We customize cupcakes & cakes for birthday parties, weddings, showers, dinner parties & special occasions. We strive to provide delectable desserts which add to memorable times with friends & family. History

Established in 2009.

The C. Cups concept began in June 2009 after receiving the devastating news that my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. While visiting my family back home, we often came together in the kitchen, baking comfort foods. At this time there was an emotional toll taken on the family, but also a financial one. With this came the realization that the love of baking I inherited from my mother & shared with my family, could become a career not just a hobby. Many months were dedicated to perfecting recipes & twisting the arms of friends and family members to try my cupcakes and give me feedback. With recipes perfected, I started building a website. I then reached out to a local market and quickly began providing them with desserts. Growing successfully has lead us to a new website due with online ordering & the opening of our Cupcakery, March 2011!

My story is a little different than most bakers. While I did inherit the love of baking from my mother we have only one recipe that has been handed down for generations & it would not make a very good cupcake! I also have not had any formal training in the baking department, but have taken a few basic decorating classes. As a child I looked for every excuse to bake, whether it was my stuffed animal’s birthday or just another day to celebrate. I have to assume my life long love for desserts is what makes me a successful baker today.

I ordered a half dozen cupcakes for my daughters birthday. I gave them a picture of what I wanted, to include the candies that were to be placed on the cupcake. I ordered a marshmallow frosting and a strawberry dream cake. We didn’t receive marshmallow frosting and the cake was baked for too long the paper was pretty much part of the cake. When pulled apart the cake stuck to the paper and you were left with a quarter of the cupcake. The cupcakes did not look like the photo we sent in. Highly disappointed. I couldn’t say anything, but thanks after leaving. It was already too late to find cupcakes elsewhere. I could’ve made those cupcakes for less at home. My daughter and her friends didn’t even want to eat them. Ended up throwing them out. My daughter and her friends stated, «it looks like the frosting took a poop on the cupcakes». (Since it didn’t cover the cupcakes completely and was just a mound of frosting in the center).

We love this place. We have purchased an assorted variety of cupcakes on many occasions. My favs are key lime, and island coconut. I love that I don’t have to order in advance. I can just decide we are having a celebration and walk in to order cupcakes on display. They are super friendly and always polite. Stop by and see! You won’t regret it!

Super yummy cupcakes! The frosting is perfect, the cake is moist without being too dense and no matter what flavor I’ve tried, it’s been delicious! Red velvet and chocolate varieties top my list. They are expensive, so it’s only a once in awhile treat for us.

Greatest place for cupcakes in NC! Cakes are moist and frosting is fantastic in every flavor. Salted Chocolate caramel was delish!!! Strawberry lemon was made with real strawberries in the frosting. Chocolate mint was also amazing. Only one that wasn’t as moist was the German chocolate cupcake. But you could taste all the spices that went into the cake and the flavor was on point.

One word — SCRUMPTIOUS!
My family loves C Cups. The display makes it hard to pick just one so we sometimes leave with cupcakes to take home. My favorite has a chocolate icing that melts in your mouth. It’s heavenly! The owner and the girls that work there are wonderful and very friendly. They do specialty cakes, large orders as well as wedding cakes. My husband and I ordered several dozen of various flavors for our wedding and it was a HIT! Our guests loved being able to pick their own flavor and raved about them. They also offer a military discount.

I used this cupcake shop to cater my wedding and I would NEVER recommend anyone using them for an important event. The order was incorrect and when I approached the shop owner, Janell, about it she was combative and rude. I bought hundreds of cupcakes through her company and she refused to work with me to resolve the issue. My order came up short and incorrect and she refused any kind of reimbursement or compensation. I will never patronize this business again, there are other cupcake shops in the area, including Kraz Elegant Cakes.

Not sure about some of the other reviews but this place was great! The cupcakes are reasonably priced ($ 2.50) for specialty cupcakes. Trust me, I come from a place with very expensive cupcake and baked good shops. The chocolate was amazing! One of the best I have had. The girls working were super nice. The place is small, so don’t stick around too long. It could have been a tad tidier and cleaner. But sooo worth it!

If you are craving chocolate this IS NOT the place to get your fix. Other flavors are decent but they have yet to create a delicious chocolate cupcake (I have ordered multiple chocolate flavors). Also, the customer service has always been far below par in my experience.

My family and I visited the C Cups Cakery the Wednesday following Saint Patties day because we were given a coupon for a free cup cake. We stopped in C Cups around 3:30 in the afternoon.
The store is very clean, and the atmosphere is cheerful.
The cup cakes themselves taste VERY GOOD. The prices are ok, again, the cupcakes taste great so I would buy again.
What we did not like: The girl working the counter, although friendly, had here boyfriend lingering around the shop. He was picking out cup cakes when we walked in… but, he also took up the only large table available. My family of 3 were crowded around a table meant for 2, and another family of 4 were sitting at another smaller table. As a paying customer, it was annoying to have an employee“s boyfriend hang out and take up so much room. (The shop is very tiny)
My advice: Order cupcakes to go.
My 2 stars are because the cupcakes are very good, but I’m not there to listen to a girl flirt with her boyfriend while eating cupcakes.

Cupcakes get 4 stars, customer service is worth 2, so we’re going with an average of 3. The girls working didn’t know how to smile, which in the cupcake industry is hard to understand. If I were making cupcakes all day, I don’t think I’d ever be in a bad mood, especially if I got a discount on the ones I made. Too bad the owner wasn’t there– then I’m sure the business would be getting 4 stars from me.

Had to stop in here during a business trip to Southern Pines and pick up some cupcakes. The name was the first thing to draw me in, very clever. I also had the recommendation of a colleague who lives near by. I picked up a half dozen and I have to say that they were all awesome, granted I only tried 2 myself, but the rest received rave reviews. Nice clean shop, easy to get to, and very nice staff. I will absolutely return.

Delicious and GLUTEN FREE!
My husband ordered me 6 German chocolate cupcakes and 6 chocolate cake pops both gluten free for Mother’s Day. They were excellent. Gluten free baked goods can sometimes be dry and crumble apart, these were neither. Apparently the shop can adjust most of their cupcakes to be gluten free.
If this is what they can do for gluten free I imagine their standard recipes are fantastic. I would highly recommend C Cups for all diet types!

I love their cupcakes! Sometimes I will drive all the way to Southern Pines from Raeford just to get some! Favorite by far is the pumpkin pie cupcake. Their cream cheese frosting is better than their traditional frostings. Least favorite was the vanilla cupcake with chocolate butter cream– frosting was just too sweet. Adorable atmosphere and very helpful staff. Ordered 3 dozen cupcakes for a baby shower and everyone loved them (again, pumpkin pie was the favorite)! I’ll definitely be back. Helpful hint– if you’re looking for variety on Saturday, you’ve got to head over early! The cupcakes go fast on Saturday!

In DC there is a little shop called Georgetown Cupcakes. The delicious confections led to the owners having their own television show on TLC. The cupcakes are fantastic, and C Cups is a worthy competition. (Admittedly, the 30 minute drive versus the 5 hour one seals it.) The flavors are true to their description, the sweetness is not overwhelming, the appearance is appetizing, and the overall package is worth the price. Feeling just a bit torn about my planned Wednesday versus a drive to Southern Pines…

I ordered 18 (9 key lime, 9 vanilla) cupcakes for my twins’ «under the sea» theme birthday party. We were all very happy with their appearance (see pics).
The quality of ingredients, however, was not as high as I’d hoped. While the lime had a distinct flavor, the cake itself was heavy. The frosting on both was synthetic tasting. Not what I anticipate when expecting cream cheese frosting. The powdered sugar in the frosting had the aftertaste of plastic. I would recommend they upgrade their ingredients for a more delicious product.
The shop itself seems to be doing well as both times I’ve been in there were customers waiting in line as well as a stack of boxes waiting for pick-​up.
My kids both loved their cupcakes so I’m sure we’ll be back.
On a side note: Hilarious business name! Although I prefer D Cups, C Cups will have to do.

Petite shop with big flavors.
Finally in town on a day they were open we popped in to take 2 cupcakes home for dessert. The key lime and red velvet caught our attention and went home with us. I was pleasantly surprised with the intense key lime flavor that was balanced by a light and airy frosting that too was flavorful. My Husband really enjoyed his red velvet. We consider red velvet to be our cupcake shop barometer– and theirs did not disappoint. The cupcakes are tender and light, and the frosting airy and just right.

Not sure who A M. is but they must be delusional! I have had C Cups cakes several times and they are fantastic! Not to mention the gatherings where they were served they were loved by ALL. I am dreaming of the day they open a store locally so I can drop in daily for my fix. My favorite is the red velvet and cream cheese icing. A MUST try. Every birthday, holiday, or day that falls in the seven days of the week is a perfect day for cupcakes from C– Cups.
