James D. B.

Business Owner

I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from James Madison Residential College, a department of Michigan State University, in 1971. I served in the United States Army from 1971 – 1973 and am a Vietnam-​era veteran. I attended The Detroit College of Law and received my Juris Doctor and also passed the bar exam in 1978. While attending The Detroit College of Law, I worked for the Prosecutor’s Office as a special assistant from 1976 – 1979. I have been in practice for 35 years and I am licensed to practice in all Michigan State Courts as well as the Federal Court. I have argued a substantial amount of cases in the State and Federal Courts, including the 6^th Circuit Court of Appeals and the Michigan Supreme Court. I am a member of the Michigan State Bar Assocation and was a past member of the Michigan Trial Lawyers Assocation. I have tried numerous felony criminal cases including murder in the first degree with successful outcomes. I have also defended many drunk driving 3^rd cases.
