Clamman Seafood Market Caterer

We ordered 2 lobster rolls to take out. Despite being the only costumers we waited forever.
We opened a bag at home to find a round roll with poppy seeds, deep fried dark brown chips, and stinky coleslaw.
Inside of the roll with poppy seeds were few leaves of lettuce, 3 thick sliced of not very red tomato and a small blab of what they call a lobster salad… but it was few small pieces of lobster with (I think) lots of cheap crab meat from a can. Crab meat from a can does not go with a lobster. It makes everything taste like wood chips.
We ended up throwing entire order to garbage. Yuck!

Amazing food!!! Clams were delicious and the lobster roll was perfectly seasoned. Love this place!

My husband and I wandered into this place to have a quick lunch. We ordered the lobster salad sandwiches which came with chips and coleslaw. It was a delicious lunch! The chips tasted home made! We decided to buy dinner for the next day — crab cakes and Bayman’s chowder. Both were excellent! The crab cakes were huge and very fresh and I don’t believe that they contained any fillers, just pure crabmeat — just about the best I’ve ever tasted! The chowder was made with a variety of fishes and nicely seasoned. It would have been still better if there had been more pieces of fish in it. The prices are on the high side (but probably typical of the Hamptons). Just wish they had some tables and waitress service and it would be perfect!

Great fresh local fish– the local scallops were delicious. Also got the skate but haven’t tried it yet. Fish and chips were good but would be better if it were battered instead of breaded. A solid Hamptons fish spot. Recommend it. Good crab cakes.

Food was absolutely abominable. Blackened swordfish sandwich with weird size pieces like they were pulled out of the garbage and fries that were soggy and tasteless. DISGUSTING.

The food was really poor and they «forgot» several of of our items. Soggy fries, Yuck clam chowder.

What a hole in the wall with no restroom. Service and seafood for the price they are charging is not worth it. Place has a fancy sign but that’s about it looks like someone’s back yard. But it’s not about the décor but the quality of the food. Hmmm… I waited for 30 minutes for my order then noticed that my seafood pasta was not on the list of items I ordered. Then had to wait for additional 15 to 20 minutes because the guy misunderstood me. The oysters look like it was just pulled out of the toilet dirty and nasty looking. I don’t know where they get the fresh seafood part from.

Clam man I was disappointed with the lack of service and food, they did’t even wash the clams with my order, it was like eating pasta with sand and it’s over priced, no no no .! Just NO !!! I will not return

Disappointing. We tried the fish tacos and they were overdone tuna with salsa and cheese. Gross. Not the fried cod and cabbage slaw type I was hoping for. We also got the New England clam which was also not very good. We bought some swordfish there — agree with other reviewers, overpriced, hope it’s worth it when I cook it later because they’re prepared lunch items were not at all.

The only reason I will give this place 4 stars is due to the quality of the fish, always fresh if you get there just after the fish monger starts slicing. My point is that they charge ridiculous prices. I mean like $ 29. bucks a pound for lobster ! You can go to King Kullen and buy the same size lobsters for $ 9.99 a pound. There are lot’s of frozen items from all over the place that are really good if defrosted properly. I feel that they, like most other food purveyors in the Hamptons just charge too much, especially to us Locals who keep them in business 12 months a year. Every single specialty food store in the Hamptons NEEDS to provide LOCAL’s DISCOUNT CARD ! OK.

Excellent Fish market that feeds off the historic and still vital & thriving area commercial fishing industry. Super clean, nice store. Great local fish. Prices are surprisingly reasonable given the setting and location. All prepared food I have ever tried has been good.
Clams are excellent, an important area for me when judging Long Island fish markets & they help assure the place A solid 4 stars so long as they keep offering the clutch special of buy 2 little necks get 1 free. this just happens to be the amount I most often buy!
Also, the place does now take credit cards if it didn’t at some time before.

Working out here for a few months so I went driving around after work to check out the back streets & passed a little seafood shack. So I stopped in. The customers were friendly, the staff even more so. I ordered an oyster po’boy. Was not expecting it to be in a wrap! It was delicious! Go Figure! Will definitely be going back to try other things.
