We really likes this hotel, the rooms are excellent and the lobby/lounge area is stupendous. The only problem we had was with the key cards to the room, which sometimes did not work and had to get security to let us into the room and show him passports. This hotel is in an area where there are not many places to eat, we found a Dennys not to far away which offered good food at a reasonable price. It is easy to get into other parts of NY from here and we found the metro system excellent.

This place may seem at first like your usual seedy motel, however the rooms are immaculate and the sheets are clean and smell good. Still typical motel appearance(which makes it fun/a good backdrop for sleazy fantasies) but a well run business in a really convenient location. The proprietor, Sal, immediately recovered a bookbag I left on the ground in the friggin parking lot. I was so nervous but when I went back sure enough he had it and told us some funny stories about what people leave behind. He was a really sweet guy and he loves the place. Good vibes and unbeatable price. Try the orange top diner for breakfast!!! I’ll definitely be back.

This is perfect for Tux/Warwick workers;) Me and a few friends and drivers have stayed here… they give you exactly what you need it is clean and the management is nice. The rooms offer big showers and the closets have a lot of space. Parking is easily accessible in front of the rooms and their is network connection for phones that hit many dead zones in the wooded parts of warwick.

I am in totally agreement with Alex S. and Joann S. For the price, and location there is no competition. Beds are fairly comfortable, and all have refrigerators. Some rooms do have tubs — just ask if one is available when you check in. There is a BBQ area, and a gazebo. Well maintained landscaping. The owner Sal’s sweetness really can not be beat. The rooms and linen are all CLEAN if a bit outdated. We stay here multiple times a year, and have for years.

This is a really bare bones motel, and so it may seem outrageous to some for me to award it five stars, but here’s what’s up: This motel is exactly what you’d expect – only it’s actually NOT a rip off. It’s the only motel in a very small town, South Field; the type of place, in at least my estimation, that only needs one motel, a gas station(the type with a bunch of snacks, alcohol, mediocre coffee, and multitudinous scratch-off tickets), and a couple of restaurants(in addition to the standards [i.e., post office, cops, schools, some class religious facility]). What’s truly magnificent about South Fields, though, is its relative proximity to the Appalachian Trail, and a wealth of brilliant hiking and campgrounds. South Fields is a «stop» on the Short Line bus($ 15…what?!)…which runs on a schedule, but sometimes elects just not to stop. Even if you’ve got massive hiking poles sticking out of your bulging backpack, and you’re jumping up and down frantically, making the universal symbol for, «STOP!!!» The Tuxedo Motel is located directly behind the Short line«bus stop;» you have to walk/drive up a 200-foot driveway. The lobby is amazing: it has one of the BIGGEST American flags I have ever seen, and was decorated(in extremity) for Easter; and the clerk was literally one of kindest, most thoughtful people I’ve ever met. He was genuinely excited to see hikers; he told us about the high volume of hikers this year(due to the warm«winter»). He made sure we took menus so we could order food(we’d hiked from 10am-7:30pm). He was just so nice! And he didn’t even charge for a second person. The total was $ 49.95, taxes included. Exactly what you’d expect for the price. It’s not the Ritz. The décor is ugly, there is no tub, just a rather industrial-looking, kind of nasty shower. After sleeping in the woods, who could possibly care? It was clean enough: just pretty sad looking. But the rest of the room(heated by an electric heater, which actually worked strangely well) better tended to. The bed was clean and very comfortable. That’s really all you can ask for considering the price. And that the owner rules!
