Hands-​On Physical Therapy and Athletic Rehabilitation Center is a 3000 square foot physical therapy facility centrally located in Lathrup Village within Southfield, Michigan, minutes from Farmington Hills, Oak Park, Beverly Hills, Detroit, and Bloomfield Hills.

There is a no-​wait policy in place, so patient’s can start physical therapy on the same day if necessary.

The clinic is handicap accessible, and has a large variety of exercise and PT equipment in order to offer a very wide array of treatment options including mechanical spinal decompression, laser therapy, joint mobilization, anodyne infra-​red light therapy, iontophoresis, phonophoresis, ultrasound, balance training, etc.

, Dr. Muhammad established Hands-​On Physical Therapy and Athletic Rehabilitation Center in order to provide physical therapy at its highest level to everyday people who suffer from physical dysfunction and debilitating pain due to orthopedic injuries and conditions that negatively effect their lives.

Dr. Muhammad is credentialled by the American College of Sports Medicine as Certified Personal Trainer (ACSM-​CPT), and his primary area of practice is with sports and orthopedic rehabilitation. He is also an NSCA-​Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. In addition to seeing patients on an outpatient basis at Hands-​On Physical Therapy and Athletic Rehabilitation Center, he also treats patients on inpatient basis as staff Physical Therapist at St. John Providence Park Hospital in Novi, Michigan, and also as staff Physical Therapist at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan.

Business Owner

Dr. Mikhail Muhammad is a licensed Physical Therapist and the founder of Hands-​On Physical Therapy and Athletic Rehabilitation Center. He attended Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. After obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences, Dr. Muhammad received his Master’s Degree at Howard University in Washington, DC. He then went on to obtain his Doctor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr Muhammad is Licensed in the State of Michigan, Maryland, and Washington DC.

Dr. Muhammad is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the Michigan Physical Therapy Association (MPTA), the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the Detroit Medical Society (DMS), and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is an APTA Credentialled Clinical Instructor for Baker College, Wayne State University, and Henry Ford Community College Physical Therapist and Physical Therapy Assistant curriculums.
