Our staff of well seasoned licensed physical therapists provide examination and treatment for most orthopaedic injuries and surgeries. Treatment is provided in a friendly atmosphere. Exercise programs and manual hands-on techniques are selected specifically for you and your orthopaedic problem.
Coastside Physical Therapy is connected with most Preferred Provider Plans (PPO), Trust Funds, Workers’ Comp Insurances, and many Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO). Medicare is accepted. Discounts are available for those without insurance coverage and pay at the time of service. We pass the savings from our cost of billing and collection on to you.
History
Established in 1980.
Coastside was started in 1980 on the California Coast in Pacifica with a branch in South San Francisco. In 1999 a branch was added in Half Moon Bay.
Meet the Business Owner
Rich J.
Business Owner
Originally from Pennsylvania, I graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a BS of Science. The next couple of years were spent in the Peace Corp teaching science and English as a second language in Ethiopia.
I earned my Physical Therapy Post-Baccalaueate Degree from Ohio State University. My first internship was in orthopaedic outpatient care and acute orthopaedic hospital care in Lansing, MI at the Lansing General Hospital. Then moving to Portland, OR, the second internship was in acute hospital care at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland.
Upon obtaining my license in Oregon, my first employment was with a private practice group. The focus was on outpatient orthopaedic care.
1977 was my move to San Francisco. Here I did skilled nursing care and outpatient orthopaedic care. In 1980 I took over the practices in Pacifica and South San Francisco in which I had been working.
