This place sucks
They had 4 movers that knew absolutely nothing about moving from an apt to storage
I’m was moving a 2 rm apt to storage these 4 guys took 4 in half his
When they got to the storageunit they put all the small stuff in first commen sense says to put big stuff in first then the small stuff
So @ the end they just shoved the big stuff in to make it fit & broke alot of my stuff
I’ve called them to complain asked to speak to a Manger I called for 2 weeks that I needed a manager to come out & see the crapy job that was done as of today I’m still waiting
I’m would not recommend this company for moving
Their very unprofessional & don’t stand behind their work I rated as a 1 but really that’s even to much for them

Please don’t use this company. I was contracted to them by a different company «The Moving Company» and didnt have time to look them up before my move. I got full value insurance for some items and they packed the items in a way that voided the full insurance which I bought THROUGH THEIR COMPANY! so they knew how it had to be wrapped.
The manager Vicky is a total scammer/​liar. It took a week longer to get my stuff and she kept telling me it was coming or wouldnt respond to my emails.
Many of my boxes arrived grossly smashed and I was missing boxes/​items too. I had to go through a whole process to try to claim damages for the neglected items and they offered me $ 22. My move cost over $ 10,000 with this company and they offered me $ 22 for the stuff they smashed and lost.
And the best part is that once my stuff came they stopped responding to my emails and claimed I didnt notify them of missing objects because I didnt list it upon delivery.
They have no morals, charge ridiculous fees, and wont take good care of your stuff.
They also go by Moving Pro. Avoid that company too, its the same people.

Be careful with this company because their leader of the moving pack is a major con artist! I had such a bad experience that I didn’t even want to look back or put it all in writing until now that I am ready to move again. It’s unfortunate because the rest of his crew seemed nice but I will tell you what… he had no idea what kinda woman he was dealing with when I called him out on all of his $#!* & even called the corporate office to override his con! I am a professional but I’m also street smart and I fought back. I even had to get mad in his face to get him to back down and back off! Talk about a volatile egotistical moron who thought he could dominate me in a conversation about what a liar he was & called him out over and over again. He thought I would have backed down in fear but it only made my furry roar! I made him back down! I learned how to tackle years ago and was ready to lay him out! He realized he should have never gone there with me. Very unprofessional, TRIES to dominate customers, woman, con them by pulling every stop and has the nerve to keep going after you are going head to head with this idiot! What was I fighting for? A difference between paying about a $ 1,000 & $ 450. I paid the lesser ;)! Moving is stressful enough then to deal with these yahoos!!!

Unfortunately i stand with so many other victims because i didnt do my homework. I am on the road and was attempting to set up a company to do the move and i was sold the deal on the phone. It sounded good and i was in a situation with no luxury to find someone else at the last minute. The estimate was double what i was given. They took a long time intentionally removing one box at a time rather than taking a dolly and moving many boxes at once. I had maybe 100 boxes tops all packed and taped. I am missing a bag of expensive power tools and perhaps more. I noticed one mover attempting to take my packing materials and slip them into his box of materials no doubt with the intentions of using them. The tools that i am missing would come in handy for a mover. They brought no tools. Not even a razor for tape. The dollys were old and no straps so things were often falling off. Stuff was tossed and had it not been for my own efforts packing and protecting my stuff i dare say id have had a disaster and a 3 day event. I had a 2 bedroom apartment with average amount of furniture but good deal of junk boxed up from 20yrs of marriage and ten years in one unit. They were friendly and polite at all times for this i can credit them. As for the rest well frankly im feeling pretty stupid for not looking for these reviews ahead of time. A painful lesson that cost me an extra 800 bucks.
I believe they intentionally did things in order to stretch out the time required to move and pack. I am a truck driver and i deal daily with lumpers and warehouse personnel and several times a week see 1000s of boxes removed counted and each box hand moved from one pallet to another. The process with a few persons is usually a few hours. No such sophistication was required for my property since 98% of it all was boxed, taped, labeled, stacked and ready to move. My wife spent weeks in advance packing and prepping.
Basically if you are moving dead animals, garbage or waste of some sort they would be perfect and unlimited budgets so id say state and government moves which they claimed they had contracts. So unfortunately i can not recommend them for anything of value.

AIR 1 MOVING AND STORAGE are thieves! Please do not use this company! Save yourself a horrific experience.
They delivered my goods 6 days late and with a delivery window of 4 hours they arrived 45 minutes late!
They broke 3 pieces of my furniture and lost the screws for 2 other pieces of furniture that they didn’t need to disassemble in the first place.
They lost (aka STOLE) a box of books, CDs, DVDs etc. Some of the books were priceless to me.
I wish I had read the Unilocal reviews first. The whole experience has been incredibly distressing. I’m going to report them to the BBB.
Please do not use this company. You will have a dreadful experience!

If I could give them 0 stars I would, and let me start by saying READ THESE REVIEWS BEFORE HIRING THEM, YOU WILL THANK US! This is the worse moving company on the face of the earth and here is my experience.
My father dealt with this move and booking and they lured him in with a 1600 dollar estimate, we were moving from california back to florida and our first move was around 3950, in california we threw away alot, left a lot of furniture to the people at the apartment building we were living in and had half of what we started with figuring the 1600 was justified. The movers came, and they loved the word estimate, they couldn’t give us an actual price, everything was an «estimate» not to mention they charged 75 dollars for stairs, and since some of the stuff was in storage downstairs 1 level down that was another 75 dollars. Although the whole time they used the elevator, for the extra 150, I should have told them the elevators were off limits since I’m paying for their use of stairs. Finally after everything was in their truck they finally agreed to a guaranteed price with the exclusion of the truck being a certain distance from the destination and if their were stairs which we already stated, yes, there are. The price we signed to was 2275 and they left figuring it was on it’s way to florida as were we.
Seven days later.
My father and I are in atlanta on our road trip back to florida giving the driver plenty of time to reach the destination. Wanting to plan for Isaac, and the rest of our trip to make it in time we called up Air 1 Moving to find out when it will be delivered to make sure we were there with plenty of time to prepare both our apartment to receive everything, the apartment office, etc. I like to be fully prepared in everything that I do. When we finally got a hold of someone, Vicki, she told us not only has our stuff not shipped yet to the destination, but we still owed me over 2400 dollars. Now we already gave them 20% starting, 40% at pickup… where did this 2400 come from? Well she claims that the driver who we met in California made a mathematical error and that 2275 was impossible a price and if we brought them to court, the court would obviously side with them. Strange logic being that we had a signed guaranteed agreement that minus stairs and accessibility, that the final price could not exceed 2275. After much arguing, she said she would look into it and that our stuff would ship the 1^st of september and be there between the 7 – 9.
Another Seven days later.
We are now in Orlando, Fl staying at the Royal Plaza hotel enjoying that we are finally home. We call up Air 1 Moving again, now we are talking to Adele, making sure we know when our things will arrive since the window is between the 7 – 9 of September and they’ve made it very clear that if we are not there to greet the driver, it will be an extra 200 dollars for every hour he waits. Adele, says sorry but your things have not shipped yet and she doesn’t know where we had this notion that it would be delivered and that we still owed over 2000 dollars and that Vicki would get back to us. By the way, they love the term, we will call you right back, call you right back means you’ll have to keep calling them till you get the person that said was going to call you. Also, if they tell you a few days, it means they are buying time for themselves to hold off your delivery for as long as possible till you are extremely desperate and have to agree to anything that they ask for… or you’ll be sleeping on the floor of your apartment, or house. Anyways, our hotel stay went from 10 days to now 18 days and we can’t extend anymore for that deal so Adele, finally tells us that our things will ship as soon as they can and will arrive between the 15 – 17 of September. Good because our check out for the hotel is the 18^th and will have no place to sleep, my father is 71, don’t think the floor will be too good on his back.
Days go by still aruging about the price and out of their nonexistant hearts agree on 3100 dollars, stairs included and being that we checked with the people at our apartment complex about movers, 18 wheelers, right path to take, etc. Accessibility wasn’t an issue, like I said, I am always prepared.
Day of the move…-thunder crashes and evil music–
The driver gets here and we are leading him in to the complex and just before the gate goes, I can’t make that turn… at this point we’re going, what are you talking about hundreds of other trucks and movers have come in and out without a sweat, what’s the problem? Well, it could damage the truck or I could jump a curb or hit a tree branch, I just don’t want to do it. Now that was the last straw and my father and I blow up at this guy saying, we’ve talked to everyone, the office manager of the complex, the sales people, other people who have moved in and the head of maintenance and they all said, «18-​wheeler, no problem, we get them all the time.»

Wow, why did I not check Unilocal before booking these guys? They somehow have an A rating with the BBB!
— They were so UNCLEAR. First they said 5 – 14 days to get your stuff to you. We set up a date for what we thought was delivery– August 4. THEN they said, No, we have 5 – 14 days for your stuff to LEAVE San Francisco. August 4 is when your stuff will leave. WHAT? I got my stuff over a month after I packed it all up. Yea.
— The charges. Again, so unclear! When we set up this company, we asked them to include the TVs in the price. They said they were already included so that was great… or so we thought. When they got there, they told us not only were the TVs not included, but they would have to charge us for wrapping and boxing EVERYTHING even though a majority was already done. So we paid over $ 1200 for them to wrap up our remaining items– great. We tried to call the lady we originally spoke with but she was conveniently unavailable.
–Lastly, when we obtained a price over the phone, we estimated the amount of stuff we had & they quoted us accordingly. When they got there, they said even if we had less stuff than we estimated, the original quote would stay the same. That makes no sense! I should have known from that point that this company was the worst.
–The delivering driver actually COMPLAINED that we did not tip him enough. Excuse me? Your company already scammed us out of so much, how dare you complain?!
We THOUGHT we had picked a great company due to their great quote and BBB rating. But once all was said and done, we paid more than we were quoted with other companies. Our first time moving was horrible so we did our research this time around… no luck. Even worse this time! We somehow paid MORE this time even though we had about half the stuff. Do your research & get EVERYTHING in writing!!!

I am giving one star because my stuff made it to my new home and because none of my kitchen stuff is broken.
They were 5 hours late to come pack up my things. Even most cable companies are better than that.
They broke a piece of furniture.
They lost a box of my stuff, which included many DVDs and books.
They ruined two of my photos, which are not replaceable.
The only thing I told them that I didn’t want damaged was shoved with no care into a box of stuff.
They shoved a BUNCH of my items into boxes without any regard for whether they might bend or warp so now many of my books are warped.
Nationwide contracted out to Air1 without my knowledge and if I had known, I would have Unilocaled them and canceled my move.
They DOUBLED the cost of my move, saying that the estimate wasn’t accurate.
Now, I can’t get ahold of them to have the rest of my things delivered.
RUN. RUN NOW.

WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER !!! They showed up 45 minutes late to start.
please don’t contact this company because they will bring pain and trouble. I was only with the movers less than ½ hr before i asked them to leave for good. Terrible manners and far from professional. They raised their voices when I told them about the hidden prices, They told me up front that my place was huge and therefor they were going to take 6 or 7 hrs for a small one bath 2/​beds. They ad deed charges all over and told me that the job would cost me $ 800 or $ 900
i fired them on the spot and contacted another co that arrived four hrs late.
They new one finished in 4 hrs and the charge was $ 479.
I will NOT recommended this company to any one, what a nightmare !!!

Courteous, efficient, careful; these are qualities that set a moving company apart from the rest. Sadly, Air 1 Moving & Storage do not take these qualities to heart, let alone know what they mean.
Since my mood has managed to improve since they’ve left (which I didn’t think it would), I’ll keep it short and sweet. Fees. Fees everywhere. Don’t trust anything the sales rep says over the phone — Shawn (the guy managing the operation) tacked on so many hidden fees that the original quote was almost doubled.
Thankfully for us, our operations director countered every fake fee he tried to push on us. It might be the cheapest around but buyer beware — it’s not worth it.
TL;DR: this company will take a sh! t on your day and charge you heavily for it. Stay away!

The good
— my furniture was well protected and wasn’t damaged (except below)
— they showed up on time
— they helped me move something otherwise difficult to move
— generally nice
The bad
— They added on fees left and right. 10% fuel surcharge for moving a half mile away. $ 150 extra for moving a TV. Double time price for driving. None mentioned over the phone when quoted. Quoted half of what it cost.
— They round up their time calculations. 2.5 hours moving out became 3. 10 minutes driving became 30. 1.25 hours moving in became 2.
— I found out later my roommates bed had been damaged because it was dragged
All in all, nearly $ 700 for a 2 bedroom apartment move approx 0.5 miles away. I don’t mind paying a bit for service and I know manual labor’s tough, but when i get hidden fees and fuzzy math when I’m in a bind or after services are rendered, I get pissed. Go elsewhere.

My experience:
The company made a huge mistake on my reservation, telling the movers to come a day after I was expecting them to come. When I called to ask where they where the movers were– they realized there mistake but offered no compensation except to throw in the packing tape for free. That’s it.
Movers used 6 of their own boxes and charged $ 150.0 extra for materials. When reminded of the discount for the tape they said they could not honor that because they were not aware of the discount.
Charged an extra $ 75.00 for one flight of stairs– even though they use the elevator in the building.
When they arrived to the destination they came 3 days before they were supposed to.
Charged an extra $ 400.00 because the route they chose dd not have clearance for a semi-​truck and they had to switch to a smaller truck although there were several alternate routes they could have taken.
Horrible company. Horrible customer service.

The WORST!!!
Their sales say they can do anything but actually they do NOTHING. The pickup was not available at all on the whole week they said they would pick up. And they didn’t admit that until the day before my scheduled pickup day!!!
I am flying out the day after the scheduled pickup so it must happen. So Air 1 moving gave my order to another company, who nearly destrobyed my $ 1000+ HDTV at the pickup time. Right now I haven’t received my stuff so I don’t know whether the TV would still be working.
*Same* thing happens to the delivery. They said the delivery will happen tomorrow. But after hours of phone calls, I found my stuff is still in Arizona! There are so many problems that I don’t have time to list them.
After I placed my order, they never reply to my email nor return my phone call. If I call, I would be very luck if I can talk to someone without waiting for 10+ minutes.
I am still waiting for my stuff to delivery, they said they cannot guarantee any delvery time! Booking this company is really the worst mistake I made for my cross-​country moving!
A person must be crazy if he ever considers this company for moving.

I hate for my first post to be negative, but I feel it’s my duty to share my horrible experience with others so they don’t have to experience the same nigtmarish move that my husband and I endured with this company.
To summarize, the movers sent by this company were sneaky, dishonest, distructive and flat-​out lazy, and the management is unprofessional, rude, evasive and dishonest.
Long story short, it took these guys more than 6 hours total to move an already-​packed one bedroom apartment from the Marina to the Castro; they wrapped our white, Italian leather sofa in grease-​stained blankets and ripped one corner from the seam; and they punched a 6-​inch diameter hole in our entryway by slamming a foot of the couch into the wall…
Going through the claim process, we were met with unreturned calls, accusatory remarks (e.g. you have no respect for people who work with their hands) and lies. We are still fighting more than a month later to try and get reimbursed for some of the damage…
Please DO NOT use this company. I used them because they advertised at my JCC and I thought it would be cool to give my business to a Jewish company… I was wrong. Spread the word — these guys are crooks.
