I have been coming to this place since it was called staticninegarage. Although they changed their name, their reputation stayed. This is probably the only place that I will ever go to.. An honest shop with knowledgeable employees. I came here to get my miata serviced and they were more than helpful. Mark is the man to go to if you have any questions or want some advice about any project cars you have in the works. The quality bar is set very high here and it shows in the way their staff operates.

I’ve had quite a bit of work done to my ’01 BRG Miata and everything went great. From fluid and oil change to suspension install and roll bar install. The car was always cared for when in their hands and they communicated work status whenever I inquired. Drop-​ins were sometimes available, but I’ve always recommended people to schedule appointments when possible to ensure part availability.
I encourage everyone to check out SB Garage for your maintenance, tuning and performance needs. They’ll take care of you and answer whatever questions you may have. I also recommend having a clue about your vehicles problem (s) and be prepared to describe them when you stop by. Also listen to what they tell you about what services they’re recommending. Common sense goes a long way and saves you money.

Sbgarage is the place to go if you need your car to be worked on. Very knowledgable and honest guys. They take pride in what they do and treat your car as if it were they own. They specialize in performance tuning to the basic preventative maintenance. The only shop I trust in the Bay Area to take my car to. I wouldn’t choose another shop

I recently had my clutch completely redone because it had given out from my last drift event and I had another the following week. I literally called from the track once I notice it started to slip and Ivan quickly scheduled me within a few days to upgrade my clutch, flywheel, braided lines and master and slave cylinder. Their tech, Mark, did an amazing job and finished right when they estimated to be done. I was on the track within the next few days and was worried that I didn’t put enough break in miles but it did not slip once at the track and I do a lot of clutch kicking. It’s already been a few months and 3 – 4 events and haven’t had one issue. No slippage and continues to grab after all the abuse. I strongly suggest coming here, especially if you’re a track enthusiast.

I have been coming to SBGarage for a year or so, the guys there are really friendly and always helpful with the questions I have. The techs are very meticulous and thorough when doing work on the cars. The front desk guys know what they are talking about when telling you what needs to be serviced on the car, and labor rates are not to over priced!

Jason, Marciano and Ivan are great guys! SBGarage did a motor swap and all the necessary maintenance for me, and did a great job! Even cleaned the engine bay up at no charge. This shop is very knowledgeable, and they work at fair prices. I’d give ⁶⁄₅ stars if I could. A+ work at SBG.

I’ve been coming here since the Static Nine days. Came in to get braided brake lines installed and the brake fluid flushed on the Miata. Jason and his crew were very informative and super friendly. They found some other items that needed to be repaired on the little track whore and put it on the service notes so I’d remember. SB Garage cares about what they do; I’ll definitely be coming back, thanks guys!

If you are looking for a trustworthy and honest place to take your car in for whatever reason, THIS IS THE PLACE! Jason (the owner I believe) and his crew are awesome! They are straight forward, trustworthy, honest, and helpful. Most auto shops always over charge (especially when you’re a woman) but this place does not do that. They’re customer service is awesome and they are very thorough in explain what’s going on and what needs to be done with your car. They do great work and get it done pretty quick. Don’t think twice, just go there and see Jason! You’ll be in good hands :)

SB Garage came through for me in a moment of panic and delivered some of the best service I’ve ever received at an auto shop.
Long story short, I realized that my car needed oil ASAP and that the oil cap was not coming off. Not familiar with this area, I looked up shops on Unilocal and found them at the top of the list both by reviews and by distance from me.
I gave them a call and Jessica told me to come right over, that they would squeeze me in. True to her word, almost as soon as I arrived, Jason checked out my car, got the (broken) oil cap out, filled my engine back up with oil, and got me a new oil cap. As the oil cap they had in the shop didn’t fit my car, he personally called around town for one and drove over himself to pick it up! Wow!
Blown away by the friendliness and amazing service!

This has to be one of the last true and honest shops in the area.
I’ve been coming here for years and have had them due anything from maintenance and repair work all the way to track prep and inspections, from fender rolling and tires all the way up to chassis and engine mechanical work and it’s all been EXCELLENT! When I leave the shop I’m confident in their work and have never had any issues.
The labor rate is really competitive and their parts prices are awesome! They have a BUNCH of aftermarket Miata upgrade and maintenance parts in shop and even have an incredible inventory of quality used Miata parts in stock ready to go! (For those time you break a bolt or bend a subframe and need one ASAP!)
All the employes are very knowledgable and friendly and won’t hesitate to answer any questions you may have. Not once have I ever felt like JUST a customer. They don’t just blow you off and ask for money. They greet you warmly and have no problems sitting down and discussing any questions or concerns you may have.
Also The owner Jason is a straight forward and honest guy. Really knowledgeable and really helpful. His shop isn’t like most. If you need something he tells you. If you don’t need it he tells you. Very straight forward.
I’ve never had this shop try to sell me something I didn’t need. And when something comes up unexpected he calls, explains and gets the job done and FAST!
I’ve had nothing but great experiences here and will be coming back again and again, I recommend anyone who asks for a good honest repair shop and I’ll tell the good people on Unilocal the same thing!

I came here to get my car worked on.
Jason and his crew are a great group of guys, They are honest and straight forward.
They are very knowledgeable and I trust them with all my vehicles.

This is the shop i only get serviced for my 94 miata since 2013. I drive everyday to commute and bring it to trackday sometimes. They are professionally taking care of my car. They diagnosed and fixed all issues that i had. Also, they always gave me great suggestions to upgrade for track use. I’ve got serviced so many things from the first inspection after i bought my car to putting new built engine in now.
This is the shop you looking for if you care about your car.

I highly recommend this shop for any maintenance, repairs and/​or track preparation. I have had all three done on my car and have always come away impressed with the shops integrity and professionalism.
The staff is very friendly and the shop itself is immaculately clean. They even provide a widescreen TV, playstation, xbox and product display room so customers will have something to do while they wait.
SBG will always work within your budget and will never suggest any unnecessary repairs. Jason, the owner, is very honest and knowledgeable. He will usually walk you through any services that need to be done and will bring up safety concerns if ever any are found. They will even give small suggestions on how to better maintain your car.
The staff of SBG have gone above and beyond for me many times before. Whether it be fitting me in last minute for track preparation or sourcing out parts for repairs on short notice. If they can do it, they will. I don’t think I’ve ever received anything close to the level of service that SBG provides at any other garage.
There is no better place to take your car.

Anything you need for your miata, they got it, jason and the whole staff is very much professional with their work, got my alignment today, and i have little knowledge about alignments so jess helped me out with the adjustments that would suit my driving style and baaam, shit is on point breh, oh and thanks for the ride to work jess! Hhehe! Overall, this shop is one of a kind. I would refer everyone else here, no matter what car you drive

I live 45 minutes away (without traffic) from SBGarage, and I always make the drive without hesitation when my car needs work.
Being a car enthusiast I have trust issues with mechanic shops, but ever since my first visit here I have always been treated extremely well and paid extremely fair prices for the quality of repair work performed. The shop is very clean and easy to get to from highway 101. Plus the waiting area is great, they have an Xbox and playstation you can play while you wait, assuming you aren’t busy browsing their wonderful parts selection in the show room.
I will continue to recommend my friends to SBGarage, bring my family’s, and my own cars in for the most menial of services to high end performance work. Jason and his team are true enthusiasts that provide the highest quality work per dollar spent, plain and simple.

So let me tell you a story have you ever met a honest mechanic before I didn’t believe in them until I strolled into this place Jason is a straight up guy. I came in with a 91 Miata with like one metric ton of crap problems like electrical it was throwing sparks every where, suspension was saggier then an elderly woman’s breasts. And let me tell you about how slow this thing was it was like 0 – 60 in negative 30 seconds ridiculous!!!
So after Jason took me for a drive and we talked about my goals for my aspiring track driver career. We came to the conclusion that we needed to fix this rolling pos. whatever I needed he helped me along the way installed a turbo kit witch makes my car so fast people can’t see it. Fortune auto coilovers that’s me out perform Ferraris on the mountain runs. David the master electrical guru that he is fixed every single thing related to theory of the passing of electrons threw wires (electricity). Jason even put a roll bar in the car so I wouldn’t smash my head in just incase. And don’t let me forget about the super wide sticky tires and amazing aero that has so much downforce if I rolled the car I’m pretty sure it would take off into flight.
But in all seriousness these guys know what they are doing on any car you bring it if they don’t have it they can get it for you. So if you are reading this and thinking about taking your car over I highly suggest you do and leave it in the hands of some great honest mechanics!!!

If you’re trying to find a garage that will respect you as a person and not just look at you as a quick $$$ then SBGarage is your place. They have everything you need for your Miata and SO MUCH MORE!!! Whatever parts you want/​need, they will have it for you. Whatever service you need, they will take care of it. SBGarage takes care of your needs whether it is full track/​race builds or daily drivers. When here, go check out the lounging area and the showroom. They have a new alignment rack and the place is so clean. I cannot emphasize that enough. I DO NOT trust dirty ass shops and places that look like a junkyard. You can honestly tell the awesome work they do by the way they keep everything in the shop clean and organized. The greatest people running and working at this garage. No Joke. Most professional shop I’ve been too.
Jason (the owner) will give you an outline and an overview on what services need to be done, your options, different prices, suggestions, and will never pressure you into anything. You can tell that he’s honest and really cares about his costumers.
David (the mechanic) Very nice guy and takes care of business when needed. I had some random questions about my car and he answered it promptly, honestly, and explained everything in detail. BTW — He also has great taste in music (wonder what Pandora station he listens too)
Everyone else at SBGarage is amazing too. I can’t say enough good things about them. They really try to make me feel like I’m right at home. For the few times I been there I actually have good conversations with the staff. They laugh, talk, chitchat, and just try to relate with you. Awesome fricken place.
I drive an Lexus IS300 and I always get my services done here. I can trust them with my car and I found out that Jason actually used to own an IS300. The relationship with the staff keeps on growing! I have gotten new tires here, brakes, oil changes, transmission flush, and other maintenance/​services.
DO NOT LOOK FOR ANY OTHER GARAGES OR SHOPS. BRING YOUR CAR TO SBGARAGE.

Jason the owner, David, Ivan and Mark who are the mechanics at this shop are extremely knowledgable. Having some sort of electrical problem? David will find that problem and fix it. Can’t seem to see why your car doesn’t drive fine? Everyone in the back will put together their ideas and get the problem solved for you.
To sum it all up these guys are here to help you out.
Mechanical work is great here and I would recommend anyone to go here to get work done. All those nitpicky small problems included SBGarage will get it fixed!

Brought my car in (2003 Subaru WRX) another time to have a huge work order done, the dreaded Subaru 105k service. With me starting a medic internship out in Stockton so I knew my car would be gaining miles quick and would be dealing with that nasty central valley heat everyday. I opted to come back here and have them do a huge job for me.

The car drives fantastic, took it down to LA a couple weeks later before I started the internship and the car had zero issues. I used to leak a tad bit of coolant and that has gone away also. Very happy with the work completed. Again would recommend everyone to get work done here. Not only that, they were able to beat competitor prices!!!
To add on, Jess who is at the front is more than friendly, has a lot of seat time at the track and also with gokarting. This shop has so much knowledge floating around, if one person does not have an answer, someone else must have it.
I have also seen that they have a new alignment rack! Guess I’ll be back there to get my alignment checked!
All in all SBGarage is a very well rounded auto mechanic shop. From scheduled maintenances, preventative maintenance, or performance enhancements this is a great place to go. A lot of their store front items may be for Miatas but they were able to get me all the items I needed for a Subaru. That says something, they do not focus on just one car, its all types. It’s not just some speed shop around the corner either they do everything A-​Z.

I have a love-​hate relationship with my 1990 Mazda Miata.
When it runs strong, it is reasonable to say that I love it. It gets me from Point A to Point B, whether it be rain or shine, to work across the bay or the McDonald’s drive-​through down the street, or even to the race track or mountain passes for a little sports car fun. Needless to say, it is a vital part of my being.
It is equally reasonable to say that, otherwise, any strife the car gives me causes immense stress, frustration, and well, a thorough hatred for the vehicle. This is how I felt about my poor Miata since I made the mistake of purchasing it a few years back. Unfortunately for me, I had selected a lemon as my first car, and had the pleasure of experiencing the hunt for a suitable mechanic immediately thereafter.
After hopping from trusted mechanic friends to recommended shops to other trusted friends, and a good several thousand dollars less in my wallet, I found myself in a pit of despair. Really, car? You’re still having issues? I had gotten extensive engine work, replaced the brake system, replaced the clutch system, and various electrical issues resolved, just to name a few. A year later– the same issues recurred.
That’s when I found SB Garage. I had actually heard about this shop awhile back, and knew they specialized in Miatas among other cars, but had neglected to visit them due to seriously developed trust issues. My poor heart– or maybe just my bank account– couldn’t take the fear of failure again.
I’m glad I took the chance.
I went in the first time with a simple, straightforward task– to replace my radiator and hoses. Without knowing much about the history of my car, they immediately were able to diagnose many other problems on the spot (all of which had been poorly worked on in the past). They *did not* pressure me to get additional work done on the car with them, and instead gave me some great tips on maintenance and an excellent explanation of what/​why those things were happening. Yay, knowledge is power!
When I came to pick up the car, they noted that there were some other dangerous things wrong with my car, and they fixed them up at no charge! Talk about being concerned for the safety of your customers! They tightened my belts and crankshaft (which were apparently terribly loose), bolted in my rear sway bar (which was dangling from two bolts), found my A/​C leak (which I had only mentioned in passing but wasn’t asking them to address), and helped me flush all of the rust from my coolant system (a known ongoing problem for me since I bought the car).
I was impressed. When was the last time your mechanic went above and beyond the call of duty? These guys were professional, quick, patient (a big plus for someone like me who knows very little about cars), and most importantly– they knew their shit.
Since that first visit, I’ve been back a multitude of times to fix all of the other issues the past owners and mechanics left me with. Today, I love my car. It runs flawlessly.
