Dive Bar in South SF. what?!? I’ve lived in SF for a decade and never knew about this place. Let’s just say that 2 generous shots of Jameson is $ 10. Worth ever penny I’d say. Went her this past Saturday, and right away got a parking spot right at front. The crowd is a mix of people, all laid back and seems to be enjoying themselves. People order pizzas from outside and brings them right in without an issue. a good place for a good night.

«This isn’t the city,» the bartender said as he handed back one of the two 10s I gave him, along with a 5. I sometimes forget that San Francisco kinda sucks on multiple levels, so going to Molloy’s was a necessary reminder that you can get good drinks at normal prices.
The environment was great and everyone was super friendly. The bartender treated us to additional shots when the Warriors won. He also treated us (and himself, let’s admit) to songs on the jukebox. I wasn’t drunk enough to start singing, and even stone sober I could never sing R. Kelly’s Ignition (Remix), but my inadequacies as a human being doesn’t stop Molloy’s Tavern from being one of the best bars I’ve been to, if for no other reason than its humility.

This is, hands down, the best bar I’ve been to, ever.
The weekend daytime bartender is the best. Pat remembers us every time we come in, even if it has been 6 months since our last visit. He’s friendly, funny, and knows how to tend bar!
Drinks are good, prices are great, and the crowd is always happy, even though we’re right across the street from a cemetery.

Met a friend here for a couple beers and billiards. Super friendly crowd and bartenders. Very large bar and space with seats. And you can play any song on their digital jukebox… a huge plus! Had way more fun than expected and will definitely be back :)

Attended a private event here and WOW! If those walls could talk!!! Still confused as to when established as like many places that had a bar in the 1900’s, were also brothels hence the Molloy Hotel. The immigration of the Irish to that specific area and the building of HOLY CROSS Cemetery across the way. The walls are full of newspaper articles back to the start of Wars, Kennedy’s election and Nixon’s resignation. Some interesting artifacts from election buttons, presentation to the President of Ireland, alcohol bottles that would probably kill ya if you had a shot from the prohibition era. Just lot’s of history. Not a super large place but it’s homey and the customers are diverse. Can’t think of a better location if you got a loved one buried across the way.
I don’t think there is anywhere in the Bay Area that you can still get a pint and a shot of Jameson’s for $ 8. Well one bartender charged $ 8 and the other $ 9. Either way it’s a deal of the times. Definitely a piece of history of the area and a fun time!

Nice place to come to. it definitely feels like your neighbourhood bar. Friendly people and friendly bartenders. They try to make you feel at home and comfortable.

My coworkers and I went after work. The employees didn’t greet or serve us. We stood at the bar maybe ten minutes, nobody said anything while they help others. I don’t know maybe we went on the wrong night because we heard such great things about the place.

I’ve been going to Molloy’s for about fifteen years. I don’t go that frequently, a few times a month, but always have a hoot when I’m there. My favorite bartender in the world, Pat Lane, works Thursdays through Sundays, and the bar is never quiet when he’s behind the helm of the gorgeous old bar. You truly have a full on bar of spirits and beers. The crowd varies from daytime to evening, but there’s plenty to do and to see inside this family run business. Not quite a dive bar, but has that old neighborhood feeling about it. Everybody knows everybody, and they’re always willing to free up a stool at the bar for you with a smile and a drunken brogue. Molloy’s is a great place off the beaten path, where you are bound to get a great drink and meet someone interesting!

A great hidden Irish bar in Colma. Very low key but if all you’re looking for is a good pint of Guinness without the hipster crowd, then this is your place. Plenty of space to sit in the first floor, so you can be at the bar or have some privacy.
For me personally, it’s a great little conclave to get a Guinness while sketching or writing. There is wi-​fi, but really no need since the expertly poured Guinness requires one’s attention. :)

Had a bang up time at this place. Played pool and shot the shit with everyone. My cowboy hat and I love this place. This is coming from an Oregonian.

Family bar. Friendly people. Good prices. Love Molloy’s!

Ok let it be known this is the place for liquid refreshments. Professional staff, good drinks, and a pleasant group of regulars.

Malloy’s is a cool, out of the way dive, The bartenders were great and drinks and prices were fair. Even though it’s a locals hangout everybody made us feel welcome. On Saturday evenings they have an old timers banjo band playing — a real hoot!

Very intriguing, across from a cemetary, ping pong table inside and good tunes? I didn’t have a drink so I won’t give five stars yet. I’ll try something next time!

Always a fun time whenever at Molloys. A regular on Monday nights, going into Tuesday (muesday). Bartenders are friendly and welcoming.
Local bar facing the cemetery might seem depressing but usually fun with a group of friends. If you go alone, there are fun and friendly people who you can talk to and get to know.
Cheap and great service. Pool table, ping pong/​beer pong table, dart boards, photo booth, pinball machine, multiple tvs, and a juke box (newer machine and up to date with a bunch of good songs).
Hands down my go to pub/​bar/​tavern.

Ah South City! I love Malloy’s. I love the friends I made there, I love the memories, the late night walks to the train, passed the cemeteries and abandoned church.
People know each other here. It’s a place that holds a particular place in my heart.
The Old Fashions I had here, the shots, the cider, ah, I’m choked up. I will always return, I will plan my stay around at least a couple of nights here.
It’s a charming place full of history. It enveloped me in its intoxicatingly nostalgic 100 year old air. Too much would be wrong, but I feel like building my life around living in its proximity. Maybe one day.

It’s a neighborhood place, with the old wooden bar, a bumper sticker that reads: «Great to be Alive in Colma», flags for all our military on the ceiling, posters, pictures of the area decades ago, nostalgia. Guiness on tap… I went in alone, felt just fine, no hassles, and everyone was happy enough.
As I remember, this was the place to raise a pint to the recently departed. Haven’t come in a long time, so thought I must visit. I picked a weeknight, early, and was happy to be there.
Theres no food, so if you are planning a group thing, talk to Owen. He can help with catering or whatever you need. I really felt like I could relax, play pool or talk with firends. Next time, I’ll make sure to bring ‘em.
