This is the second location for Mookey’s Soul Food. I’m assuming the first one is a stand alone restaurant??? Not sure if it’s dine-​in or carry-​out only, but THIS one is located INSIDE of a party store. It’s literally a couple of counters in the back of the store. They have all the soul food fixins: rib tips, chitterlings, fried chicken, fish, liver & onions then sides like: green beans, greens, mac & cheese, sweet potatoes, red beans & rice and more. Menu-​wise, they have it all. Except black eyed peas… they didn’t have those.
They have lunch and dinner specials… but most of their meals include 2 sides and a bread (I think bread… because we didn’t get any, but it seems like I read that).
I’ve heard good things about Mookey’s from various people, but the food was just okay to me. This location isn’t exactly near my home, so I wouldn’t make a special trip this way just for Mookey’s again.
