This place is not consistent Waited over 30 minutes for food and the restaurant was almost empty. I ordered grits ant it had skim on top was cold and the little bowl they serve it in was only about a 1⁄3 full I asked for another bowl and it had even less in it Hey Cracker Barrel grits are cheap. They also didn’t bring refills very disappointed

First time at any Cracker Barrel and after reading a few reviews I was not expecting that much. We had a party of 7 so I was expecting slow service and some issues with our order as this seemed to be a common review. Couldn’t have been more wrong, service was very good and we got our food very quickly. I’ve definitely had a better breakfast, but food was good and all of us enjoyed it!

Love Cracker Barrel just not this one has it has high rate of issues getting orders right. The cooks don’t seem to know how to cook eggs over medium but somehow Waffle House does. Toast came tonight when meal was done which is often problem… things go back because not right and you are half way through meal before fixed

Clean restaurant, great food, and exceptionally friendly staff. From the lady who sat us, served us, and checked us out they were all so nice. And the good on top of things nice, not the bothersome around to much nice. Nothing beats great service! Our food was what we ordered, on time, and very yummy.

This has to be the worse restaurant experience I have ever had. First of all the greeter taking us to the table must have been a sprinter. She just took off and left our party including 2 elderly people. No consideration at all for senior citizens. Old men walking with a cane can’t sprint to the table. How about some consideration. Secondly the the people delivering our food to the table were incompetent. They didn’t know which dish belonged to whom and were just shoving plates down in front of everyone with no regard for whom the meal belonged to. Thirdly, the noise level was unbearable. I mean so loud you could not hear the waitress trying to take our order. Management, instead of working the dining room was shooting the bull out in the store. I am not recommending this Cracker Barrel to anyone.

We were so excited to move close to a Cracker Barrel but not this one. We’ve gone twice and both times our food was cold. Nothing tasted right, not our usual experience :/

I have been here on three or four different occasions since this place opened. Our family usually only goes out once or twice a month, usually on Sundays after church. I have tried to give this place the benefit of doubt after being disappointed. Reason being, I have been to about five or other six Cracker Barrels around the country and they have all been great. This place is terrible. The service is slow, the food is often not cooked correctly and the wait staff is unmotivated. The seating is also very, very crowded. I have had more room in crowded mess halls in Afghanistan. I shouldn’t need to ask the waitress to top off my coffee. I am not trying to sound like a jerk. I just think this place expects business because of the Cracker Barrel brand. Maybe this place is unprepared for the weekend crowds and does not have enough employees. Either way, the benefit of doubt is now gone. I will NEVER come here again, not as long as I have a say in it anyway. I will give my business and hard earned money to other restaurants that appreciate customers. Locally owned businesses like Millers Diner or Mama’s Kitchen in Vass or the little Mexican Restaurant in Food Lion plaza in Aberdeen. Right now this is a still a hot commodity because the restaurant is still new. I am sure that will wear off if the service and food does not improve.

This Cracker Barrel is not up to the standards of most units. My wife and I had breakfast at the Southern Pines restaurant this morning. Not fancy or exotic. I had two eggs with grits bacon and a biscuit and gravy. Of course I had coffee, this is breakfast. Unfortunately the gravy was made with old grease or at least that was how it tasted. The homemade biscuits had the taste and texture of the buns that you might buy at any major grocery chain. The grits were not hot and it took quite a while for the butter to melt in the grits. We had asked that our bacon be cook a little past normal to remove some of the fat. That was a mistake because m bacon was hard as a rock. Also my wife’s bacon was the standard soft and greasy product. To salvage the meal and try to maintain a jolly Christmas mood, I did not complain. I will stay that the coffee, had that four hour old taste. Once we left the restaurant, I told my wife about the greasy gravy and she said that her pancakes had a grease taste too. As I type, my wife is laying down and resting because her stomach has hurt since she had breakfast. I can understand mistakes if the kitchen staff is busy but the place was half empty. This is my second and last trip to this mediocre Cracker Barrel. I will continue to eat at other Cracker barrels but this one is a pass. The two stars are for the attentive waitress.

The Southern Pines location of Cracker Barrel has been open for less than a year. I chose to have lunch here mainly because the place I thought I was going had a standing line of Senior Citizens — guess they were part of some group. Anyway I was quickly seated and greeted. I ordered the chicken fried chicken which comes with three sides. My server was efficient, and the order didn’t take long to arrive. Good sized portions, nice flavor. Able to have a nice lunch and be at work on time in the area.

Ok let me start by saying that I am NOT a Cracker Barrel fan at all– never have been. We went here Sept 1st because my daughter was having her baby down the street at More Regional, and my husband and I ran out for a quick meal since we had not had any food all day. We were seated quickly. Waitress came right away. She took our order and the to-go order for my son-in-law. So far so good! Here is where it goes bad… some random man brought out the food minus the bread and said our waitress would be by to check on us. That never happened. I watched a different waitress walk by my empty tea glass 4 times and looked at me… yet walked back to the kitchen with her 2 half full pitchers of tea! She hurt my feelings. Our waitress was MIA and never came back I was worried about her I thought maybe she had been kidnapped. Anyway a waitress stopped by and asked how we were and I asked about OUR waitress. This girl noted that she saw our glasses empty for quite a while. Then she came back! She was ALIVE!!! our waitress was back! She wanted to know if we were ok. «I know I should have come to check on you guys». Really? Now I am just annoyed. The to go meal was supposed to have tea. I asked about the tea and some random woman said«It is most likely in the bag.» seriously? INTHEBAG? Cracker barrel— I wish there was an award to the Worse service EVER you got that one coming for sure! Why did I give it 4 stars? the food. It was excellent. Hot, fresh, exactly what we ordered. Minus bread but the quality of food was outstanding. I want to go again just for the food(and remember I don’t like that kind of food) Happy ending the manager wrote off half of our bill because he knew they were off their game and even he was shaking his head when the girl suggested the tea was in the bag with the meatloaf.

I have been anxiously awaiting the opportunity to have lunch or dinner here(as they just opened). Cracker Barrel is one of my favorite places to eat. Finally made it there today. Was a little disappointed that the food(both mine and my friend’s) came out cold and then when I asked the waiter to nuke it a minute, it took about 10 minutes to get it back. They brought my friend the wrong food back out and had to yet again go redo her plate. The food was okay but not what I am used to with other Cracker Barrels. I will give them the benefit of the doubt though because they haven’t even been opened a month, maybe they have some wrinkles to iron out. I am happy to say that my hashbrown casserole was awesome though!
