificate and a baggie with a lock of his hair as a keepsake. The whole time the stylist was happy and most importantly quick. As another reviewer said, this is not the place for high fashion styles, it’s for quick, good haircuts for young children. We will definitely bring our son back here in the future.

My mother brought my son in there for a haircut last Saturday. It was a HORRIBLE cut, it’s uneven and there’s a big hunk cut out of the back. For $ 19 plus her $ 5 tip the person that cut his hair did a horrible job. This is the second time we’ve been there, and I do NOT plan on going back unless they do something to rectify the situation.

Our almost 2.5 year old daughter was in need of a quick trim to avoid the dreaded«toddler mullet» look before her Christmas pictures. Her hair has come in slowly and she’s only had one haircut before, around 6 months ago at a different salon. During that experience, she sat in a chair and sobbed while the stylist sprayed her hair and trimmed randomly while admonishing me for not making an appointment and then handed my 2 year old a lollipop without asking me. That haircut cost us $ 20 plus tip and I was NOT about to make a return visit. We walked in to Snip-its on a Saturday morning and had only a 2 – 3 minute wait. The stylist was friendly and very understanding of the handful of tears. She had me hold my daughter on my lap rather than sitting her in the chair(which helped calm the little one significantly), and she sprayed only as much as was necessary to get the trim done. She cut a cute short bob and left a section to grow in over time, put a cute little glittery clip in my daughter’s hair and then helped her pick a prize. I appreciated that the stylist asked me if she could have a lollipop before just offering her one(and she very sensibly spelled the word out so that the kiddo was none the wiser when I said no thanks). For $ 17.95 plus tip, it was a reasonably pleasant experience and the kid’s hair looks much better. Really, we’re not going for high fashion or avant garde styles at this age, we’re going for a little bob that looks nice and is easy for child and parents to maintain and that was what we got. For that price and to be in and out in 10 minutes with no wait is perfectly fine by me! We will return to Snip-its when we’re ready for another trim.

We walked out. My son was 3 at the time. He had finally been doing well with getting his hair cut. We just have to tell the stylist no clippers(they scare him) She told us. «I do it my way and that the only way I do it» And this is a kids place??? I even wrote a letter to corporate.
