Asked to split a 10 and they wouldn’t help out. Great business to help out travelers eh?

Good cappuccino when they can get it right. Seems each employee has a different idea of what a ‘insert drink name here’ is. Inconsistent but great. When it’s done right

Equator is an outfit from San Rafael that sells boutique higher end coffee. For years they’ve supplied the French Laundry/Bouchon with their own blends of coffee. It was surprising that they had a main stream kiosk in T2 at SFO. but hey im all for quality in places where you dont expect any. Didn’t feel like getting my usual coffee so I opted for some iced tea with my lunch. Fairly solid. Not as good as their coffee but still way better than most drink options around

i know this is a pretty cray statement, but i think i had the best latte i’ve ever had at equator… maybe it was because my airport coffee expectations are so low but DANGGG it was good. so refreshing to drink actual quality coffee instead of that starbucks shit. wish i flew through SFO more!!!

So I’m living the life of a consultant for the summer, and my homebase airport is SFO. I find the incessant and mind-numbing travel somewhat bearable because SFO is so damn nice-looking. And clean. And doesn’t smell like stale urine, unlike 85% of SF. All kidding aside, Equator lattes provide me with a brief moment of comfort & solace in this sprawling concrete jungle and I am grateful for it. One can only ingest so many 16-ouncers of Peet’s vanilla latte before going nuts on a sugar rush and Equator is my new coffee destination while at SFO. The baristas are actually not real baristas at all(or maybe they are, not sure), but cashiers at the high-end convenience store that houses Equator, Napa Farms Market. But maybe the powers-that-be at Equator passed along a secret fail-proof coffee-brewing methodology to the kids at the counter because damn, I’ve never had a bad cup of latte yet from them. Smooth, rich, strong, and roasty. Perfection!

Nice soy chai latte, but they don’t do 20oz cups… … and I ordered mine in their largest(16 oz) but was given a measly 12oz cup… … and the kid behind the counter was more compelled to argue that I had said ‘small’ than to correct his mistake… … then I asked for a straw and said he’d have to charge me for it… …I repeated my request in disbelief and he came around to pointing at another counter where straws were available… … sadly, this was not the first time ther Terminal 2 Equator burnt me as I’ve found that ordering the 4 pack of Kara’s Cupcakes as advertised is a trigger word for crab-ass employees. In Sumatran summation, I’m drawn to Equator for the great logo artwork and my hankering for some caffeine, but almost always leave wishing it were kosher to dip my hand back into the tip jar and take back my dollar.

Woohoo! As crunchy granola as it gets! The company I work for helped SFO with the rebirth of Terminal 2 and one of our directors was in charge of the concessions. They hit a homer with this place. It was so cool to walk through security at 730AM, put my shoes and belt back on and walk into this terminal. I don’t get down with the Evil Mermaid, but I had resigned myself to drinking Starbucks, b/c I just figured that the terminal would have 6 of them! We were in dire need of caffeine and stumbled into Napa Farms Market(I think that’s the name) where they were serving up some super strong, delicious coffee, but the name was foreign to us. After a google search and reading up, it turns out this company is a locally owned, female owned business that supports organic farmers and fair trade practices. Not only is the coffee the bomb, but they are saving the world, one cup of Joe at a time.

Wow! This is awesome. Part of a larger sustainable food market at the beginning of Terminal 2. The cappuccino I order was impressive for San Francisco and even more impressive that it’s in the airport. They also serve pastries and natural organic snacks, chocolate and best of all KARA’S CUPCAKES! Yes, now you can get delicious coffee, a Kara’s cupcake and fly across the country.
