History

Established in 2000.

Sea Green Designs started as Broken Colour Works as a studio where owner, Shannon Willey, focused mostly on custom finishes for walls and furniture. We were always open to the public and increasingly sold more products from the store. We started doing interior design in 2004. With a degree in Fashion Design and a degree in Environmental Studies, Shannon combined her passions into Sea Green Designs offering sustainable products and design for the home.

As the founder of Sea Green Designs, located in the coastal village of Southampton, NY, Shannon Willey is always expanding her commitment to delivering coastal style that not only transitions from cottage to contemporary, but also is created using earth-​friendly resources. Since starting her business in 2000, formerly called Broken Colour Works, where the focus was on custom finished furnishings and wall finishes, Shannon Willey has added products and services at Sea Green Designs from custom case goods to sleek upholstery in coastal hues, to elegant yet relaxed window treatments, as well as her decorative painting and interior design services. A longtime passion for the environment (started long before getting her degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Buffalo) and a love for pattern and texture (fueled by her degree in Fashion Design from F.I.T.) shape Mrs. Willey’s creative vision and Sea Green Design’s mission to create beautiful spaces that you can feel good about.
