Tarek Elhendawy – State Farm Insurance Agent

My wife and I set up home insurance with this State Farm office as we closed on our first home in ¹⁰⁄₂₀₁₄. I have a dog that is considered an «aggressive breed» so getting home insurance wasn’t that easy.
I worked with this office, and everything was okay. It was not until our neighbor’s home caught on fire in August 2015 that I was curious as to what our coverage really entailed. Additionally, we received our new policy information in the mail and I had questions about the details.
As I work in a sensitive profession, email is my best option for personal correspondence during the work day. I sent three emails over two weeks for our agent to call me, and she never did.
I contacted Liberty Mutual for a quote, and to my surprise we were under insured with State Farm based on our most recent county tax assessment. Additionally, Liberty Mutual is not charging me a premium due to the breed of my dog, and the home policy coverage is greater! I am saving over $ 44 per month by switching on home insurance alone, and I now have a responsive, professional agent for BOTH home and auto.
I understand people get very busy, but I am paying you and your organization for a specific service. The customer is not required to spend time out of their work day to get a hold of you. With that said, it is your responsibility to assist your customers, and in a reasonable time frame.

First of all, we have an appointment at 10am but Cindy didn’t show up until 10:25am. (It was raining heavily outside. Fortunately, we had umbrella with us)
After she arrived, we asked «isn’t the appointment at 10?» She replied «you know there is traffic, right? Do you always be on time and not being late before?»
The attitude was just bad and we asked at least you could give us a call but she said she doesn’t have the number. However, the fact is she called and left me a message yesterday. How could she not have my number? So I challenged her by stating this. She said «it’s not my business to bring your number with me» my wife said she could at least apologize for being late for almost half an hour, but she rudely said, «I am not going to. And it’s good that we are not going to deal on a regular basis»
I was upset by her attitude and hence said I would note down today’s incident. She said «good for you, go ahead»
I am so disappointed about this agent. Maybe StateFarm is a good company but it’s too bad that it has such a bad agent who totally downgrade the reputation of the company.

Tarek and especially Cindy are awesome. We have had State Farm for years in many different states with different agents and Tarek and Cindy are by far the best. State Farm has always been fantastic but my wife and I felt that our previous agents were some times too pushy to get you to sign up for additional coverages all the time. Not here, you go in tell them what you need and they deliver fantastically! They let you know that whenever you are ready they are here to help with adding coverages but they don’t call you every week asking you to add policies. I would definitely recommend them to everyone.
