I don’t know what happened to this place. The last 3 times that I ate there I spent all night on the toilet(as well as the people that I went there with). The first time I had an issue was from their Fish, the second time was from a Patty Melt and Onion Rings. I was weary about going the 3rd time, but I thought I would be safe with a breakfast(Bisquits & gravy with a side if hash browns and sasuage). No difference — again on the toilet all night. What a shame because I live behind in the neighborhood and it was so convenient to walk there. The only reason I give it 1 star is because of the staff.

Ordered a western omelette with no onions, got ham, onions and cheese omelette with no green peppers. They have messed up several very simple orders for me. I’ve given them many chances because they are nearby but always seem to be disappointed.

Place was packed mid morning. Got a Coney and a Chicago dog. Service was great, sat at the bar and ordered to go. Good chili on the coney, dog was a bit chewy but overall it was good. God bless them but they have no idea how to make a Chicago dog though.

The service was good. Wait staff very friendly and attentive. I liked that we could sit wherever we wanted to. I had regular coney. It was good. I didn’t know it was a chain.

You won’t be disappointed. Wild Coney will fill you with all the things you need from a coney, and a little bit extra. Their fried fish will burn your mouth and then excite you. Their reuben will delight your senses before plopping some russian dressing on your shirt. The waitresses will make sure your coffee is a little too hot(balance it out with cream.) The bros with backwards caps behind the grill don’t look like it, but they are damn good cooks and work the line faster than you’d expect. The restaurant is constantly cranking out orders, and there are usually 3 or four waitresses on hand to control the crowd. I generally get the mediterranean plate, which is not only delicious, but provides me with enough(homemade?) hummus for two days. If you’re bored of eating cold leftovers out of styrofoam, the seasoned chicken in the dish fries up spectacularly and makes a great taco. I haven’t had a bad experience here, or a screwed up order, or anything really underwhelming in taste and quality. I can’t speak for the other branches of this restaurant, but the southgate wild is spot on!

Start off with the Chicken Paprikash soup. I have it every time they have it. It’s Hungarian and has little dumplings in it and tasty pieces of chicken. It’s amazing how many different ethnic groups are represented on the menu. I highly recommend their All You Can Eat Fried Cod. You can get it with a wet or dry batter and they prepare it well. Last visit I tried the Chicken Mediteranian Platter with wonderfully seasoned sauteed chicken, a salad with red onion, green pepper, tomato and cucumber in a Greek dressing, hummus and pita bread. My boyfriend had the Steak Kabobs and they were chargrilled just right with a creamy cucumber sauce on the side. The pita bread was served warm and soft. Another good thing to start with are their mozzarella sticks. They’re not just frozen and taste great with their ranch dressing. Can’t wait to go back and they won best Coney Island in the Downriver area last year on channel four.

Went there yesterday with the in-laws. The ledge under the windows at eye level was full of dust and dead fruit flies. I tried to look past that. The coffee came with spoons in the cup, my husband pulled his out to find a straw wrapper stuck to it. Gross! The server acted like it was nothing… she should pay attention to what she’s doing. I did not eat or drink. I will never go back.

Unfortunately, I can’t agree with«Andrew B.» Husband and I went looking for a yummy chicken gyro. To begin with, we had a long wait for our food. Once we received it(in drive thru), I began to check the order we placed. Instead of two chicken gyros, we got one chicken and one lamb. I was going to complain about that, but my husband just decided to give me the chicken one and keep the lamb since I wanted chicken. Problem solved, right? Wrong! This sandwich was the absolute driest gyro I’ve ever had. We had to doctor them up after we tasted them. Oh, and along with my order being incorrect, they forgot to grill my onions(a specific request). I’m not too picky, normally. But I had my heart set on a yummy chicken gyro… #fail :-(

Coney Island is usually Coney Island, no curve balls here; but this one here holds a special place in my heart since it helped remedy my drunken night ;) Good Breakfast, I can tell you that.

Delicious food from a huge menu of choices. They’re now offering Midle Eastern food which is really tasty. If you sit at the counter — you can watch(and control) the big screen TV — or better yet, watch all of the activity from the kitchen and wait staff moving like a finely oiled machine. Always clean, plenty of seating, and easy parking. Their wait staff very attentive too.

Great gyros, off the spit! Some places use the frozen pieces that look and taste like the insole of a shoe. Not at Wild. Very clean too. Definitely worth a try if your looking for a great gyro Downriver.
