Dalton Moving and Storage

I don’t have a final opinion on these guys yet because my stuff is still with them, but I thought the few pretty rotten things that did happen to me were worth letting others know about… I needed to put my three bedroom house in storage while I left to California. I went with them because the man on the phone. I think his name was Aaron was very nice and told me he would allow a one time free access to my containers if I needed it. Well the day of the move came and the men sent were great. EXCEPT that they took two white boxes that were NOT IN THE AREA OF THE MOVING BOXES THAT I HAD INSTRUCTED THEM TO TAKE and were clearly a different color and marked for the post office. These two boxes had items that I absolutely needed for my move to California. The next morning when I realized they took these boxes, I called Aaron and he basically told me that there was nothing he could do. That my possessions were sealed and put away and it would cost me money to go into them to see if I can locate the two white boxes. I asked if he could at least call the movers who had been at the house to see if they recall taking them. and he said he would, but then never called me back.
THEN 2 months later I was visiting CT from CA and asked if I could get into my storage containers. Aaron again, answered the phone. I called on a Wed morning and asked if I could make an appt to get into my containers that Saturday. His response was. No way. I can’t do that. I need at least a few day notice. (Im sorry, I thought Wed to Sat, was a few day notice??). I explained I was only in town for a few days in which he didn’t really care much. He went on to say the summer is the busiest time for them and they have guys running 5 warehouses and the earliest he could get me in was the following week. Unfortunately I would already be back on a plane to CA by then! Oh yeah, and when I asked about the one time opening fee being waived, he said he does sometimes tell that to customers, but if he did, that he writes it on their paperwork and he didnt see that he wrote anything on my file to indicate he said that! I asked if he was calling me a liar and why would I randomly say that. His tune obviously changed very much from the first time I called to inquire about their services. Beware, the customer service truly isnt here. I am going back East again soon and will hopefully be able to get into my stuff!
