So disappointed! Was excited to see this truck at OTG Serramonte last night. I ordered the jasmine green milk tea with boba. I asked if the drinks are made towards the sweet side and was told no because they use agave. Wrong, it was crazy sweet. The drink itself also tasted funny. By funny I mean it tasted like they used the tap water with high levels of minerals — which gave it a funny taste. And the boba was hard and not very good. My friend ordered the same drink with less sweetness and she felt her drink was on the sweet side… and the drink tasted«off» which we gathered it must be the water used. Sad to have spent $ 5.5 on a boba drink and only had ¼ and threw it away

I actually really like their drinks. Every time their truck is at Hiller Aviation Museum I get 2 pineapple lychee lemonades! There’s real pineapple chunks but I do think it overpowers the lychee flavor it’s more pineapple than lychee. The owner Monica is very sweet and they also own little green cyclo where I get the lemonade from when the dessert truck isn’t here. Mhmm.

I’ve had tephiphany one other time at OTGSF and today(03÷10÷16) was my second try. when I saw the truck on my school campus today, I had to go for it. I love boba, and tephiphany is a super cute idea. With that being said, it’s kinda overpriced for some very generic boba. Maybe it was the flavor I got, but still. I got the Thai iced tea. The main appeal of tephiphany is that they serve it in cute mason jars(if you bring it back next time you get a discount). Other than that, it was pretty basic. Mine had more condensed milk than tea, but I still finished it super quick and was satisfied. The boba was a little hard and had a weird after taste. Given the amount of cheap and great boba in SF, I don’t think I’d go out of my way for tephiphany.

The allure of this boba place is definitely in the way they serve their drinks in a mason jar. My friend and I tried this place at Off the Grid at Fort Mason and we were left pretty disappointed with the flavor of the drinks. First off, the boba had a very hard texture and not much flavor. Both of us tried different flavors and all of them were extremely bitter & most of the drinks claimed to have high caffeine levels. Overall, I would not recommend, unless you are a fan of highly bitter and caffeinated milk tea.

Just okay. I didn’t actually try their boba, but my friends who did said it was disappointing. Basically just cool and hipster boba because it’s in a jar but doesn’t necessarily taste great. I tried their mangomisu, which wasn’t bad, but I’m not sure I’d get it again. My friend said it was better/more worth it than the boba though. It was basically a small mango tiramisu(with fresh mango!) in a small jar. If you like tiramisu and mangoes, it’s worth a try! Personally, I’m not a huge fan of tiramisu and don’t really like rich desserts, and while the mango made the dessert lighter than normal tiramisu, it was still pretty rich from the cream. I ended up eating just the mango and the cake parts.

I love, love, love this place! I first tried their tea at the Bay Area Pet Fair. I ended up with 3 teas that day! When I didn’t see them there on the second day I was bummed. Tonight my friends and I went to Off the Grid SF and I was excited to see the truck there. I love that they have unique flavors and concoctions. Some are sweet, some are spicy, some aren’t either but taste refreshing. If you’re not sure about something and want to know how it’ll taste, just ask! I believe most of their ingredients are organic and/or local, which is an added bonus. The pineapple and lychee tea is my favorite!

this food truck came to the SFSU campus and I was excited to try it to get out of the norm. Unfortunately, I was not too impressed. The best part of my meal was the banana bread pudding. It was the perfect consistency and I enjoyed it! The 9!:9 spice chicken was also tasty! However, The vermicelli noodles were plain and flavorless. I understand minimalism in food but I expected more from an 11 $ plate. Then came the boba drink the part I was most excited for(being a SF boba junkie). I wish I had known the Taro was natural and not powder because the natural chunks that covered the bottom inch of my mason jar made it very hard for me to take a sip without the chunks coming into my mouth. I did not like it, maybe use a strainer to remove the lumps. Also they had run out of lids

Eh, mediocre. One star for friendly service, second star for cute glass cup. Shut Eyes Wide: Definitely on the stronger side. Not sweet at all. Caffeine levels claim to be high but I’m currently yawning as I finish my drink. Tapioca: hard. Sweet, but hard texture. Disappointing. Thai Tea Cheesecake: TOOOOOOO sweet.

I decided to get some of this at Off the Grid. I am glad I did! I got the pineapple Lychee Lemonade. Bringing back the Mason Jar for next time. The price wasn’t too bad. Service was pretty quick and the girl was very friendly! Quality was great and with something like this, I always want more.

I stopped by this food truck today for lunch to try their teas and desserts. The milk tea is pretty expensive… you are really paying for the novelty of the glass mason jar. Which is cheaply branded with a sticker. It’s also not a very big jar but still costs $ 5. For $ 5 you can get a really large milk tea at Sharetea, or if you go to Plentea in SF, at least the glass container is nicely embossed. I got the earl grey milk tea. It tasted really floral, which some of my friends liked but I was not a huge fan of. I also got the banana bread pudding as a dessert. It’s not really a bread pudding… it’s more like a slightly moist cake/brownie. Way too dense to be called bread pudding. Also, there was some tart fruit taste added to it which I was very much not a fan of. When I order banana bread pudding, I don’t want the taste of raisins or whatever it is. I expect mainly banana and cream or condensed milk. Side note: I saw in some pictures that they got lids included with their mason jars. They didn’t give us any lids when we went today. Plus if you put in a large order to-go, they simply use plastic cups. Overall, I think this was overhyped and expensive. The truck looks cute and of course everyone is raving about anything in a mason jar these days but it’s definitely worth skipping next time.

This is the best boba that I had ever had, the only thing that I’m a bit dissipointed is that they haven’t opened up their own shop

One of my favorite things is boba in a jar! I visited T. Epiphany at Off The Grid Fort Mason & I was happy to see a boba food truck because boba would go so well with all the food there! I tried the Pineapple Lychee Lemonade with boba because it sounded interesting & I saw many people order it. When I finally tried it, it was just alright. I love tartness but this drink was extremely tart & glaringly sweet! The pineapple part of the drink tasted like it was from canned Pineapple Cocktail Juice. I couldn’t taste the lychee very much because the pineapple overpowered it along with the tartness. As for the boba, it was very chewy & undercooked. One of my friends ordered the Iced Matcha Latte which was creamy & good. & another friend ordered the Guava Black Tea which was really good & I regretted not ordering that instead. I also tried the Thai Iced Tea but it was pretty average. It was not that creamy & definitely not one of the best I’ve had. Overall, I had a decent experience but the Pineapple Lychee Lemonade isn’t for me. But I would come back to get the Guava Black Tea & to try the desserts that they have! & if you need a lid, just ask for one when you pick it up because it doesn’t come with one! If you bring the jar back, you do get $ 0.50 off but I’d rather just get a new jar because it’s not much of a price difference & the jars are cute!

I tried their pineapple lychee lemonade on a hot summer day in Daly City. It was so refreshing! I love the tartness of lychee and it goes well with the sweet acidic pineapple. My boyfriend got the Arnold Palmer and it was almost better than my drink! I can’t wait to try any of their milk teas and boba.

Let’s be honest. I came to this OTG during their 5th anniversary to try T. epiphany with high expectations. With high expectations come greater disappointments. I was stuck choosing between a drink or dessert. In the end, I chose their Taro Tea. When my drink came out, there were no lids for the jars given. I was planning to enjoy the drink on the car ride home but had to finish everything to avoid spillage. The drink was a lot different than I had thought too. It had taro bits in the tea but I expected the drink to be creamy and milky… not literally just tea with taro pieces. Without the milky taste that I’m used to, the drink was of a weird combination to me. I do want to come back and try their desserts.

Found this truck at the Off The Grid 5th Anniversary Celebration at Fort Mason and thought to try it because I’d never seen a boba truck. Though the line was long, service was fairly quick after ordering, and also very friendly. But the drink itself shaves off the two stars. I ordered the Thai Tea because I’ve always found it to be the safest option when trying a new boba place, but found their version lacking sweetness in both the tea and the boba. It might just be my sweet tooth, but I thought the boba at least would be sweeter, especially for $ 5 each(comes in a mason jar). I spoke with some other customers who also felt the same way about the Jasmine Milk Tea. I’d probably give it a second chance in the future just because of the service.

Odd the grid serramonte! I didn’t get one of their drinks. They had little cards hanging on the front of the truck. Specials, perhaps. One of them said banana bread pudding $ 3. DONE! I love bread pudding. This one was different, but in a good way. Moist but dense and had a fruit of some kind on top. Delicious! If they have it, try it!

No joke, my go-to boba spot. I always wait till Friday and Tuesday’s for Off The Grid just to get a drink and I collect their cups lol. Worth the wait, and their boba is just perfect not too chewy and not too soggy. Love their Thai iced tea! The lady that helped me was very nice, excellent customer service! And I was so happy to hear they have a restaurant in SF!(:

Just because there a long line outside a food truck doesn’t necessarily mean they’re outstanding. It might mean they are just slow. Waited 25 minutes in line for Thai tea with bubbles. Don’t get me wrong I knew what I was getting myself into but thought it would be worth it for the mason jar. The Thai tea was ok, though in some ways similar to what you can find in a can in an Asian supermarket. I am far from a bubble tea snob, I have relatively low standard but this was far from extraordinary and as others note it is suffice to say, overprice. Also they ran out of lids for the jar. Hard to justify going back.

Didnt realize these folks were the same as the Little Green Cyclo truck. A bit on the expensive side but higher quality beverages. Got a Black tea latte. It came in a mason jar with their logo as a sticker on it. Pretty tasty. But for $ 5 it was on the high side. I dont mind paying for quality but this is towing the line for price performance value

Brought to you by the culinary force behind the Little Green Cyclo food truck, this dessert truck serves milk teas & Vietnamese coffees in the most awesome jars. I wish I had the appetite to try their cheesecake or cookies($ 5/each), but I cant get enough of their strong, creamy thai iced tea with boba($ 5 + $.50 for boba.) I tried it first last Friday at OTG fort Mason & upon seeing they’d be at OTG Serramonte just four days later, I rushed over to get my fill. If you’re not a caffeine junkie, their pineapple lychee lemonade($ 5) is the drink without a jittery kick. I appreciate that their menu indicates the level of caffeine in their tea & coffee drinks with yuzu jasmine on the low end & their thai ice tea/Vietnamese coffee mix on the stronger end(must try that next!) Other drinks I’m amped to try soon: iced matcha green tea latte & their passionfruit tea. As cold & windy as OTG can be this time of the year, nothing will stand in the way between me & these pretty-colored iced milk teas in glass jars from t. epiphany!(tip: return the jar & get $.50 off your order!)
