Foggias has the finest, most authentic lasagna in this area. Not to mention the most accolades with meat sauce and meatballs, closest to your Nonna or momma’s. They now have an elevator that enables the older and less nimble to feast in heavenly bliss. don’t fill up on the salad. Plenty of meat with the best of dressing. A hidden, due to signage law, wonder in southgate across from the municipal buildings in downtown southgate. If there is a downtown southgate?

Is it inside of a racquetball facility? Yes. Is it dimly lit and a bit out dated? Yes. Is the food above average? Yes. I am giving it four stars for now because I can’t judge an Italian restaurant solely on their antipasti salad and warm bread. I will say that our carry out antipasti was excellent: meaty, ripe Roma tomatoes, lots of cheese, salami, and ham. The salad was properly dressed in a nice vinaigrette that didn’t overwhelm the salad. The cook packaged it with two beautiful loaves of fresh house made Italian bread and that was a great meal. I can’t wait to return to try the pasta and pizza. Manga!

After hearing that this family ran the original Roma’s pizza is Southgate, which was the first pizza I ever had, I had to stop by. I have heard good things about this place so I was expecting alot. The family that runs this place could not be any friendlier, so it pains me to say that they make good not great pizza. Their large would be considered an X-large anywhere else, which is nice. The problem seems to be with the sauce. It was kind of bland. If they could spice it up a bit this would be a serious contender for best pizza downriver. There is always a possibility that I visited them on an off day, so I would give them another chance. They seem eager to please. One thing that does not matter to me much but might bother some is that they use canned not fresh mushrooms. I am hoping I can upgrade this review after my next visit.

Only heard about this place once but thought, pizza in a wallyball place? This pizza is AMAZING! The owner is a great host and checked on everyone to make sure they were enjoying their dining experience. This pizza is outstanding and as others have said, a hidden gem of downriver.

A diamond in the rough. They make u feel like part of their family. Great price for their 16 Slice XL pizza, and it was awesome. We are a family of 4 and we still had half a pizza to take home. Will definitely go again.
