Image Auto Body & Mechanic Repair

Recommended here by a friend, and Phil is an incredibly nice guy, sent in my 2005 STi to have extensive fiberglass bumper repair and repaint.
Don’t really want to repeat and ramble, so let’s just say that I am so satisfied with the work that I have no problem driving the awful one hour rush hour commute to go see Phil for all future work that needs to be done. Will definitely recommend to all, and everyone who works there are very pleasant people.

This place was referred to me by my father in law. I got into an accident and Phil took great care of me. I felt comfortable talking to him as well as the guys that work there. They are nice people with reasonable prices and will keep you updated on the progress of your car. I recommend going here for any services you need on your vehicle.

This is the only place I go to when I need to get my car fixed. Phil will not try to rip you off. His estimates are always lower than the insurance estimates and they do a pretty good job. What people don’t know about this place is that they also have an in-​house mechanic, so if you have a restoration project it all can be done in one place. The mechanic is pretty good, too.

These guys are super nice, I use them a lot for fixing problems and for long term parking and they are really nice and not expensive at all, and sodas are only 75 cents, YAY!

This place is the best Own by Phillip and he’s a manager and the owner are run by brothers and pretty much to do everything from mechanic the bodywork to paint job and they do excellent work and a guaranteed to work and very friendly so if I were you I would go to the body shop and get your car fixed for any reason you have any problem with them and again original price and one charge you anything extra for anything else that you need a little fix or anything just bring to them for a look anyway so just ask alright neer hurt have a good day

Family owned body shop. I’ve had my car repairs done with Image Auto Body and they do an amazing job of making sure that my car is in top shape after necessary repairs are made. I highly recommend them for your car repair and maintenance needs.

Excellent and affordable service. I brought my vehicle in for a tuneup and had it out in about 2 hours! I also needed new tires, Phil and Mike pointed me in the right direction. They explain throughly what needs or doesn’t need to be done to your vehicle and why. I’ll definitely be referring them to my friends. Keep up the great work!

My car has never looked better. It almost looked like new. They did an amazing job on my acura rdx. Phil and Alan are so nice. They help me out and called and checked in periodically to update me on my car. I only come to this place.

Phil painted one of the rarest classics in the US: a 1965 Jensen CV-​8 MkIII. the result was stunning. Right after re-​assembling, the car was placed at the Greystone Concours in Beverly Hills… and won the award for ‘outstanding restoration’.
My next classic is on its way to Phil, a Superformance Cobra.

I brought my 1967 Camaro in for body work and new paint. My car needed a lot of work done (lots of rust and bad bondo patches).
I am soooo happy with the finished product! The body work and paint is PERFECT! Its as if I got back a brand new car! :)
I went with Red Hot (GM) for the paint color. Phil was very helpful and informative, communication was great, and he let me swing by the shop a few times to check on the progress of my car (and to take pics too). It was really nice to see the evolution of the restoration in person. I’m extremely happy with Image Auto Body = A+++ !

CHECK THE PARTS THEY PUT ON YOUR CAR!
I took in my Subaru STI to this place after my car was hit on the axel. It took them over a month to fix my car but it has never been the same. They did not replace the bent sway bar, and they replaced the axel with a substandard WRX axel. They charged me up the ass as well!
My advice…
Check all parts that are replaced (especially if you are expecting high quality parts)
Do not expect it to be done fast.

I interviewed several shops before I selected Image Autobody to repair my Lexus. My choice was perfect! My experience with Image Autobody was excellent. Phil Weaver addressed all of my questions and concerns, and dealt with the repairs expediently and reasonably. Phil took the time to carefully explain my options, including those that would save me money. I highly recommend Image Autobody. This is an honest shop that does beautiful work. The 5 Star rating is well deserved!

This place is great! Phil is awesome, he’s a very honest and professional guy. They stand behind their work. I’ve brought in several cars and have recommended them to my friends and families for many years… They come all the way from North bay and South Bay just because the shop is very reputable and they do an amazing job and back it up. Recently having some more work done because some paint from the bumper was flaking off. The paint problem has to do with a paint company and their generation of formulation, so they’re warrantying the work at no cost.
For anyone considering work to be done, they are an honest company and PLEASE walk-​in, swing by and check it out for yourselves. It has always been a positive experience and Phil and team will work with you to get what you need and that you walk out a happy customer.

I’ve been going here for quite a while (as needed) and just now thought to write a review. I love the shop owner/​customer experience I get here. It’s unlike any other shop that I’ve been to because most don’t listen to the customer and rather side with the insurance companies. I’ve dealt with a few shops up and down the peninsula and nothing compares to the results I’ve gotten from here.

Followed Mike Weaver from his old job to here (when you get great customer service, you hang on to that) and just had a fender replaced and door repainted on a 2005 Highlander. I was worried that new repairs would never match 8 year old paint but they did an awesome, super clean job and even did the back door to ensure the difference was not evident. Car was so clean when I picked it up I can’t tell it’s been repaired.
Car looks wonderful and I’m so happy I had Image do it. (In the past I actually had to have paint redone on a different car because dust in new paint is not acceptable.)

Image auto body is the best. They did an amazing job on my car. I had someone me and I asked my friend where he had his car fixed, referred me to Image. Now my car looks brand new. Image did a fantastic job and the staff is so knowledgable and nice. Highly recommend

Awesome Body Shop!
I was involved in a little Fender Bender with my Subaru STI. Found these guys on help and I am happy to say I am 150% pleased with there work. Very detail oriented and even went thru my vehicle mechanical to make sure nothing was effected by the accident. He went at bat for me with the Insurance and got everything I needed to get my car back to Original working condition.
Paint is perfect and the hardwork and dedication shows on the quality!..

3 years later Mr. Weaver, and more lies. This could’ve ended peacefully, but I don’t appreciate you verbally bashing me and slandering my name then apologizing to your customers making yourself look good. Real professional sir.
#1. You rectified my situation with a refund? Wrong, get it right, I was given a PARTIAL refund after legally going after you. Now, my hood still looks good so that’s fair. I paid $ 250 for a re-​finished hood and a half ass trunk lid job. At the end of the day this is fair, but you still lied so this is how the story goes.
#2. I live my life bad mouthing people on Unilocal with bad reviews? This is 1 of 3 for a total of 15. That’s uhhhhh 80% positive and 20% negative? Uhhhh hold on let me check my math. Divide the 15, o. k yes do you get 20% also?
#3. Stealing from people?! Me? Sir, you tried stealing from me, forcing me to utilize the bureaucratic resources at my disposal.
P.S I am a pre-​law student, not a «scam artist who lives off Unilocal bad mouthing businesses and stealing from people». Really sir? Alright.
#4. Shall I upload a photo of the blank invoice you gave me? Yes, I still have it Mr. Weaver.
You refunded me because you were «kind»? Wouldn’t a «kind» business owner do the job correctly, monetarily swallow his mistake (or lie), and make the customer happy? Finish the trunk correctly, FROM THE SPOILER DOWN AS PROMISED, THIS IS THE NATURE OF MY BAD REVIEW, instead of just a piece of it. If you were truly the kind and honest business owner you claim to be, then you would have VOLUNTARILY offered to partially refund me on a job that was incomplete. Had you done so, this review wouldn’t exist.
Moreover, I am not sure about the rationale behind protocol in regards to giving a business entity, who is under legal scrutiny, a choice to refund someone. Thus, whether or not you refunded me because you are «kind» or because you know you lied to me shall remain unknown.
If you knew you were honest, why would you refund me? If my «accusations of you as a business man are false» why didn’t you challenge me sir? I am a bit baffled by that one, its your call fellow Unilocalers.
Hmmmmm. So I failed to mention that my trunk was done incorrectly? O. k so I just had you re-​do my trunk because I’m made of money and nothing is wrong with it? The air bubbles were not prominently visible? O. k sir.
Regardless, shouldn’t a business man of your stature, that you claim to be for 20 plus years, be able to recognize faulty body work to begin with AND prior to quoting a customer on a price? You knew exactly what was wrong with my trunk because I showed you where the bubbles were. If it was your intent to only REPAIR THE SMALL AREA WHERE THE BUBBLES WERE, and then hope I wouldn’t notice, then you should have said so. I would have left immediately.
Furthermore and most importantly, there is STILL a visible circle in the center of my trunk where you ONLY repaired and repainted the section we discussed, contrary to what we agreed on REPETITIVELY, FROM THE SPOILER DOWN. DID I EVER MENTION THAT THIS IS WHAT MR. WEAVER TOLD ME ON THE PHONE PRIOR TO PICKING UP MY CAR? That he did INDEED finish my trunk from the spoiler down. Wait, did I mention FROM THE SPOILER DOWN?
Did everyone get that? HE SAID FROM THE SPOILER DOWN. O. k I think we all got it now, FROM THE SPOILER DOWN.
Yes, wait did I mention THIS IS THE NATURE OF MY BAD REVIEW, he was probably hoping I didn’t notice that HE DID NOT REPAIR MY TRUNK FROM THE SPOILER DOWN as promised and I guess hoped I wouldn’t notice.
Are you going to further LIE on your «rebuttle», wait is my spell check on, by claiming that you DID NOT tell me you would shoot and repair my trunk from the spoiler down, spoiler inclusively, and then lie to me on the phone hoping I wouldn’t notice?
Again, I would have let this review go if I didn’t have to stare at the work you tried to sneak by me each and every time I wash my car.
Well I suppose if it wasn’t for consumers like me, then more and more people would fall victim to fautly businesses. Therefore, I suppose you stand correct sir in saying that I am «stealing». I am guilty of stealing consumers away with fair warnings about where and where not to conduct business and toss their hard earned money. Meh’
