The Grannie Project

I am sadly disappointed with my experience with The Grannies. or lack there of.
I have tried for two weeks and numerous channels to try adopting a little one eyed kitten named Elliot. I have attempted emailing via petfinder, emailing their other emails, phone calls, posting on their facebook page, messaging their facebook page but to no avail. I hate to have bitter feelings toward a group of volunteers helping animals, but I have not even gotten a message telling me they received my messages and will get back to me. They have no time to get back to a potential adopter, but they have enough time to post pictures to their facebook; and even seem to ignore messages they get since seeing their recent posts was what caused me to attempt to contact them there.
The only time I have seen them respond was to another Unilocalers negative review of them; I’m in a way hoping that this gets some sort of reply from them. It’s just a shame that it takes a negative post to get word from them. I just hope little Elliot finds a home before he is a senior cat and that he gets the same focus as any of their older cats, unfortunately I may have to adopt elsewhere since I guess I will never hear back from them.

While I think any organization that provides shelter to homeless animals is wonderful, I was astounded to be hit up for a $ 250 adoption fee for a tiny little kitten. I rescued a dog a couple years ago and paid $ 170, as soon as I brought him back to be neutered, I got $ 100 of that returned. Just because you are on the main line does not mean you should take advantage of peoples hearts and walletts.
